We were better off when you were in office Mr. President Ronald Reagan. I was just a kid when you were in office. But while you were in office , I was proud boy in Cub Scouts. And I learned the the love of this country, for which it stands. I so happy that you are in heaven. We haven’t had a President like you in office since. Trump is close . I pray lord to bless this country.

When I was in college, I was supposed to right an essay about the 1980 Presidential Election and analyze what the differences were between Raegan and Carter and how their policies differentiated from one another in helping their campaigns. Those who were alive back then will tell you about the great Oil crisis America was dealing with. Supply and demand was through the roof and gas stations would ultimately run out of gas because people couldn’t afford it. Carter blamed the American people for the shortage whereas Raegan attacked the government and oil businesses for having price controls on oil. His charismatic personality and outstanding intellect won over the American people and he won both elections in a landslide. He was a man full of integrity, decency, and honesty. When Jimmy Carter was criticizing the people for the country’s problems, Raegan called out the government. He did an amazing job making life in this country so much better and he was well respected by both parties. He was the right leader at the right time for the United States and there will never be another like him.
RIP President Raegan, thank you for everything you did for this country. You will never be forgotten.

Man I miss the way things should and could be. The 80’s, when the economy hadn’t picked up fully, people were happy, everyone pro US that were in the US. Never looking at a cue card. Calm and cool while saying things today would be part of a scripted nasty borefest. Not many people would have said the country was better before he won than any point of his presidency. One day maybe.

    Hello...
I am insulting president Reagan, in fact I think his one of the best presidents...
But since I am American, I don't really understand, Americans humor...
    So... my question is this:
What was the funny thing about the line:
"I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience,"
Why did they laugh all of a sudden?
I really want to know, i want to use it more often if I can.
    Thanks
