    This looks so much easier.... Thank you for sharing this 2 ingredient recipe.. But isn't this same as white chocolate ganache recipe where white chocolate n cream is used? Please let me know.

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  3 года назад +3

      Yes, it is white chocolate and cream but the ratios are essential for a successful mirror glaze: too much chocolate and the glaze will be very thick and won't cover the cake all the way down to the bottom, and too thin you'll lose the boldness of the colours and be able to see the crumb coat through the glaze

    Hi Emily! This is so simple, thanks! I had the idea to do a mirror glaze and bought a lot of candy melts (on sale), can you use for mirror glaze? and if so, what would the ratio's be as candy melts dry hard? Thank you!

    So cool and fun! Do you have tutorials for other types of frosting, such as whipped cream frosting rather than using buttercream? I love buttercream but I would like to branch out and try something new!

    Can you simply substitute dark chocolate for white chocolate for a dark chocolate mirror glaze?

      2 parts white chocolate and 1 part cream (twice as much chocolate as cream)

    Thanks! I made actual mirror glaze *once* and it's so disgusting! This gives the same effect and (I assume) will actually taste good!

    • @BritishGirlBakes
      @BritishGirlBakes  3 года назад +2

      I LOVE the taste of it - just like white chocolate but not as sweet, and it's a very thin layer so the flavour of each bite comes mostly from the cake, filling, and frosting

    • @FelisTerras
      @FelisTerras 2 года назад +1

      Same here; I tried the original mirror glaze and the sheer amunt of swetness almost made me go blind. Plus, the overwhelming taste of condensed milk and white chocolate completely ruined the flavours of the cake itself. This seems far more balanced. Thanks so much.

      @@angeljoe218 yes it does work in a similar way but it is not the same. I expect more from this channel as I have come to expect quality. This is not that. If it is a hack that is being posted then say it. It would have probably got way more views being called Hate mirror glaze then try this.

      Love your title idea, Abby! Sorry to disappoint you with the recipe - I love it because it behaves and looks just like a mirror glaze but it's easier and tastes better in my opinion!
