Haven't watched the video yet. But I can imagine an April Fools version of this which is something like "All you have to do is become a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience" or "You need to create a MySpace page because it's a super untapped space no one is talking about".
@@patrickspiegel yeah I will, I just need to get the rhythm of how to shoot and place together the clips. What do you think about making Linkedin carousel posts instead? For instance I create a multi-page post with both text, a screenshot of the site I intend to critique, and notes on it on what I critique. Maybe not as effective I guess?
Hey Patrick I checked out the profile of the person that was making this “free audit” for instagram pages in the online fitness industry, and I can see they ask to comment for a specific word to get their audit, I guess they collect emails after that, but what if we don’t have that Manychat setup yet but still want to start a conversation with the people who are interested, do you manually DM people who comment or how do you do a proper CTA after this specific content? (Btw loving the free Skool community so far)
Hey Patrick, great video, I agree with you and I plan on doing some of this soon. Just need to pick a few sites which I can review, and shoot some clip.
@@patrickspiegel yes I agree with that too, I have the gist of how it works a bit already. I did a few loom videos for a few companies, though I did not get any response 😂
@@DanieleManca1983 Haha ah yeah you mentioned on the Skool call. I would use that time that you would spend in loom outreach, and put it into social media review content ;)
Cool idea. Couple of questions if you don't mind - This is pretty linked to the visual side of things, right? I guess you could do content too, but it would be hard to do for say SEO, or site performance (because ultimately that would probably involve moving their platforms, or it would be difficult to show for example the impact of image resizing or compression) Also, would you recommend a minimium standard of website you critique? IE: is it better to critique an already professional looking site in order to attract higher value customers, or go for more obvious issues on a less professional site? Thanks a lot!
Great questions Nick! But you're wrong 😉. In the Pro 💎 Skool, I show 3 accounts that have more than 20K, 50K & 100K followers that get clients by talking about SEO, systems (not visual) and technical aspects of websites. So this doesn't apply to only designs or so :) Critique any website that you can. As in critique the websites of your ideal clients!
@@patrickspiegel wrong? doesn't sound like me ;) tbf, you did say @4:00 that it's about avoiding the "technical seo stuff" - and i think i broadly agree, clients don't care, i just wanted to clarify. do think this is a good way to go, but think there might be struggles explaining to a customer in a short why my cloudflare site is better than their wordpress hosted site in anything other than technical terms.
@@nickwoodward819 Well that's a good point you bring up actually! So it depends on exactly what your offer is of course, but you could go into the technical aspect of it a bit. Or I would rather call it "system proof", where you show the overall funnel, system of your services which can help explain why it is so effective etc.
I think so as well. It can be tricky to sign clients without sales calls. The best way to sell websites without having calls is to build trust before hand. The best way to do this is with a great portfolio or social media accounts. So either posting content and showing that you’re an expert. Or building great accounts on freelancing platforms.
@@patrickspiegel Well, I can speak English, but the people you are selling things to expect high standards from you, and they also notice your accent.

@@patrickspiegel an export niche. I have several website that promote commodities, hope with this "type" of content I can provide value and study case with my website ☺️
It could, but you wouldn't be getting business owners as leads. you would be getting other web developers as leads :) What businesses or people are you trying to sell to?
It completely depends on where your target audience is. If they are on Instagram, then post to instagram. If they are on RUclips or LinkedIn, then post there :) What businesses are you targeting?
yes definitely, tbh i got this idea a month back, like the whole content marketing funnel thing, i have already started my Instagram page. but my niche is not web design, its graphic design. my plan is to create at least create content for a month then start posting (as in my research i have found that posting regularly at same time makes HUGE impact, more then we think) but then 3 things are coming in my way, maybe you can shed some light on these? first, if i try to make content related to graphic design like cool fonts to use / short tutorial / design breakdown etc, my content will appeal to graphic designers only and of course they are not going to become clients, rather ill have to try to sell some course or digital products such as textures, brushes etc to ultimately make money. my question from this context is how to make this content marketing funnel to appeal to real clients? like for logo designs or flyer etc. second, i also know how to make websites (wordpress, elementor). but i dont have real website clients yet as compared to graphic design (i work in fiverr and have done more than 150 orders) so now i am thinking if i try to start web design content marketing funnel, ill have to put my focus here and make a whole new social media for this, cant do both graphic and web together as it will hamper quality. so imo i shouldn’t do both. so my question from second context is should i fully move to web design or stick to graphic 😅 will love your opinion/suggestion.
@ultradesigninspirations5585 I would stick to why you know for now. And I would recommend posting designs, logos, and focus on the why. Why do your services help your clients. Rather than showing them tips on how to make a nice logo, focus on showing them your work and why it will help their business. Also document your journey. You can record videos of you designing etc. this will help build trust and a personal connection with you as a brand. Hope that gives you some ideas.
