Good work Ben. Qpr have played a lot of the top sides in their first few games. Would be happy with a play off push. Just can’t see where all the goals will come from to keep us up there.
I'm a Blade and seeing QPR in that position shocks me. We were 2-0 up against them, first half at home. They slowed the game down to walking pace and I thought "here we go, 5 nowt to utd!"....came back and got a 2 all at the lane. They played a very, very, clever, tactical game and a lot of that's down to their manager. I'm 56, watched how a lot of games have gone down but to me that was a tactical masterclass. I'd say QPR will definitely be top 8. UTD when they gel and get a bit more depth, automatic...ish!!!!!
Hope you are well Ben, Good old saying it's not how you start but how you finish have every faith Argyle will overcome but if not hopefully the 5 year plan still stays 💚
I love preseason predictions, but always find trying to update those predictions after so few games difficult. So many things can change between this stupid international break and the next stupid international break. My heart says Leeds as Champions, my head says who the hell knows... I'll probably go back to my predictions at the end of October 😊
Every Leeds fan feels you. I love the idea of us being at the top but betting odds don’t win titles and it would such a Leedsy thing for us to finish third in two successive seasons.
It's still early days, but how on earth are Wednesday predicted to finish higher than before? Since beating Plymouth it's been one way traffic in the league, and their stats are appalling.
We (Argyle) are definitely going down. The appointment of Rooney and lack of spending in the transfer window proves that our board do not give a toss about us. We could rot in League Two for all they could care.
Norwich fan but I think if Sargent can stay healthy I actually feel we could sneak into the playoffs. Maybe I’m dreaming but I feel we have a very solid team full of youngsters
You had blackburn relegated this season, claiming chaos, yet other teams have shown throughout as worse. We had a poor season last year, but our starting 11 is top 10, and this season, we have recruited and have players to come in and help out the team let alone cantwell who if he's up for it could be the best player in the league.
11:43 Think that’s unfair Ben, we’d be a few places lower for sure but our squad really isn’t as bad as people make out. Some real quality there & a very strong transfer window as Sam referred to
Even with the initial losses that Millwall had they still scored more goals than most teams... now we have injured players back AND strengthened our team too we should stop the leaks at the back... as long as we don't get too many injuries, we could very well finish in the top 6... don't forget, it has only been 4 games so far. Watch this space!
MILLWALL=19TH?? INSANE.....This is a better squad than the one, 2 seasons ago, that was minutes away from the playoffs. 4 different Managers last year(more than in my first 25 years of following them) ruined their season but under their legend returning, they were TOP of the last 10 fixtures, winning their last 5 and finishing 13th. NOW Tanganya has formed a partnership with Cooper, with Leonard(player of the year) and Ex-Premier: Joe Bryan in the back 4,a clux of midfield players with Esse looking good.New signings and THREE new forwards(Langstaff 100 goals in 3 seasons-lower level) Coburn and Club record signing to play.NONE of these played in that Home defeat or the 4/3 at Bristol City when 3/2 up with a few minutes lef. TOP 10.....
My team Coventry really need to get thier act together. They were absolute poision against Norwich. Mistake after mistake, was like watching a schoolboy team, they couldn't string two passes together. In my opinion Robins has gone with the wrong starting 11 in the league games. I would have Thomas all day before Latibeaudiere and Eccles is'nt good enough at championship level.
Coventry are more likely to finish bottom 6 than top 6. Appallingly bad performances for the most part this season and over reliance one 1 player who’s always injured. No point having 7 or 8 attacking players with no ball winners and creative players in the engine room and a leaky back line to make things worse.
I'm always a bit nervous when I see my team at the expected top of the pile. But this is Leeds United, we have a habit of doing the unexpected. Of course, you would back Leeds to run out winners being the biggest fish in this particular pond, but we've been that many times at this level and look what's happened! Are we better than last season, having lost our three best players? The jury's out, but I live in hope, as all we hopelessly obsessed idiots have to do!
Argyle will be relegated. I have been saying it since Rooney's appointment. The board were warned. This will be a long, depressing season. I just want it to be over now.
I would agree with most of that but would have is (Sunderland) swap it places with Burnley. They looked absolutely ordinary when they played us and could have lost by 6 quite easily. Reason I think we end up second is exactly that, we still don't seem to have solved our no.9 goal scorer and are missing some absolute sitters in front of goal. Difference this year as compared to previous is our defence looks rock solid so we should be able to maintain a top 2 spot (injuries not withstanding).
@@leslieleaver7004 yup we are also in the boat of selling our best players as soon as we can make money, sadly that's the life of the majority of Championship squads today. You cannot live in 'if we' scenarios you have to look at the reality of the situation. The reality being your side looked awful, if not for some really bad finishing from Roberts you would have conceded another three at least - but that's another 'if only' so we look at how the game was not how it 'could' have been.

Sunderland will finish about 8th so the bookies will make a killing. I don't fancy Leeds finishing top 2 either. There's not much value to be had, Luton might be worth a punt for top 2.
Yea best sqaud in league that got 90 pts last season in stronger league than this and 3 clean sheets in a row, stronger sqaud than last season, will slap the also rans
I thinks Leeds are looking good. I'm quite happy we didn't overspend for a no10. Squad is good enough for top 2. 49ers clearly want a lean squad to get out of the league and pay off the Victor Ortas overpriced players. They surely will also be setting money aside for Elland Road improvements of we go up. The stadium needs to be 40k+ and I'd argue Leeds in the Prem fill 45-48k As for the rest of the league. Sunderland look to be on a runner and can never discount the best manager in the league Mr Corberán. I do think Luton will turn things around for a solid mid table finish. Also think Plymouth will he fine once they inevitably sack Rooney and bring back Ryan Lowe
As a Watford fan i would take 12th I think we are making a comeback under cleverly but if he leaves or is sacked we will never get close to promotion but I think we might finish really close with Luton
