Tavian Strahan same here i just hate myselfe for getting a pre build system but hopefully ill get a new pc that i will build myselfe (i7 6700k and a 1070 or a 1080)
TDG - Gaming channel its ok if you are ok with shitty cable managment and you might not be able to upgrade it or atleast I really can't cause the lay out on my pre built pc is weird and you could get a candy bar and some coke with the 5£
ItzzSlayer dudes, I waited 2 years saving for my PC, and it is well worth it. So far, it can run every game at 60 FPS ( Rust at 60, CSGO at 240, right now my game is Kerbal space program, and it runs at 144 at all times. ) trust me, I only played Nintendo, with the exception of my PS2, and when I first got into PC gaming, it was on a sucky laptop. But even with a sucky laptop I learned the pros of PC gaming, and I ended up buying my amazing PC, that I plan on upgrading this year to produce those ultra settings on every game I play ( and possible VR I only have a gtx960 ).
I am unsure of your current financial situation, but be as creative as possible to get that cash flowing. To ease the pain, I would advise something different from what most people say. With about $400 even less, you can get your pc running (no gpu). Then save up another 75$-200$ to get a solid GPU (75$ can get you a solid used gpu). That is what my little brother did. We were suprised on what he can run with the new intel igpu. He went with the i5 now and add a solid GPU later instead of the i3 and mediocre gpu now. It really makes your money last in the long run.
ItzzSlayer I sold my Xbox one to make mine just before summer. Gunna be buying a new Xbox just for the exclusives like halo and destiny but not till after Christmas as the price will have dropped a fair bit anyway
PC gaming has taught me an extremely valuable lesson; if a machine is making a loud grinding noise, don't panic but do something really fucking quickly.
I remeber watching these back when I was a peasant. My ascension was well worth it. (edit) For anyone wondering, the PC gamming community is a very friendly and welcoming group. We hate console arrogance, not necessarily the consoles themselves.
Ludwig The Lizard which i dont get. if youll have the time to play on pc, put in extra time at work or do a few extra odd jobs to be able to buy a decent entry level pc (you can achive 1080p 60fps for
R&R i guess you don't know what it actually is go on the reddit page and look at the right hand side.It tells you what a peasant actually means heck a youtuber called Rags is part of the PC master race and he made fun of someone who was saying he was the only one that talk to people on consoles and try to get them to switch becuase he had a very expensive PC.He even called that guy a peason.A PC gamer can be a peasant all it means is your ignorant and don't look up facts.
Good points. I just wanna add. If you have built a PC, and you live with people, be prepared to share. I have the Xbox one connected to the 43" inch TV in the living room, my dad always interrupts me to watch his channels. I built a decent gaming PC, my mom and sister come to watch their RUclips and music videos. I fear that if I even built one more PC for "myself", my sister will always be on it.
I would agree, but it's different for me. I share a house with 4 people and everyone has their own phones and laptops/computers and my siblings only use mine to play games every once in a while
Michel Hanson if you buy it with your own money its yours. Your mom wouldnt let you use her shit, no reason they can use things you buy with your own money you worked for, not them.
dumb fuck I suggest get the 169$ ryzen 5, get a sub 200 dollar Rx 470 or 480 and 8gb of ram probably 50$, 120gb ssd and a 1tb HDD around 100, a 50$ case, and a 70 dollar Mobo. So around 600 or 700
I'd say overwatch, CSGO, rocket league, or battlefield, if u want multiplayer. For solid single player go for farcry 3, farcry primal, doom, or metal gear solid 5. For racing u can get Forza Motorsport Apex off the windows store for free!!!
I feel like you're more down to earth than other RUclipsrs. I love guys like Linus and Jay but it feels like this has become such a job for them that games have become benchmarks rather than something to play. But you have managed to remain a gamer and makes you more relatable
@@samucaeosmano9207 it was an x51 a customer was getting rid of it thinking it was broken due to a junk removal but nah it was pretty mint. Had an i7 processor well eventually i gave it away to buddy lf mine who was really to computers
Hard drives and power supplies failing? LOL wat never had that happen, more like driver and firmware issues. I've got laptop hdds from 8 years ago still running
Hard Drives inevitably break down simply they're mechanical. SSD's solves this problem but at the same time, they're prone to data corruption. Power supplies will easily last you for 8 or so years (assuming you don't have a tesla coil as a PC)
My consoles failed more than my PC. I lost a 360 to Assassin's Creed II, I lost my original Xbox to a fatal error when I was a kid, my PS2 could only boot the menu, and my second 360 had it's power brick failed to the point where I had to have six fans pointed at it and even then after 30 mins it failed again. When an error happens on PC, I can fix it with a google search or a toggled option. When a console fails, there isn't much you can do but call and complain
Consoles and PC's fail about the same they are both computers the difference is the quality of parts. On a console Sony and Microsoft take a loss at the beginning but know they will get it back from there stupid online service that doesn't actually do anything except grant you access to the internet that you already pay for.
R&R, that's my point. You can't say one fails more than the other. The advantage that PC has isn't that it fails less, it's that when it fails you can fix it yourself with a little research and forum digging. When a console fails, you can't do much without voiding your warranty and ultimately will have to send in for repairs or request a new console. You are at the mercy of your warranty. If my hard drive fails, well, that's why I backup everything. A new hard drive isn't very expensive, unless it's an SSD and even then. When it comes to hardware failures, everything is compartmentalized so you can address individual issues. And moreover, most game crashes aren't simply due to hardware failures. It's usually a file or setting you can edit / toggle. Whereas on console, if a game kills your box, then that's it. When ACII killed my 360 (or should I say...assassinated) I had been running through a crowd when all of a sudden Ezio started tripping over invisible dudes. And then the console shut off. And wouldn't turn on. Rise of the Tomb Raider is a good example. I had a glitch that kept crashing the game at the final cutscene. I looked it up, and it was happening on console too, and most everybody was either clueless, blamed it on the user, or just echoed. No solution was ever posted because it was a console forum. I figured out that all I had to do was uncheck a single graphical setting and the game ran fine. Meanwhile that console user even tried reinstalling the game and it still hadn't worked. The PC gives you more of an opportunity to fix problems that arise on both, because to +TechMan221's point, they are made of same types of components. The difference is, is that the PC is open and you can tinker as needed, even at an entry level. The point of my original comment was to illustrate that neither fails more often than another. It's all luck. I have the kind of luck where I'm pulling duty three times a week, sometimes on conflicting days. My consoles failed a lot.As CultofMush said, in his experience, the PC failed more. It's all chance because they have the same types of components. Hard drives fail on console too. I kept my original Xbox 360 HDD in the hopes that I'd be able to use it, but after some time the console wouldn't even recognize it and acted like the 4 gb base system. However, the advantage lies in being able to troubleshoot and fix things at your level instead of relying on patches and MS / Sony.
idkwmgtis well thats frankly not true just statistically speaking consoles fail less often than pcs do just because you had different experiences to someone else doesn't mean that the overall trend is can be ignored
R&R Wargaming Can you link anything supporting that? If anything CAN support it, seeing as more people would report a console failing to the manufacturer as opposed to, say, fixing it themselves like people tend to do with PC.Consoles fail, and frequently. Even back in the day, when the SNES would wonk out and you had to do some funny shit to get it to read cartridges or even turn on properly, that's technically a console failure. And nowadays since they're quite literally made of the same bits, the only reason a statistic would be skewed toward consoles is because to fix a console failure you HAVE to report it to stay in compliance with the warranty. Not to mention, most console users - the general populace so to speak - don't know how to fix a specific part, they just replace the whole damned thing unless it's something external like the power brick. Even if you CAN provide a credible source, you can't account for THAT trend. It's inherent to the nature of the products.Besides, unless you deliberately murk up your PC, it will not "fail" anymore than a console because the PC as a whole will not fail. The parts can. The same goes for console, but the difference is that on PC it's entirely painless to swap out any hard drive you happen to have laying around. You can even gut an old PC if you needed to. You have the freedom to fix your problems on PC.
correction! your performance will stay the same! your hardware is not deteriorating. it's not getting worse, so the performance is not getting worse. what happens is PC titles always evolve. if you can't run a game on ultra, 1080p, 60fps now but you could run another game on ultra, 1080p, 60fps before, that doesnt mean your performance is getting worse. it means the new game is more demanding. it wants better performing hardware. generally, your current hardware has it's limits, and all games will look on a relative level all the time (if they use all the resources) no matter how old are they (and depending on engines and optimizations of course). playing a game from 2010 on ultra cannot even be compared to playing the witcher 3 on low for example. but that doesnt mean a pc that is playing witcher 3 on low has worse performance than the pc which is playing the game from 2010! while consoles are a constant, so developer always adjust their games for that constant, PCs are not. so developers try to squeeze everything they can. a console have an X rating of performance. so all games are adjusted to this X rating. newer games from the console life may look better, but that's because of better engines and optimizations, they still require the same X amount of performance. it's the same with PC. your PC has a constant amount of performance. but now instead of the developer adjusting the game for that constant, it's you who is adjusting. if you want to play all new games on ultra, 1080p, 60fps, you need to upgrade frequently. but that cannot be compared to consoles in any way, it is just something that consoles don't have equivalent option. because games on consoles are not on ultra (excluding the games that are not demanding). a game from the end of a console life, can be made to look a lot better. but the developer "downgraded" the graphics so it still requires the X amount of performance the console can deliver. saying you have to upgrade your PC as a negative, is like saying you have to buy the new console when it comes out a couple of years later, so you can play the new games with better graphics. "upgrading your PC" is not a negative. it's not really a positive either. it's an option. if you want you can build a PC and play games on it for the next 5 years. yes at the fifth year the games wont look as good as they possibly can. but it is the same on consoles. games that came out at the end of PS3 and Xbox360 and were available for the PS4 and XBO looked like shit on the PS3 and xb360. my PC is from the fall of 2012. i haven't upgraded it since (except for an ssd, which is not increasing performance). so it is a 4 yo PC. yes i cannot run new games on ultra anymore, but i can still play anything i want.
i had a issue with my pc that i was turning off because of some power surge protection so i did my research and ppl who had the same problem said to remove the 24 pin motherboard cable and plug it back in so i did it and it worked i fucking love pc and i will not go to console unless for exclusive
I remember it took me about a good month until i had a full grip on how everything works and what does what. When i built my 600$ pc it booted up first day and when i came back to it in the morning it did not turn on and so i opened it up and started trouble shooting talking with a friend of mine who has also built a pc and after sending back psu then graphics card and then the motherboard which all came to no fix my friend suggested i take out the cpu and turn it on. I take out the cpu and switch it on and guess what. It turns on. I sent back the cpu really happy i found the issue 3 weeks later still no return had my parents call up the mailing services and they all said it has gone missing so thats a loss of 90$ had to wait until i can buy another cpu. Even after all these problems i pity those that would choose console over pc since pc looks so goddam nice and for the problems side its different for everyone. Some people never have issues some have a lot like i did, but what i got in return for the issues i can kind of forget about them.
Gotta say knowing Ill be heading into PC gaming in the next two months is exciting. Watched this to see what I had to deal with but it seems like it wont be all too difficult
I'm going to have to strongly disagree with your third point. This is really only valid if you play on playing every single latest game at the highest graphic fidelity on top of that 1080p/60 (or 1440p/60 for a 1070.) You could always just lower your graphic settings over time... I got a 970 for 1080p gaming before I bought a 1440p screen, I still got to play everything at 60fps... Even the RX 460 can easily manage 1080p/60 paired with an i3. Sure console games tend to look better as time goes on, but so do games on PC. Lets say you got to play at ultra in 2012 and now can only do medium, well those medium graphics today will still look as good, if not even better as the ultra in 2012. When you don't upgrade your GPU, your games will still look better on it than on the consoles. 8:10 Sure, people do it. But just because a lot of people do it, doesn't mean that you _have_ to.
him mentioning u will deal with pc hardware issues kind of often legitimately changed my mind on getting a pc. Had my ps4 for years now, has never caused me an issue.
Rust WAS a great PC exclusive. 1000 hours later and it's just a grind and waste of time. No skill anymore, the community has just been taken over by 10 year olds that spend hundreds of bucks on skins
Yo mush, what do you think of the Nintendo switch? I know Nintendo isn't really a thing you talk about on the channel, but it looks pretty HYPE! its got a SH*t load of third party supporters like Capcom, Bethesda, Square Enix, Activision, Ubisoft and MANY MORE.
Clorox Bleach not to be a negative Nancy because I'm actually digging the switch but I don't think a portable system will have the raw power to play Skyrim enhanced (or at least not that well) and even if it could it'd probably be expensive as hell to purchase
i see all these comments saying "I don't have friends" If you guys are serious then that means you only have 2 reasons why you don't want to switch over 1) you like to play at 30 fps 3) you don't want to waste $$$
Very relatable, I just got into PC gaming ( I7 4790k-GTX 1070-16gb-wind 10) and I ran into a shit tone of problems which I'm still trying to overcome. I was pretty sad about it at first but I'm still very much excited to play on PC.
Vasa Sasa don't get disappointed man. If ever you run into problems, the pc master race community can be a real boon. Just don't go into new stuff without any knowledge about it. (overclocking, downloading from any unofficial sources, etc) and you'll be fine. PC as a platform requires some research but it's not rocket science. Also, the community would be more than happy to help.
I like it that with PC if you don't want to splash out on a GPU every 2 years you can just drop down from Ultra to High or even Medium to keep that 1080p60 consistency. The difference between High and Ultra is often hardly noticeable, but can take a big load off the GPU.
Hi I'm currently a PS4 peasant I really love games like Day z but there not on PS4. I want to get a good cheap pc that can run these sort of games Any recommendations
Adding to point 3. The thing I like about performance on PC is if you want to maintain that solid 1080p/1440p 60fps you can always turn down several graphics settings. I have a pretty good I5 CPU, but an old Asus Geforce GTX 660. Even if I turn my settings down to med or low, it looks better than console and makes that solid framerate on almost all the newest games
and i am talking about of everything on fucking ULTRA if you put the things on high or medium you will be good for a looooong time There are on youtube benchmarks with the I3 running FUCKING EVERYTHING including the most demanding games like witcher 3
I got into PC gaming 9/15/2015 (well my pc was assembled on that date), I was happy af because i already had a small collection of pc games i already bought beforehand (the sims II-IIII, total war, and cities skylines). 1. Never just buy games from Steam. Humble Bundle, G2A, GOG, Greenman Gaming, Social club, Uplay, Origin, CDKeys, and some others have some decent prices compare to just steam. Half of my collection of games (25) are from sales including humble bundle 5-game sales, I bought the entire the entire saints row collection for $27, i bought nba 2k17 for $40, and the list goes on. 2. Register your gpu with nividia or AMD ASAP. I was able to alpha or beta test a couple of games: Lawbreakers (TBR) and the Division only because i registered my msi 970. 3. The Community is friendly and usually willing to help with whatever issue you have. Instead of screaming and demanding help each game you have has a community tab or thread board where you can ask for help and usually you will find the issue you're having already explained. 4. Customization is the best part of pc gaming. Instead of removing games because your hdd is full you can a lot of hdd space and still have room for other media things like pictures, videos, documents, programs, and whatever else.
Let me just start by saying that I love your channel Cult and have been watching you for some time now. However I have to disagree when it comes PC hardware not being able to support new games in the upcoming 2-3 years. Atleast not like when your graphics card was new. Older Cards can still run games like GTA v and witcher 3 at 1080p no problem without any major graphical degradation. Sure PC has its own problems but Consoles have it far worse. Games are getting more demanding... and yet most games have to run at 900p on the first gen ps4 and Xbox ones. even the newer consoles have upscaling for both 1080p and 4k resolution. wanna know why they never released a 1440p gaming console. its because they can't. most games are locked at 30fps or have very low presets. atleast with PC in the future you don't have to play games at 4k. stick to 1080p.
What people don't realise is that u can get a pc that runs most titles maxed out then 1-2 years later u have to put games on high to get a solid 60. It doesn't matter if now it running games on high and not ultra because now games on high look much better than games on ultra. Recently realised this when playing bf1 with a friend. He was winging because he could run bf4 on ultra and bf1 only on medium. Thing is, even bf1 on low looks better than bf4 on ultra😂
That's true for everything except texture quality. I have a Gtx 750 ti and can run Tomb Raider on Ultra including tressfx, but struggle with Rise of Tomb Raider on low/med and in cut-scenes and when you get close to a wall you do notice the difference.
coolpietpizza It depends on the game tbh. I went back to bf4 after bf1 and the textures looked terrible. Can't u up the texture quality? I found that it didn't make too much of a difference fps whise. u just need enough Vram
Yes, that is my point old graphics cards only have 2-3gb of Vram and know 4 is the norm, so games use more and consequently they look a bit worse, if you don't have enough amount.
i just got into pc gaming, i used to be a console peasant, i loved xbox one the most then i really saw pc gaming for what it was, and all the benifits that came with it. so i saved for a year or so, and bought myself a decent gaming pc and a gaming keyboard and mouse a nice monitor, a desk, a chair etc. it totaled out around 1000 dollars. which is not that bad compared to thats how much some people pay for just their pc. and the money was worth it. my i3 6100 and gtx 750ti handles game just fine and i will never go back to being a peasant. such glory
no.2 is a pain. ive been pc gaming for about 4 months now and ive had to deal with; driver issues, connection issues, performance issues and a load of other minor problems like crashes and peripherals disconnecting. It isn't too much to fix but just annoying though. Still worth playing pc :)
I first built a $800 build in 2013, and now I finally upgraded to around a $1200-1400 build. I didn't necessarily need to upgrade, but performance wise, my 1070 easily gets 144fps in Gears. I should be good for at least 4 years, IMO.
Also the guy who got me into PC has been using a GTX 970 for ages now, and it still runs fine and looks better than most new console games. He said he hasn't upgraded because he hasn't needed to. I would argue that you can get more out of a good GPU for longer.
Hey Cult! Another PC exclusive is the Total War series! Very good strategy game with huge amries battling each other! Civilization is another pretty good game!
I’m selling my PS4 and laptop right now for a PC because my competitive nature won’t allow me to ignore the higher skill gameplay of pc and I’m excited to be a part of it!! Plus building a pc is like adult legos lol this is why I love ikea/ Walmart furniture
Here's the best thing about upgrading on PC. The vast majority of games will run just fine on any quad core cpu that's tied to a strong GPU. For example my old Phenom 2 x6 1090T will still run any game today as long as you put a decent GPU on it (and not the GTX 560 I bought back in 2009.) I can't think of a game on the market right now that won run at least 1080p 60 fps that needs anything more than an I5 4690K with a GTX 1060/RX560
I've had my rig for 9 months and so far my experiences on it have been terrific. I agree the only cons is that their exclusive games are hard to find. I'm starting to get hang of everything... MB: Asus Z170 deluxe Processor: Intel i7 6700K / Skylake Ram: Trident G-Skills / Z-series: 3200MHZ Storage: WD 2TB Mechanical Hard drive/7200rpm Samsung Evo v2. SSD/M.2: 500GB PNY SSD: 240GB GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW / NVIDIA OS: Windows 10/ 64 bits Direct X12
I remember when I got the original Bioshock for next to nothing and audio didn't work AT ALL. I trudged through multiple pages of discussions on Steam before I found out that you had to mess with some settings and play it in compatibility mode. Thankfully they released a new version and I got it for free which was excellent. Honestly that feels like it's often the case where things work out one way or another if you take the time to tackle it or sometimes just incidentally.
I'm currently running a R9 380 and a E8400 Intel Core 2 Duo with a MAD OLD LGA 775 motherboard (for those who don't know the E8400 is a VERY old $1 CPU that's is crud when it comes to gaming). And I can't play a lot of games I wanted to with this config', games like the Metro games, Shadow of Mordor and even Skyrim (I had to go from 149 mods to 99 mods to get it to run ok). I am planning to buy a new motherboard and CPU this holiday in the sales (my first time buying a new CPU and Motherboard). But even though I don't have a great system I built it myself and I've had some of my favorite gaming experiences while on PC like with some of the Skyrim Mods, I've had a GREAT time with them and some games I played throughout my childhood like Fire Emblem : Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem on GBA, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Age of Mythology, and some of the star wars games like KOTOR I, Republic Commando, and Battlfront 2. I've also had a great time replaying games that I've played on console, games like Halo CE, Portal, and Brothers : A Tale of Two Sons. I've also had insane experiences that you can't get on the current consoles, games like Half-Life and Half-Life 2, Black Mesa, Transmissions, Halo Online, GoldenEye : Source, Undertale, Torchlight II, and (For now) Stardew Valley. And the Mods! Oh the Mods! They are probably THE reason to switch to PC. Exploring the INSANE expansion sized worlds people make in Skyrim, Playing the Witcher 3 in First-Person, playing a DOG and mauling people's legs in GTA V, becoming immersed in the great Half-Life mods like Transmissions: Element 120, getting impressed with Portal Stories: Mel, talking to fully voiced user created NPCs (and crying from their stories) in Skyrim, playing all the LOTR movies in Age of Mythology, experiencing a practically new Halo with the SPV3 mod for Halo CE, playing L4D as the Ninja Turtles, playing Pokemon in Stardew Valley, getting new experiences from the The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod KOTOR II, dating a skeleton in Underta- the list goes on and on.... You don't need to have a beefy system to experience the cream of the crop on PC, yeah Witcher 3 and GTA V are fun with Mods but you need something other than a Core Duo to run them. What I'm saying is that most of the best experiences right now on PC can be done with Intel Integrated Graphics and AMD APUs it's kind of crazy with how much you can experience with not a whole lot of power.
I am transitioning through console peasant to pc master race, im getting my gaming pc headset moniter keybaord mouse and mouse pad, thanks for the help through the my evaluation!
I agree with everything said, however, consoles may last like so many years as you said roughly 5-7, however you can still get performance and enjoyment out of a PC for about just as long, it all depends on the individual, say I'm a casual console player, I play titles like Bf4, COD(ewh nah jk haha)etc: and I want to get a PC to play games like on console, but just with the choice and ability to upgrade maybe to do and render videos with more options, or simply tio crank the graphics higher and have a beter overall experience, I can do that, even be it with slightly out of Gen hardware, but then again, we all know this, so why tf am I explaining it xD good vid Mush!!!
Personal experience. Spent about $1400 on pc 5-6 years ago. The only thing I did was add ram which was 80$, still game pretty fine. I have nvidiagtx 770, I drive overwatch 60 FPS + on high settings. Just played planet coaster just fine at high (start lagging only after 2300 people on screen). I played the new doom with 60+ no problem. I got lucky with nothing breaking down over the years. Yes I can't play tripple A titles at ultra graphics, but it's good enough
i just switched to pc at the very beginning of this year. i would recommend it for enthusiastic gamers. Some people just want to power up a system and controller and play their game. They might be disappointed with having to adjust and tweak games and system settings. i myself dont mind and the performance on PCs compared to console is worth it. Also games tend to be cheaper on PC including last gen games that can be upscaled to look amazing.
Yeah the irony spend a lot on pc and, get cheap quality games or, spend minimal on console and, get gamefly and, buy your favorite games. Yep i concur pc should do more mass audience games. Pc has become a litany of second rate. Although Doom was definitely a breath of fresh air in this age of cyber excrement.
When i was on console i only played Cod/bf and maybe some other games because games were expensive and not alot of choice but since ive been on pc(couple of years) ive found games i would have never played before
Idc about pc vs console. I play on PC when it comes to League or CSGO. But on Xbox One, I play COD, Battlefield, and most of all I just chill out with my friends. Console is more laid back for me.
Generally, a good GPU will last you four years, i.e. two generations. The rule of thumb of GPU upgrade is skip a generation (unless you're a super enthusiast). A 290x is more than capable of handling 1080p games at high and above settings with consistent 60fps. And that's a three year old card. The thing is, playing games on high is much less demanding that playing games on ultra and the visual differences are marginal, but somehow on PC we've accepted that Ultra is the bar for quality, while on console it's Medium. And that is silly, because for the most part, to get a console experience on PC you have to drop console amount of money for hardware.
The games you play will look just as good as they did on the day you built your PC for quite some time. yeah, ultra settings keep improving but your graphics really weren't worse because you had to step down to the high.
1. As for the exclusives or just the system in general the lack of hype/advertisements means less of your friends that will get the game unless you already built/joined a community of PC gamers. 2. I feel like you may have overcorrected a bit. Good hard drives should last about the life cycle of a console (4-5 years minimum), but of course they can go out sooner. Good PSU's should last well over the life cycle of a console. Parts can go out, but that is reduced to a minimum if reliable parts are bought at from the beginning. Also, most people can fix most pc problems with a little research or guidance. As far as repairs for consoles, well it is usually easier to just buy another one. 3. Once again maybe some over correcting for the bias, but you could at least remind people a gpu will last a console generation if they dont mind the reduction in resolution or graphics settings. I understand and agree to have a consistent high/ultra 1080p 60fps experience you will need to upgrade every 2-3 years, but that is not the case for everyone. I hope I don't come off as a douche with the feedback, I just want to help inform the newer people of pc community. Great points brought up and great videos as always though.
i found that most of my initial issues with pc gaming was with the windows software in terms of compatibility and not with building it itself, it's actually kinda fun to build a pc LOL
I first got into PC gaming in 2012 and it my old PC recently died on me. I had an AMD Radeon graphics card and I loved it. It played newer titles somewhat decent, but it wasn't smooth at all. I saved up my money and finally trashed my dead PC and earlier today, I ordered the Digital Storm Aura AIO PC and it has a NVidia GTX 1080 graphics card. It's being custom built. Can't wait for it to come in! Shit cost me over $3,000, but fuck it, it was totally worth it. Lmao.
In about 5~ years of pc gaming, I haven't had a single hardware hickup. Sure, a few issues once in a while with software, glitches, etc. But never a failed hdd, failed psu etc. In fact, I went through like 4 Xbox 360s and 2 Xbox ones due to the red ring and the software issue with the launch Xbox one.
Why not make the keyboard more comfortable? On console controls, you get a controller that morphs to your hands. After all, it's how gaming started(NES). On pc, the mouse I like, accurate, comfortable, simple. Keyboard, Do I NEED 20 fingers?!?
I feel like the whole upgrading PC parts is still better than buying a new console every 5 years because with the consoles you have to drop $400+ for the entire console while with PC you can just upgrade the individual parts that you want to be replaced. Any thoughts?
my advice in PC gaming is to just start use your laptop with the Intel HD graphics and play some games so you're not spending that much money to get into a system that you don't even know if you're going to like I started out like this about 3 years ago my first game was TF2 then I started playing rust and I went on from there most of my PC Library nowadays are still the games that I bought back once I was playing on the laptop and then after about two years of playing games on my laptop I built myself a gaming PC it has a core i5 and I just recently got a GTX 1060 but the point is it's just go play games that you don't generally play on consoles and there's a lot of them that are you there free are not too expensive
Switched to pc 13 years ago, on my 3rd rig now new build this year :) i7 6700k gtx 1080 and yeah i spent a few quid this time round but i get 4-5 years out of a gaming pc just upgrade the gpu, but like mush says parts do fail, ive had ssd's ram psu's and a gpu fail but shit happens, i wouldn't like to go back to console pc master race for the win !
Wait my question is so if you get a monitor, but you don't got a pc... does the monitor work or do I need a pc so it can work plz answers I am really curious
I remember when I first got into PC gaming. Holy shit that was an amazing feeling😂
Tavian Strahan I remember when I lost my virginity,it was also and amazing feeling.
im just coming up on my 1 year with my first pc its called madmax i just wanted to play madmax and pc gaming is the best investment i have made
Tavian Strahan same here i just hate myselfe for getting a pre build system but hopefully ill get a new pc that i will build myselfe (i7 6700k and a 1070 or a 1080)
TDG - Gaming channel its sooooooo worth it (do not buy a pre built and reshearch the components well)
TDG - Gaming channel its ok if you are ok with shitty cable managment and you might not be able to upgrade it or atleast I really can't cause the lay out on my pre built pc is weird and you could get a candy bar and some coke with the 5£
saving up for a decent pc is such an agonizing pain ;-; problems of being broke af
Same here, its tough when u don't have a career like me (senior highschooler) so I can only work occasionally on weekends when something shows up :v
My problem was wanting it to look really really nice, but realizing that I needed several hundred extra dollars for half of what I wanted for that.
PC gaming has taught me an extremely valuable lesson;
if a machine is making a loud grinding noise, don't panic but do something really fucking quickly.
Pixelon forst day i got my new pc i was playing cs and i heard that noise... my cpu cooler fell of :D :D fell ontop of my gpu.
Rudy kfly ripppp
Pixelon i just winged it and put it back on...
Lmao nice
Shadow Kin no offense but you sir are a dumbass
I remeber watching these back when I was a peasant. My ascension was well worth it.
(edit) For anyone wondering, the PC gamming community is a very friendly and welcoming group. We hate console arrogance, not necessarily the consoles themselves.
TheTyphoon365 SAME
Welcome brother.
Haha me too
TheTyphoon365 well, uh, I haven't gotten into a really good PC yet so PEASANTS MASTER RACE
that's me right now xD, im waiting for my parts to be shipped (i bought a gtx 1080 ftw, i5 6600)
hes talking abaut 1080p 60fps i wish i had 720p 30 fps
Fox Games then get new parts
Lmao same
Mad and Major Gaming wish i had the money
Mad and Major Gaming not everyone has the money
Ludwig The Lizard which i dont get. if youll have the time to play on pc, put in extra time at work or do a few extra odd jobs to be able to buy a decent entry level pc (you can achive 1080p 60fps for
One of the reasons im switching to pc is being able to mod
me too, also so i don't have to go to random places to render the other side and look down to get a solid 30 fps
Me to
Same here
Bruhh
Why am I watching this I already have a beast pc! Pcmasterrace!!
you also probably have no life
Guy Guy Says the kid who's assuming he has no life! Lmao kid, come with facts, otherwise keep your mouth shut. Thanks1
TaKeAPiLLBro what is life?
its the master race mentality which imo is one of the worst things about pc gaming
Michel Hanson Just tell her to fuck off.
Michel Hanson don't they have computers or laptops?
Reece Spicer
LOL and get thrown out of the house, live on the streets, sounds like fun.
I literally just got into PC gaming and it's amazing.
Samir Raza im saving up for one but how much is it gonna cost?
dumb fuck I suggest get the 169$ ryzen 5, get a sub 200 dollar Rx 470 or 480 and 8gb of ram probably 50$, 120gb ssd and a 1tb HDD around 100, a 50$ case, and a 70 dollar Mobo. So around 600 or 700
Samir Raza ok tnx for the info and what games sould i get first?
I'd say overwatch, CSGO, rocket league, or battlefield, if u want multiplayer. For solid single player go for farcry 3, farcry primal, doom, or metal gear solid 5. For racing u can get Forza Motorsport Apex off the windows store for free!!!
a good pc will cost upwards of $500+
blizzard is the pc exclusive king
Except for Overwatch is in consoles aswell. Thats like their only game thats on consoles.
+top legend Diablo 3 is on consoles too actually.
overwatch maybe?
In what world do you live in in which Starcraft is on console.....unless you're talking about Starcraft 64 which i doubt you are
o...sorry didnt fully comprehend your comment xD
I feel like you're more down to earth than other RUclipsrs. I love guys like Linus and Jay but it feels like this has become such a job for them that games have become benchmarks rather than something to play. But you have managed to remain a gamer and makes you more relatable
i just got an alienware x51 for free and im pretty excited. it may not be the best pc but hey its free
How did u got it for free tho lol
Buy Hitachi
i have WD hdds, samsung ssd, and crucial ssd, and haven't failed yet.
my psu is from corsairs of course
Dregs hell my psu has a 5 year warrenty and by that point i might consider upgrading for something that can support another 1070 in sli
TheGreatUtopiaCat ima upgrade my 750W (my psu only has 450w) to a full modular psu instead of semi-modular.
When a console fails, there isn't much you can do but call and complain
well most people arent as unlucky as you with their consoles
Rancy809 good shit
Ok cool
Rancy809 thank you for you're life story
Almost everyday a new video.
Dude, your output is amazing. I just want to say thanks! Great chanel! keep it up!
I missed this videos.
Does anybody else know which bullet barry is??
mongoosenoose juice he's awesome
best RUclipsr ever. i love bullet barry
yes
I watch bullet barry and cultofmush
mongoosenoose juice barry is expoding lateley huh? Seems nice, he's a really good guy with a really good voice
I remember when you were at 60k subs. You've come a long way man! All of your videos have helped me get into pc gaming well informed
Has anyone ever heard of owning a PC and a console? Why does it always have to be PC vs console? I have both and I enjoy playing both.
Been console all my life recently switched to PC primarily about 2 months ago and I love it!!!!
Cult u need to make a steam group
TechMonkey yea
TechMonkey the cult of cult
The Cult of PcGaming
is that his group or just a idea of a name
TechMonkey just an idea
Fix it rather quickly? "12 hours"........ I've never had an issue with my pc that some swift googling didn't give me the solution to.
But just because a lot of people do it, doesn't mean that you _have_ to.
a 970 is a very competent 1440p gpu. i run a gtx 780 and do just fine.
im struggling to hit 144fps on my fx 8350 1070 cause of my cpu bottleneck and that my damn cpu wont freaking OC for shit
Josh Munoz what are you talking about lol that cpu can get up to 4.6-4.8 easy
Yea must of got fucked mine wont go up without crashing might be a motherboard problem tho d:
Josh Munoz what mobo are you using? also what voltage and at what multiplier are you trying it out?
if the mobo cant output 140W+ it's gonna crash.
him mentioning u will deal with pc hardware issues kind of often legitimately changed my mind on getting a pc. Had my ps4 for years now, has never caused me an issue.
#1 thing to know, what date the seasonal sales are on xd.
lol better if you don't, your wallet won't suffer😭
Obitrek 1 Hmm but all those games. That reminds me time to empty the wallet on steam cards almost winter!
lol got 32 games last sale for 130$👌
I just built my first PC last night. I've moved up into the ranks and man i feel so proud of myself.
Rust is a fucking great pc exclusive
Rust WAS a great PC exclusive. 1000 hours later and it's just a grind and waste of time. No skill anymore, the community has just been taken over by 10 year olds that spend hundreds of bucks on skins
Getting my first gaming pc for Christmas. Finally joining the master race. Yay
Btw mount and blade isn't an exclusive anymore.
I'm getting all my parts delivered in two days! I'm so hyped and I've been waiting for 6+ months
What build you got ?
Yo mush, what do you think of the Nintendo switch? I know Nintendo isn't really a thing you talk about on the channel, but it looks pretty HYPE! its got a SH*t load of third party supporters like Capcom, Bethesda, Square Enix, Activision, Ubisoft and MANY MORE.
Wait...3rd party support??? Finally?
Javon Jackson yep, skyrim enhanced edition was shown running on it on the go. :)
Clorox Bleach not to be a negative Nancy because I'm actually digging the switch but I don't think a portable system will have the raw power to play Skyrim enhanced (or at least not that well) and even if it could it'd probably be expensive as hell to purchase
REDEAGLEGAMING rumors are saying at least $300. Also Skyrim will probably run at 30fps when portable but 60 when in the dock.
Well, even if it runs it 60fps, it'll probably won't be amazing graphical settings.
i see all these comments saying "I don't have friends" If you guys are serious then that means you only have 2 reasons why you don't want to switch over
1) you like to play at 30 fps
3) you don't want to waste $$$
Finding good pc games is like mining for diamonds and gold.
yeah... if you search for them in a pigsty
facial supremacy nope i think its easy
really? For me it's as easy as typing this very comment.
facial supremacy so easy as fuck
Zxx V2 damn I know right so easy as fuck.
Very relatable, I just got into PC gaming ( I7 4790k-GTX 1070-16gb-wind 10) and I ran into a shit tone of problems which I'm still trying to overcome. I was pretty sad about it at first but I'm still very much excited to play on PC.
Yesterday I built my first pc.
I am following you more than 2years.
Now, these scary stuff made me disappointed.
Just wish me best of luck
Vasa Sasa don't get disappointed man. If ever you run into problems, the pc master race community can be a real boon. Just don't go into new stuff without any knowledge about it. (overclocking, downloading from any unofficial sources, etc) and you'll be fine.
PC as a platform requires some research but it's not rocket science. Also, the community would be more than happy to help.
@@ianvillie3262 how do i like..turn off and on pc properly lol
I like it that with PC if you don't want to splash out on a GPU every 2 years you can just drop down from Ultra to High or even Medium to keep that 1080p60 consistency. The difference between High and Ultra is often hardly noticeable, but can take a big load off the GPU.
Hi I'm currently a PS4 peasant I really love games like Day z but there not on PS4.
I want to get a good cheap pc that can run these sort of games
Any recommendations
I BET THIS IS NOT TAKEN What os your price range. I'm building a custom PC for $320 tell me ur budget and I will make a pcpartpicker for u
K9 I got a £1200-£1300 budget I want to run sims 4, bf1 GTA 5 etc any help
Ghost777 If you need any help DM me on Twitter @K9_Creates (PS my PC is now like a $450 PC oops lol...)
Adding to point 3. The thing I like about performance on PC is if you want to maintain that solid 1080p/1440p 60fps you can always turn down several graphics settings.
I have a pretty good I5 CPU, but an old Asus Geforce GTX 660. Even if I turn my settings down to med or low, it looks better than console and makes that solid framerate on almost all the newest games
with the gtx1070 you will be good for at least 5 years ,,, , i mean a fucking I3 can ru witcher 3 and BF1 on high more than 60 FPS so what the fuck ?
and i am talking about of everything on fucking ULTRA if you put the things on high or medium you will be good for a looooong time
There are on youtube benchmarks with the I3 running FUCKING EVERYTHING including the most demanding games like witcher 3
carlos sanchez i3 is a CPU, the 1070 is a GPU you can't compare them.
carlos sanchez 144fps Ultra for lyfe! :-)
Sean Ayuso I
Thank you for making this video I am trying to get into pc gaming and this really helped.
Yes, that is my point old graphics cards only have 2-3gb of Vram and know 4 is the norm, so games use more and consequently they look a bit worse, if you don't have enough amount.
coolpietpizza You have to find what uses the most vrm and make compromises. I have the same issue with GTA v on my 960 2g.
Yeah I'll probably upgrade to a 1060 or 1070 anyway lol.
i just got into pc gaming, i used to be a console peasant, i loved xbox one the most then i really saw pc gaming for what it was, and all the benifits that came with it. so i saved for a year or so, and bought myself a decent gaming pc and a gaming keyboard and mouse a nice monitor, a desk, a chair etc. it totaled out around 1000 dollars. which is not that bad compared to thats how much some people pay for just their pc. and the money was worth it. my i3 6100 and gtx 750ti handles game just fine and i will never go back to being a peasant. such glory
I'm getting into PC just to play Dayz
Dayz is a glitchy mess and it is full of 13 year old edgelords that will brutality slaughter you for no reason.
Speedez Crack Dayz wasn't that fun I returned it. So what games should I buy for my PC. I'll pretty much try anything
Try to get gta 5 or rocket league. They are pretty good games.
Speedez Crack alright thank you
no.2 is a pain. ive been pc gaming for about 4 months now and ive had to deal with; driver issues, connection issues, performance issues and a load of other minor problems like crashes and peripherals disconnecting. It isn't too much to fix but just annoying though. Still worth playing pc :)
Kerenzo What PC did you buy?
I first built a $800 build in 2013, and now I finally upgraded to around a $1200-1400 build. I didn't necessarily need to upgrade, but performance wise, my 1070 easily gets 144fps in Gears. I should be good for at least 4 years, IMO.
Rags!!! Mate!!! Come here bro!!! This guy needs your love.
MB: Asus Z170 deluxe
Processor: Intel i7 6700K / Skylake
Ram: Trident G-Skills / Z-series: 3200MHZ
Storage: WD 2TB Mechanical Hard drive/7200rpm
Samsung Evo v2. SSD/M.2: 500GB
PNY SSD: 240GB
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW / NVIDIA
OS: Windows 10/ 64 bits Direct X12
I remember when I got the original Bioshock for next to nothing and audio didn't work AT ALL. I trudged through multiple pages of discussions on Steam before I found out that you had to mess with some settings and play it in compatibility mode. Thankfully they released a new version and I got it for free which was excellent. Honestly that feels like it's often the case where things work out one way or another if you take the time to tackle it or sometimes just incidentally.
Just started getting in to pc gaming from Xbox. Thanks for the good tips :) subbed
I have a question that probably anyone can answer but do you need a pc if u have a 240hz moniter? Please anyone answer
ive had some issues, but i solved them all super fast.. i don't see it as an issue, just a learning experience.
You got a like the second you mentioned uncharted 4😍, IMO my favourite game
Waiting for Christmas! :3
I saved up for two years but I finally got all the supplies and built my PC!
"Your performance will start dwindling and dwindling" - you speak to my soul as a gtx 960 owner.
Interrobang I’m still rocking a gtx 960 now lol
I'm just starting pc is a i7 7700k and 16 gb ram ddr4, 1080ti nivida gee force graphics card 2 23" monitors, liquid cooler master and Samsung ssd
Cult I love you man keep it up bro
i just switched to pc at the very beginning of this year. i would recommend it for enthusiastic gamers. Some people just want to power up a system and controller and play their game. They might be disappointed with having to adjust and tweak games and system settings. i myself dont mind and the performance on PCs compared to console is worth it. Also games tend to be cheaper on PC including last gen games that can be upscaled to look amazing.
What's that game he was playing first looks so freaking sick
I'm just getting into pc gaming, thoughts on my specs?:

hey love your vids// you are awesome and have inspired me to switch to pc // idk if you read the comments
This was so so helpful to know, thanks!
I’ve been a console gamer since I was 6, I’m now 14, I want to get into pc, but it’s so hard to know what’s good and what’s bad
love your vids mush never let me down
nice video love it 5 stars very helpful would watch again
Just got my PC working and the best part about PC gaming is
Steam sales
Im waiting for the next steam sale to come
Console generations are 10 years and they just work. PC is better but damn It can get expensive real quick but it's worth it.
I can't wait to play hell raid Idk if it's a pc exclusive but I know it looks sick "also you forgot many of the vr games like onward"
Why not make the keyboard more comfortable? On console controls, you get a controller that morphs to your hands. After all, it's how gaming started(NES). On pc, the mouse I like, accurate, comfortable, simple. Keyboard, Do I NEED 20 fingers?!?
I just started to play CK2 and StarCraft II
4 years of PC gaming, nothing have ever failed. The only thing that's failed me was my PS3's HDD
I feel like the whole upgrading PC parts is still better than buying a new console every 5 years because with the consoles you have to drop $400+ for the entire console while with PC you can just upgrade the individual parts that you want to be replaced. Any thoughts?
I getting a gaming pc with rainbow light up mice and keyboard with the newest posers MAN I AM SOOO HAPPY😀
my advice in PC gaming is to just start use your laptop with the Intel HD graphics and play some games so you're not spending that much money to get into a system that you don't even know if you're going to like I started out like this about 3 years ago my first game was TF2 then I started playing rust and I went on from there most of my PC Library nowadays are still the games that I bought back once I was playing on the laptop and then after about two years of playing games on my laptop I built myself a gaming PC it has a core i5 and I just recently got a GTX 1060 but the point is it's just go play games that you don't generally play on consoles and there's a lot of them that are you there free are not too expensive
Star citizen is completely free to play till the end of October. Grab it from the official website.
Four to six months???? Damn that is just rare. Never had a single hardware issue in two years. That sucks mush.
