I've hit a point with Ren where I'm literally watching every reaction video because I'm so blown away by him I find enjoyment from seeing other people do this. Your reaction video is one of those ones that stand out to me. You appreciated everything I did. You go back and re-do bits to properly hear them. A lot of the reactions have been huge let-downs but this was absolutely not. He's utter gold though ain't he? Properly born to be doing what he's doing.

I've been stuck in the ren rabbit hole since I found violets tale. Even though I listen mostly to obscure punk rock I love everything this man does. His rap skills, guitar skills, acting skills, and lyrical poetry have drawn me in like few artists have in the last two decades. Even have me appreciating and listening to other rappers in the underground RUclips scene.
Watching this was like watching a sportscaster breaking down a run play in a football game. this was fantastic. Also, the fact that you recognized Django Reinhardt, the jazz player known for his two finger style on jazz guitar, is insane. Like watching a DJ pull the most obscure record out of the crate!
When I saw Hi Ren I wondered if he was a Django fan just because he had such wide influences and....well, Django.

Think you may appreciate Ren - Losing It (Fischer Retake) this is another rap song but over a more dance based beat so technically very difficult, he demonstrates many flows and unique style as well as great musical production skills

Yeah, I asked for this one at same time as The Hunger. IT's a great track, and I think if Knox was impressed by his flow and cadence changes in this he would love Losing It.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how fast Knox caught most of the bars Ren was throwing rapid fire on the first take? It took me like 5-6 times just to catch half of that T scheme he threw in the middle.

So dope how Ren has just taken over RUclips really! I was begging reactors to check him out a few months ago I just never had the money to donate a request for it! But I guess I didnt need to cause great talent will get noticed eventually! I wish all the success in the world for that man! I am 52, know nothing about rap, but I know I like this. Thank you for such an interesting reaction, I genuinely learnt something that helped me understand, from your well explained dissection of what I feel is a genuine piece of art in every respect, the skill, the message delivered, the musical references. Ren seems to have the power to speak to such a wide audience across genres. This is what rap should be and not about buying big wheels and jewellery.

I hope you are encouraged to spend some time looking more into hip-hop. There is a great book called "Can't Stop, Won't Stop - A History of the Hip-Hop Generation". You should give that a read, and listen to the music they reference as you go along.
The pain in the brain line could also be from the Lyme disease the pain increases as it's left untreated and can cause severe migraines.

Thank you for the reaction. I haven't really been a huge rap fan in my life but I like all music. I just find that if I can't understand the lyrics I can't really connect to the songs and I zone out but that's probably because I don't understand the technical skill involved. I really do actually enjoy the Ren tracks though. I find his approach quite original and exciting and I like the way he switches the tempo and his performance skills. It's all utterly captivating and surprising. I honestly don't think there has ever been another artist that can act, sing, rap and create somany different types of music to the standard he does. If there is someone please let me know but I'm 43 and I'm just trying to think if I remember anyone as multi talented as Ren in all areas of music and I can't think of anyone. Hes pretty amazing. He made me like rap!
