This is the moment when you realize how difficult it will be for you to explain to your boss how you got late to work
Boss, I know you wouldn't believe it......I swear on my mother's grave, the one that died last week.
Yeah there were some fighter jets blocking the road lmao
Cause you don't have any brains to pull out your phone. Probably sitting clueless as everyone pulls out theirs.
Just show the boss the video, since almost everyone has a cellphone.

In my opinion, the A-10 is the most badass plane we have. It just looks angry. It is the HULK of warbirds.
Whoever made this video did a great job keeping focus and zoom. Kudos.
Yep, the best tools for attacking ground enemies
F22 also looks great
@@rsrs3630 Comparing apples to oranges.
In “Red Storm Rising”, Clancy called them Devil’s Crosses. If you’re in an enemy tank and you see that coming, prayer is about all the time you have left to do.
@Jack Lambert A fuckin' dumbass comment. People are looking at planes, marveling at their design and construction, and here you pop up out of the cesspool of your own fecal matter with an outdated and proven falsehood. Nice goin', Sparky!
The cops at the road block should have had a sign saying:
'Today the speed limit is enforced using A-10 Warthogs'
"Yo Greg watch your spe".... *BWAHHH*
So that's what it means when they say "speed enforced by aircraft"
Crew a10a for 3 years in RAF Bentwaters.......love that bird
Here in Colorado the state patrol flies small aircraft over stretch’s of road randomly to enforce speed limit. It works with a special stop watch and 2 specially painted lines. The plane radios down to a patrol car waiting below when it finds a speeder. If your interested look up behind the wings Colorado state patrol on RUclips.
They needed to block the road so cars won't interfere with the A-10 landings. It would crush the roof or the car will get tossed around. Did you see those barriers. They were busted up pretty bad.
A show of love and support for our Estonian brothers. 🇪🇪 🇺🇸
As a resident of Maryland, we are quite proud of the 175th and the success of their deployments. Their training routes take them over my house. Love those turbofans.
All I get to hear is every plane manufactured by Boeing.
I remember in Aviano Italy where there is US Airbase, this sound and is totally different from the other plane. ❤️🇮🇹👍
Thanks!
Those are the same basic turbofans in a Canadair Challenger corporate aircraft and the Canadair Regional Jets.
In the Challengers, the engines are called GE CF 34s. In the A10, the engines are called GE TF 34s. Same sound.
Great training exercise captured with a steady hand! Without any musical editing, but simply using the real McCoy! Thumbs up!
Something to be very proud off, our British and American Troops thumbs up 👍🇬🇧
McCoy, nitwit
Thank you cameraperson, no noises.

I was watching one of these perform at the dekalb Taylor air show years ago from my parents home about three miles from the airport. When the pilot finished his show he flew East towards us and turned north right over our house at a very slow speed. He was so close I could see the name on his helmet as he waved to us. I couldn’t believe how slow that plane can fly. Soooo coooool
I served at Myrtle Beach AFB for 3 years with the A10's, and Davis Monthan AFB for 5 years with the A10's. My heart fills with pride watching them.
Thanks 😁💪🏼🤠.
If I could own one plane it would be the A-10 Thunderbolt. I love everything about it. high payload capacity, Extreme durability, high manuevarability, long linger time, range and speed relative to its straight wing design and its focus on pilot protection. It Functionality and thoughtfulness in design brings out a different beauty appreciation for me. If would be an amazing transport plane given the right modifications. The Milleneum Falcon of our time.
In "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy, it's even given a maritime strike mission (but with flares only, as a "warning") against a Russian fleet which it performs super well.
I miss this aircraft flying over my works, used to be based at R.A.F. bentwaters in England until they closed it, we were in an old farm building in the middle of open countryside and they used to do low level high speed runs right over our works, such a distinctive sound. Miss them
The A10 will never win any beauty contests but she always will make up for it in pure class.
Oh man. Major Operation Flashpoint nostalgia. The A-10 Warthog/Thunderbolt, the MH-60 Blackhawk, and the CH-47 Chinook are among the most beautiful and combat effective airframes ever designed.
A-10s landing on the road, Great video! Thanks for posting. Estonia is really a pretty place.
Love, love, love the A-10. God bless all of you in uniform!
AMEN.
Marvelous well filmed thank you for sharing i didnt even realise the soldiers were there shows how good they are blessings xc
Ahhhhhhh. The plane that puts the fear into anyone on the ground. One of my favorites and such a beauty!
Love that unmistakable sound of the A-10
Not only the sound but the look. They’re recognizable from a distance. I had a cousin fly them while he was in Iraq. Told me they’re called Warthogs for a reason.
Viva Estonia! Nice Warthog airshow on that highway. Cheers from New York!
Great sound editing when the music built up and a similar note carried right into the A10-Warthog’s engine howling on the low approach into a climb. Really cool even just seeing the A10-Warthog flying. Those jet engines sound awesome!!!
Absolutely stunning I'd love an A10 parked outside my home, beautiful aircraft and sounds awesome.
Epic, lucky people to see that. Great video, no shaking, original sound(no music) Thanks for sharing!

Had the privilege to work with these fine people at their home base in Maryland, God's Speed to all and thank you for your service !
When I was in west Germany in 1983 serving as a company medic in the Army I saw these wonderful life saving aircraft fly vertically between 2 pine trees 30 ft apart!!!!! Amazing!!!! DONT ever decommission these please Pentagon. Thanks you pilots and support crews of these wonderful planes that help defend our freedom!!!!
The survivability of the Warthog is higher than any modern plane that uses computers, because of it's fly by wire concept and in 2014 when Secretary James was waxing lyrical about F35's and B2 bombers taking over the A10's role of close ground support Senator John McCain literally told her not to insult his intelligence, because they are easier to shoot down than the A10, so far we will have the A10 until the next review in 2026, but we have another problem in that Trump pulled us out of the Open Skies Project and Ordered the scrapping of the last two planes capable of doing the job right at the end of his Presidency and there's no budget or plans to replace them making us blind to what the Russians are doing when it comes to Troop movements and the possibility of them attacking our Allies in Europe, including the Drone Attacks in the Ukraine on Ammunition Dumps that have suddenly been exploding for no apparent reason, well other then the Russian Drone Strikes..
@@kevnwarriner8819 that’s just not true. They are survivable in the sense that they are physically durable compared to most aircraft and have redundancies, not in the sense that they can handle suppressing and surviving modern anti-air defense systems from a near peer adversary. The F-35 and similar platforms are going to be far more survivable basically by default in those kinds of environments, especially when used in concert with the general suite of modern AA suppression tactics and systems.
Handling AK 47 rounds and RPG’s is just not the same thing as dealing with modern SAM’s and MANPAD’s. Even during the Cold War the expectation was that the A-10s would suffer heavy losses fighting against tanks, and that’s literally what the plane was designed for. The sort of mythology that has popped up around it largely comes from the fact that the A-10 has been fighting in fairly low threat environments against technologically inferior enemies for the near entirety of its existence.
The A-10 is absolutely a monster under those specific circumstances, but there are valid questions about whether that’s worth its price tag. The military is looking at the reality of what war with Russia or China would mean, and that is why the A-10 has come under such intense scrutiny. Longer range weapons are being developed for it, so I guess we’ll have to see how this all plays out.
A-10's give me goosebumps. Amazing machinery, firepower, and sound.
There's a balm for that.
In Army we always called it the "Tank in the sky." Loved working with the pilots for A. S.
I regularly frequent the area around Lee ANG base/municipal, and every once in a while an A-10 will fly in or out. Beautiful sight.
I live beside a base and the sights are incredible some days. The fighter jets rattle my windows and my dog barks at the helicopters lol. By the time you hear the jets they are almost out of sight.
Gravity,
You would have loved it then, if you worked in North Las Vegas, Nevada, where I had an auto repair shop. It was just about three blocks from the take-off and landing area of Nellis Air Force Base. The best times were during Green and Red Flag Maneuvers, you could hardly think straight when they were taking off and landing, I loved it myself.
@@BobbyTucker My grandparents used to live in Virginia Beach and did a lot of shopping and stuff near Oceana. I can conquer, trying to grocery shop whilst the shelves are rattling is quite the experience.

Like, this is really cool, but the best thing is that the general public are allowed to watch and/or video from a safe distance.
Awesome control of the A-10s displayed by the pilots, & what a cool job, being paid to fly, travel the world & do that stuff like that on occasion (plus the bang-bang things too)
10/10 rating from me, very rare for me to "like" a YT video but got it.
And to think they wanted to ditch the A10s! Now they are making new wings for some of them. Whew!
@Marten Krueger Trump and his advisors love the A10. Yes, we are keeping them. July 2019- "By the way, the Warthog right behind me is not so bad," Trump said. "I've got more people asking us to keep the Warthog. They say it's sort of running out, but we're fixing up - you know, we're going to keep them as long as we can."
Marten Krueger - Not to worry. That was long time ago that I read they were thinking about ditching the A10s. My memory could be wrong, but I think they said it was during Obumer’s presidency, but I could be wrong on the timing. Now they are changing the wings on about 100 of the A-10s, so they should be good for years to come.
Marilyn Johnson and upgrading the avionics , No need to scrap perfectly good and functional planes

dacarter70ify that is acceptable sir. As far as close ground support, which can take a few good hits, but keeps flying back home. Pretty superior in pilot protection also. I do see your point also, apples and oranges really.

Titanium bathtub, can lose an engine and still fly home, lose 3/4 of a wing and still can fly home. One tough, badass bird

A10 such a beast of a machine. Amazed at how the troops just appeared from the brush

What a gorgeous aircraft. One of my favorites 😀👍
I think it's ugly - Warthog - but who cares as it does the job better than anything else
The A10 reminds me of one of my other favorite aircraft's from WWII, the FAU Corsair. Both built very strong and did the same job.
Yeah the a10 is ugly as fuck but God it felt so amazing when on a foot patrol and you know that thing is flying over head

One October, during leaf season, we were in Franconia Notch, walking in the back yard of the Indian Head Resort. We heard the whisper of jet engines overhead and looked up to see where they came from. There above us was an A-10, dancing through the clouds and occupying the airspace between the mountains. It didn' have the roar of an F-16, but it quietly owned the airspace overhead, like a ballerina on a stage. This alpha killer is also a thing of beauty.
I love these air crafts..A 10s..with their Distinctive sounding whistleing engines!
I’ve seen and stalked too many calling in Air Strikes and that is one Smart pilot!! I miss that stuff man😎💜💜🇺🇸
You did see he destroyed his plane, right? He fucked his ailerons and air brakes up, which is visible in the video, and I'm sure there was substantial damage to the landing gear from the ridiculous impact to the barriers on the road.
Smart pilot! LOL! Why do you think that craft was still sitting out there and all his supervisors made the trip out there to look at it? I'm not trying to be a dick, but do most people honestly not see what's going on in reality?

Be honest how many times did you think, "ah he's gonna land" followed by "wtf, again!?!?"
It's call practice and planning for the landing, this is not an airport and you want to do it safely.
@@garyroy3503: Thank you. I just deleted a post asking why he didn't land on the first approach.
Just simulating the landings. Their weight will chew the shit out of the roadbed. Only to be actually done in cases of extreme battle. Which is very unlikely now.
The earrings only go in after the airspace is dominated by rapture now and there's no cold war anymore and the raptor fly cover as they strafe. Almost certainly never going to need this skill.
Me I said wtf like 4 time
I loved doing this! As an Army ATC we used to have these missions all the time using Y landing bags
Saw this in Korea in 1974 on the Seoul-Pusan Expressway. Landed two ROKAF prop planes. At that site the road was about 8 lanes on each side. From what I heard later the road was so slick from oil, etc, from vehicles that they had a hard time landing.
The pilots who flew the A-10 "Warthog" in combat loved that aircraft! It got them in to do the job and brought them safely back home. A tough little bird!

My father used to work with the A10s when they were at England AFB 23rd Tac Fighter Wing.
Used to love watching them take off and land at the old Myrtle Beach Air Force Base
There were a bunch of A-10s based at Myrtle Beach AFB for decades. There is (or was) a static display of an A-10 on a pedestal at the base entrance. We used to watch them in small groups fly in, around and up and down the beach for hours at a time. Sadly, the base was closed down some years ago and allowed to go to seed along with the base housing for hundreds of families left to just rot away.

This is an Outstanding video! So cool and badass! They are welcome to land on our highways anytime. I found it interesting how the A-10 Pilot did a couple of go arounds before touching down, very thoughtful and professional. An airline pilot once told me it takes more guts to do a go around than it does to attempt a risky landing. 😎
Damn I love the A-10. It will always be favorite plane, bar none!
Arguably the best ground support air frame ever built.
That's why that shitty bird 35 could never replace true military power
You could make an arguable point about piston aircraft for CAS but the warthog is the single best jet engine CAS/tactical strike craft in the world. She is such a beautiful warbird, nothing else competes.
Crazy thing is that there are political dumbasses that want to replace it. All you got to do is update avionics and controls and do airframe inspections!!!!
@@RoubidouxCreekOutdoors They want to replace it because if we ever go to war with a real country with modern military they would get blown out of the sky by AA. It's great for fighting sand fleas though.
So far, there is no question. Reliability and survivability coupled with unmatched destructive power. The machine the troops want over their heads in a major fight (with the possible exception of a Spooky). We will see what the expensive and much delayed F-35 can do, but it has huge shoes to fill, which is why the A-10 was 'unretired'.

That would be so cool to have been there to watch!!!!! My dad was a retired air craft mechanic from Tinker Air Base in Okla City, they would open the base every year for people to go in and see the aircraft inside and do air shows, that was in the '50's and of course back then they had nothing like they have today.
Well done!
The Swedish Air Force has had this as a practice since the early 70's if not longer. Roadside hangars. refueling and rearming were usually sorted by enlisted servicemen and these roads were spread out over most of Sweden's road network. Turnaround time in wartime conditions usually less than 15 minutes(?).
A-10 is the favorite plane ever ! second to none ... !
Best CAS aircraft and good ole Army Aviation for ground forces support and pick up

I slowed for a turn onto another road, on the crest of a hill.
Two A10's came roaring up just to my right. they were down in a valley, so I didnt even know they were there.
They were at treetop level, which put them level with me as I was on the hill.
Scared me half to death, I almost dropped the bike as I was mid turn........!
they were doing a chase thing, one after the other!
Incredible !
i saw a couple f16s which departed and returned from NAS key west doing the same thing . always fun to watch theyve gotta do it to keep their skills up. i was in key largo when i saw them chasing eachother over the sound. ( Blackwater sound)
I live in mid-Missouri in the hill country and see them several times a week. Seems like they use my house as a way-point as they are often cornering overhead.
