There were also 4 wheeled versions the B95/105 with Royal Enfield 750 twins & these were also raced.Imagine a three wheeler with a Hyabusa!

Nice comment - for context this type of our silliness was
Part of the post war poverty industry
AND 3 wheeler cars were classed as motorbikes
and had much lower annual taxes-

I always wanted one of those cars, the only car I have ever hankered after during my 52 years using two wheels for everyday transport.

I used to have an agreement with a used car dealer friend where, any vehicle I was interested in, he’d let me take it home over a weekend and I’d wash it. Even if I didn’t buy it, he got back a super clean car and by hand washing it, I was able to find small dents, rust and any imperfections that you just don’t see normally.

Nice little car. Quite rare now. The nearest I’ve got to owning one is the rev counter! (Probably not standard fitment, and it’s now converted to an oil pressure gauge in my old Jag!)

These are raced with full-on Cooper S engines & as such are quite rapid!

Indeed! Mine has a dellOrto 40 sidedraft on a long Mangoletsi (?) manifold on MG Metro unit.

Nothing like a bug-eyed Sprite! They were (are) good looking little things, and some (the4-wheeler I think) had RE Constellation engines in them. There’s a couple of the 3-wheelers racing in VMCC events, with Hillman Imp (Coventry Climax) engines in them.

I have Imp race cars and an MG Metro engined Berkeley T60 and I have only ever seen race Berkeleys with mini installations.
I can't imagine how you'd fit an Imp unit in it....the A series BMC engine is easy as it's short enough to go in a Mini transversely, but I've never heard of an Imp unit with the gearbox under it.....the Imp motors in bike frames used the bike box with a chain drive to it.

I believe there was a three cylinder two stroke version as well.

I think Car and Driver said something about it being a dangerous shed and they were talking about the car.

Grossly under powered cars seemed to be popular in 1950s England.

I'm not sure that clearing a blocked jet and polishing the paintworks is classed as a restoration.
It appears that the high point of this show is that Henry sounds like Baldrick.

I took one of these cars as P/X against a Kawasaki 900, it was the worst car I've ever driven and I have driven ROBIN.

These motoring shows always seem to have a dick and a grafter. Cole, who does feck all, faffs about laughing at his own stupid jokes while others do the work. Wheeler Dealers has Mike Brewer swaning around pretending to be busy while Edd, Ant and Elvis did the work and don’t get me started on Tim Shaw, who I can’t even watch. Now we’ve got Drew Pritchard muscling in. He may be red hot with antiques, but gives the impression he knows nothing about cars. He buys a car on the recommendation of an expert, hands it over to a restoration company, makes ludicrous suggestions as to modifications, then his expert sells it. Drew adds nothing except his name to the show. They all follow the same template. Dick and grafter.
