In my guilds experience, it's essentially a must to run evocation + KoKo (M+) or Lucius. Mostly due to how detrimental the debuff and knockdown is from the boss. Plus, Lucius has the same seasonal skill as Scarlita and helps with the Lightbearer faction bonus.

Yeah, magic damage works better in BD because the bosses have an actual health bar. In Endless DR true damage is king because of the way it's calculated vs bosses that have an infinite health bar. :)

try alsa odie satrana koko(shielding is important on this boss) and smokey (buff and personal damage does more than other heroes with the stat buff ontop) and stay with evocation, crescent is not doing better here the def is not increasing i think
edit: should've commented after watching the entire video not just the first half
but you definitely should be running shields in any team fighting this boss, lucius will be neccessary for lightbearer (faction buffs are too important)

maybe try starshard ?
i use starshard on pushing afk stages because on how alysa spam her ultimate triggering it faster but i am not sure if it is the right play here

It's Mauler team (5 stack) when above 50% and it's lightbearer team (5 stack) when 50% or below as Vala become a true dmg dealer.
Also stop using Shakir, he is really not a good unit in any content even with heavy investment and lupine buff; his single target dmg is among the lowest.
