I believe that this is going in the right direction. But the honest truth is none of these fix the overlying issue. For a daily game like this it doesn't feel like there is anything to grind for. Like... okay I set my auto battle up and adjust the formation once or twice before deciding im stuck. Then it's just repeating the same 5 things every day. There's no special gear from a dungeon boss, no farmable material, almost 0 overarching progress except for a few summons saved up per day.
This is REALLY good feedback for the devs imho. When I think about it though I cant think of a way to make seasonal progress really feel like you are earning something without MAJOR power imbalances between long term and newer players. I think there are a lot of things that we do earn in a season that carry forward for our accounts but something feels off about how satisfying it is or isn't. I think skins and cosmetics are a great reward (along with all the essence and hero pulls) that carries forward for your account but maybe there should be more of a feeling of earning those things as you finish a season? But then you have to make sure meaningful rewards aren't too far out of reach for people that spend vs don't or are new vs veteran? I dunno, glad its their job and not mine! XD
@@joewilson2929A simple fix although would need to be properly beta tested is making something akin to permanent charms. Upgradable via in game earned currency from doing dura trials. Think of any mmo you can name and what's a core attribute to stat development? RNG grindable gear either in upgrades +1, +2, etc or "enhancements". How excited do you get when your rolling, even if you fail at least you still have a goal xD And it's fairly balanced to f2p and p2p as p2p gets more chances and more currency but f2p can still farm it and try their luck.
Overall, I'm quite unimpressed. We'll have to see how these things end up looking in the game. I'm quite worried about yellow essences. It sounds like they're not increasing top 100 income at all (and hovering around top 60 the income is pretty bad). They're just going to throw some shards at lower ranks, which will yet again enable them to say "they listened", while I have my doubts that the amounts are going to be in any way usable. And then there's fishing... I have a feeling that it'll go the way of the card game and herding - mind numbingly boring, yet unskippable. Or the rewards will be such that while technically skippable, you'll really not want to (i.e. Astral Fair).
I also wish they'd release some specifics about resources we're getting for our season progression. That would help people plan where to put their effort in.

Yes, I’ve been sitting here for almost a month just doing AFK. Everything else has been checked off.
we need more non-ranking based temporal essence rewards for EVERYONE - narrowing the gap between spenders and F2P is nice until the spenders stop spending and the game dies... this incentivizes me to spend less, not more. Give people more reason to summon - spending $$$ to summon new heroes is FUN, spending $$$ to upgrade a weapon is garbage when there are few options to earn those weapon upgrades in game
A lot of people agree about needing more essence for sure. I would love to see a shop where you can exchange hero copies for cosmetics. Maybe make a currency you get really slow but you can exchange hero copies for a bunch extra and a shop where you can buy skins, cosmetics, and skill effects/recolors? Just riffin. XD
To late for this fixes, and unfortunately we lost soo many players. Devs dont get that they killed guilds for medium Players.
@@markosekulic119 agreed. Announcing new guild features where there's pretty much one full guild on the server left is just discouraging...
Im pretty sure the day requirement for starting the season hasn't actually be removed, they just removed the need to finish the main story quest and to clear all the afk stages.
I am wondering if the hero switching feature includes Hypos/Celes, because they're technically S-Level. Imagine building a S+ hero you can get from Dream Store and then switching it with a Hypo/Celes you only have 1 copy of :D
No chance. There’d be no point in the exclusivity of stargazing. Would be awesome though.
Some people are saying Cecia wouldn’t be an option to swap. They say it’s only the new heroes you can swap?
I also understood that it only involved new season heroes. So Soren for Ulmus or Alsa for Ludovic.

No you do not have to re roll. You can if you want I guess? You are gonna be behind a bit but it shouldnt matter much if at all long term. Like should barely matter. Like maybe you missed 1 10 pull of diamonds?
