I think Tamiya should re- release some of there late 1970’s. Early 80’s RC models like the blazing blazer. / ford ranger and so on
There was only about 4 from the late 70's and most have been rere. The blazer and ranger won't get rere unless Tamiya pay for licensing, which is why the sand scorcher, rough rider and superchamp have all been done in the last couple of years. Even the blackfoot lost it's ranger body with ford embossed on it along with the ford decals.
Another vote for Blazing Blazer, maybe Tamiya could de-badge/re-name to get around licensing. It would be an expensive kit though, guessing £400 at least.
@@wintersdawn Blazer would be 600 at minimum as it uses the same 3 speed gearbox and chassis as the Toyota Hilux.
Kadett, Citroen, GTR, NSX, Celica, TRF421...all a wow from me!
For the XM-01 rally chassis with 3 lengths of wheelbase available (S,M &L), S:210mm, M:225mm, L: 239mm, A 959 body would work perfectly for the short wheelbase…

Definitely the ta03 Mobil NSX was a stunner! I foolishly used mine as a racer body.....it didn't last.....

Yeah I seem to remember there were rumours of the Falcon ,and Porsche 959 being re released. Maybe they're still on the way. Or possibly it was only wishful thinking . I'd like to see them be rereleased. And the astute also. Gavin I'm definitely interested in the Hot Shot 2. It's about time Tamiya did this right instead of the blockhead motors paint scheme.
Saw these on the socials a few hours ago. The Opel Kadet sold here in Australia as Holden Gemini and has a following. Hyped for it, the Celica, NSX and Audi.
That NSX TT-02 and the BT-01 Supra is what I have my eyes on right now
As an Aussie I love the NSX and JDM it will be a must, though I wish they had the Nissan 180SX so I could replicate my car.
For me it's the Kadett. It was th first car I drove for someone else after I got my license.
Manta Ray, Top force and the Black Metallic Clod buster are DEFINITELY what I will purchase this year. I’m actually looking forward to be able to purchase the Manta Ray again. I had two of the back in 91’. The Tamiya Manta Ray was my first kit so it has a special place in my heart.
It’s worth noting that the Manta Ray (DF-01 chassis) was the forefather of the TA-01,02 series chassis, Ff-01, buggy variations, rally cars, stadium trucks. The Top Force was midrange favorite because it contained a lot of performance parts included most would upgrade the Manta Ray withand The Top Force Evo was the “TRF” for advanced racers.

Great stuff Gavin! Was hoping for different ones but a few of these look interesting. The Citroen interests me just for the look. Guess we’ll see if anything else gets released or if that’s it.

Liking the idea of moding the ds into rally spec. The NSX definitely be a good addition.

Best drop they've done in ages, makes a change that it's not full of rere, compared to the norm of the last 3 years.
I've said before, I like hardbody but the Citroën ds made my eyebrow rise. Need to see more images.

I'll be ordering a Manta Ray it seems a rare car to get hold of for some reason not many come up. I've got the Hotshot 2 on order hopefully that arrives soon
For me personally I am looking forward to getting a Manta Ray. The price on Modelsport is interesting though £149.00.
Looking forward to the XM-01 - proper 4WD on an M-chassis, I have a body tucked away that’ll work great on that. Also pleased for the NSX, the body set will rescue an old restoration project! The Celica body was rereleased not so long ago but it’s nice to see, especially with the correct Castrol decals.

I have wait for the Hot Shot II for 10 years!!! YAY FINALLY!!! I love my Super Shot and it is better than the HS II but, there is just something about the HS II that is so cool!

Really excited about the manta ray chassis coming back, not the body the chassis I believe it shares the chassis with the dirt Thrasher which I have been wanting to do for a long time hopefully MCI and team blue Groove have the body and decals!

Actually Gavin the early TRF 400’s are reasonably priced for what they offer. I have TRF414 and TRF 415 Rheinard for couple hundred each. Great looking machines too with carbon etc. great videos as usual. Thanks
Lovely chassis and some stunning hop ups included but £900! That’s XRAY money and some right? Who is the customer at that price? I’m suspecting it’s loads less in the US and Japan but in the UK?
Love tamiya want to see another run of avante. love the touring cars, wish they would do more like the bbx new design old school looks.
The NSX looks sweet as 👌 manta ray and the opel GT/e are my faves the ds looks great. But a rally version would be better 👍

Nothing really jumped out at me, but I'm sure these releases will appeal to someone. The Opal would probably be my choice if I had to pick one.
I'm excited about the releases. I admit the the MB-01 is getting very nice bodies, even I'm not a big fan of the chassis itself. The 1998 Honda NSX body i will get that! XM-01 looks also very nice and i fancy it, but no use for one just now.
I would like to see Tamiya rerelease the 1/10th scale Falcon 2WD Buggy once again 😎

After the BBX I thought they might do another one on that chassis. I built mine recently and it is really really good. All of this feels a bit weak. I love Tamiya but not especially impressed with this they are capable of so much more.

Im a little behind due to life lol but I am super excited for re re of the manta ray!! Just ordered one at a great price of £125 (plus full ball bearings upgrade and esc) never built a 4wd and couldnt afford a top force so great compromise.

That 1st car is called a Gemini here in Australia, probably sell more here than anywhere if people know about them. Still - nothing spectacular in those releases unfortunately. We all know what we are wanting....(Falcon / Super Astute / and maybe some TRF vehicles)
I was always very impressed with Tamiya. Unfortunately, this is becoming less and less over the years. I still have an original Hotshot II, unfortunately after the news of the reissue it is no longer worth much. Of everything they are going to release now, I think I like the Opel Kadet the most.
Well, lots of nice body that we did not know (NSX, DS, Kadett); but no new rere 😮 The Hotshot 2, we know since several months, Manta Ray and Top Force were done several times. Highly disappointed 😢 Where are Astute, Avante 2001, Falcon, Super Hornet, ... and some old F1 or Group C. Well, wait and see. Not much on Kyosho's side either 😢
Any news mids from kyosho? If not its a total let down on tamiya and kyosho

I’ve got my Kyosho group, my Schumacher group, my Tamiya group, my Team Losi group and my Team Associated RC10 group. I just can’t start another lol but the carbon and blue look so nice 😊

I also like it when the driveline-type match. And also i think the tirewidth should be scale. So wider tyres in the rear on a car like a Supra or NSX....
The expensive chassis are not for me. I like the process of building. The driving is not so important to me 🙂

The thing about Kyosho keeping vehicles in production, they'd be insane to destroy the tooling so then it is only set up in production. I do cnc work, if a customer wants more of part x, I kept all the programs so all I have to do is mount the material, insert the correct bit, and run it again. I just ran off 50 pieces for 1 customer and if they come back next year for another 50, I can run em off again, no prob at all.

Def wanted a manta ray, don’t really care about anything but buggy’s, as daft as it sounds our collections wouldn’t mean half as much if we could just buy any of them at any point. You seem to get a lot of people who get very angry about it and a lot of people who defend them no matter what but it is what it is they’re conspiring to take all our money but at the same time we love it even when they break as long as we can find the parts

Totally lost with all the different chassis that are there with Tamiya now, as you say, few are related to the car they represent but that's nothing new.

Nope, typical Tamiya.. have a couple cool things, and the rest is full plastic chassis and old rereleased bodies. It’s about making profit by selling loads of hop ups to noobs, and getting attention with the new bodies etc

@@ksmith1298 Short Course race class is dying out in most places and it comes and goes with bashing on popularity. Stadium is making a come back though. The problem is anything new Tamiya produces is usually too expensive compare with other manufacturers so doesn't usually sell well
