*WARNING: Please remember to SHUT DOWN everything when you are trying to fix your Machine. As I mentioned in the video, the Machine started to move on its own and I had the Foot Pedal unplugged. Please take this WARNING seriously or you will have a needle going through your finger(s).*

I was working on a quilt, took my bobbin casing out, cleaned under it, replaced my needle and spent 2 hours trying to figure out what was causing that horrible clicking and bobbin jump. You are the only person ive seen who had help to this issue. Thank you so much, saved me $$ taking it in to get it looked at

Yours was the only video to address this problem. I was about to pull my hair out! I knew that the issue was in that area but was hesitant to mess with that spring thing too much. Hello. Thank you for the video. I fix machines often and have never come across this issue till recently. Your fix to the issue worked perfectly. I am hoping you have figured out why your machine started running on you without the pedal. It was because your machine is equipped the a start/stop button feature. It is the bottom button on your machine front. As long as that machine is plugged in, that button is functioning. Many of the newer Singers come with this function. It is nice to use the machine without a pedal such as when using the decorative stitches where you want an even speed. I use it often on my machine. When you first use it make sure that you set your speed at a lower pace until you are accustomed to not using your pedal. You did a wonderful job with your vid with the instructions the camera closeups, everything. Blessings

Hi, unfortunately, this is not a button pressed or anything. When I touch it with the screwdriver to adjust, that is when it goes wacko. Remember, I wasn't able to shut it down at all.
*NOTE:* I wish it was the button. At least I am able to let the button go. 😁😆😅🤣😂

Great video thanks. My bobbin case started rattling and vibrating whenever it started stitching on a Brother machine I'd had for a few months, the stitching was bunching and tangling straight away. The only slight damage I could find on the bobbin case was a very, very small scratch on the underside. Anyway I changed out the bobbin case for another and it fixed it. It looks like this thing is very sensitive to any slight damage.

Thank you 🙏 Little hint, if you remove needle place fabric under foot, I’ve lost a needle before and had to take whole darn machine apart. 🙂

Thank you ever so much for this video and information. I, too, was having this same problem and really do not know when it all started, but has been getting worse as time progressed. I found the tension spring was nearly to the right side, so no tension on the bobbin thread at all! Go figure! Thanks again for your invaluable help, especially on this particular machine! That tiny metal plate movable springy thingy,
the bobbin stopper from going round,
    to the right. 👉💥
    Adjusted with tiny
    flat head screw driver.
Must have gotten out of shape, aliengment when I took out the ring
    for cleaning.
    straightened up
    the stitch.
    It was running together, continously
    like one stitch.
So unproffesional looking. Undefined stitch, horrid. Long skinny strand
    Instead of thick
    well defined
    individual stitch.
    Hours trying to find
    Frustrating. 😡.
    ------------
    I have seen vids
    machine demonstrations
    with this stitch.
    They say its just
    the machine.
    Yeah
    Operator technik
    machine adjustment.
    -------------
    That little thingymajig
    and tiny
    bobbin tighten.
    Thank you so much
    The stitch is "perfect".

Ok I fixed it took 2 seconds, I know I was on the right track when you mentioned tread bunching up there. So far I purchased 3 new bobbin cases (that is what we call them here) No I have spares. Lots of babbling going on that video, but I am very happy with the end result.

This is close to solving my problem. The little lip that sticks out of the plastic case that holds the bobbin and touches that small metal tensioner is pressing too hard against the tensioner so the string can’t pass by it. It’s too close to the tensioner rather than the tensioner being the issue. This helps though thanks.

Hello Jordan. I came across your video by searching for my problem. So...i have a SC220(SINGER). My problem is...that the threat under it stuck when i m sewing and it tangles and stuck my fabric or into that teeth under or in all that threat that tangle under in there.....Sometimes the threat under the fabric remains loose while sewing so the reverse of what i sew i can see it🙄And the last issue...that little "knot" of the what you called case(the black case i. Which u ll put the bobbin ) that lil knot aint hit that metal "pedal" like.....but it is a bit more front side and which makes go and stop after the small pedal,it stops into that piece of metal right next to it.I tried to put it in place like how i see but...holy crap isnt "catching " the place.I am beginner, yhis is also my first sewing machine and i really dont know much about.....

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  Год назад

Ok try this..... Take the thread-bobbin out and clean everything, then, put it back and see. Also, your Thread Tensioner (On Top with Dial Number) may be too tight. Dial it back to 0 or 1
      *NOTE:*
      1. When the Bottom Thread too loose or tangle = Top Dial Tensioner or Dirty or Thread is caught due to fabric.
      2. When Top Thread not normal = Bottom Tensioner or Bobbin Holder Tensioner

When you’re threading your machine, you have to put the foot in the up position. That allows for a smooth threading without the tension you’re feeling. Thanks for helping with the bobbin casing. Mine has been making a lot of noise. Now I know why🤓

This is my exact problem. rattle rattle rattle. Then sometimes it starts getting bunched up, because my thread came out of the slot. Since I owned the machine and very annoying..
