And his playoff record is amazing. I expect to see the white Sox go to the world series and he will be the top reason why. It's why larosa got him. He knows what Lynn can do for a team.

But yeah after that we had like a solid 10 minute conversation about baseball and he said the next time Lance Lynn was pitching he wanted to watch. So all in all great job growing the game!

Lance Lynn is a beast Has been since he first came up in 2011 Been watching him since then He really started challenging people with his fastball like that in 2013. He will mix in a curve and a cutter then go right back to that 4 seam fastball and blow you away with it at 94-98 mph because of the pitch slot and the arm angle as well as the speed compared to thr other pitches. Its a sneaky fast pitch that he hides better than most pitchers. Next thing the batter knows they are swinging at air cause even when they are looking for it its hard to catch up to. Was sad to see Lynn leave Stl.

Lynns control is what amazes me. Same pitch for strike one and two except the second pitch is just up and away or up and in. How hard is it to gage the difference when it is coming in at 95+. Plus that fast ball is on a string and doesnt dip AT ALL. crazy pitch control. Love to watch it.
Lance Lynn dominates a great fastball hitter because he has one of the best fastballs in baseball. And that is because he can move a fastball in all directions with alot of movement in all directions. His cutter , 2 seam, 4 seam combo is one of the best, you never know which direction its going to move, not to mention he wraps his wrist around the ball nicely and makes it hard to pick up the spin out of his hand, and he throws across his body slightly, so all of that combined, the movement with the angles, and deception is why he has been one of the better horses in baseball for quite a few years now. He has had one hell of an impressive major league career... and he spins the baseball really well, and hes a big guy, pretty good extension toward home plate and hes right on top of the hitter.. but that across the body mechanics is very hard on righties.
Fun fact, Lance Lynn was a hell of a hitter in high school. He finished with 47 home runs in high school. I saw him hit a home run in the semi state that landed on a church roof that stands 100 plus feet behind the wall in left field.
Righty on righty, can hit up and in with ease because of the good fastball command, it kinda makes sense. Trout has a bit of a hole in his swing up and in, and for the most part will just give that to pitchers who paint it. Really smart pitching by lynn in that final AB. And that is because he can move a fastball in all directions with alot of movement in all directions. His cutter , 2 seam, 4 seam combo is one of the best, you never know which direction its going to move, not to mention he wraps his wrist around the ball nicely and makes it hard to pick up the spin out of his hand, and he throws across his body slightly, so all of that combined, the movement with the angles, and deception is why he has been one of the better horses in baseball for quite a few years now. He has had one hell of an impressive major league career... and he spins the baseball really well, and hes a big guy, pretty good extension toward home plate and hes right on top of the hitter.. but that across the body mechanics is very hard on righties.
And now I'm trying to think if he is back with his original manager. LaRussa.. I think Lynn is almost that old...

Fun fact, Lance Lynn was a hell of a hitter in high school. He finished with 47 home runs in high school. I saw him hit a home run in the semi state that landed on a church roof that stands 100 plus feet behind the wall in left field.
Righty on righty, can hit up and in with ease because of the good fastball command, it kinda makes sense. Trout has a bit of a hole in his swing up and in, and for the most part will just give that to pitchers who paint it. Really smart pitching by lynn in that final AB. Command over your pitches like that, especially at high velo is a real money maker. Cool breakdown!
