Teammates will keep hush hush about it. Baseball players are very superstitious and you don’t wanna be that guy. I think Ethan Katz (pitching coach) came up too him at one point and probably told him to keep it up and stay focused. That’s the only person I saw talk to him. But when a pitcher goes to the dugout around the 6th inning and on with this situation most players will give him space while he paces around trying to stay in the vibe and keep his arm feeling good. Unless he comes up and talks to one of them personally.
Actually the longest breakdown ever...not complaining! Love me some more JomBoy
“No, we got it right, we’re the best. Never doubt our replay” 💀💀
Love Rodon's attitude! Refreshing!
"Someone's dog in Kentucky prolly knew too"😂
Born and raised Cubs fan here. Congrats. Respect.
3:53 “Slider in the zone to punch him” *ball no where near the zone*
Carlos seems like an amazing dude. Super chill and humble
This reminds me of when Max Scherzer lost a perfect game on the final strike when Tepera leaned into the next pitch
needless to say Washington gave that guy hell
Perez didnt lean into this one though, yet chisox fans still gave him hell for it
Being a Sox fan it’s good to see my boys in the light! That was a beautiful game and should have been perfect. I love how he took it and despite losing the perfect game right at the end and he was totally cool about it. He deserves it after all he’s been though!
Any Sox fan will tell you that we don't want Rodon here. He has no place on the Sox.
This should have been a perfect game
The fact he didn’t even try to move out the way pisses me off
No it shouldn’t, he plunked him, still amazing
@@stayhigh8kd247 he couldn’t get out of the way...
No... he hit him... lost it, no “coulda shoulda woulda’s” about it
@@A.B.421 that’s exactly what I was about to say
This was an awesome video! I can tell you the vast majority of us white Sox fans counted out Rodon especially after what happened at the end of last season. And then we saw him healthy in spring training this year and we started to believe. In two starts, he has given up a grand total of 2 hits. Absolutely awesome! Thank you for making this video. -A life long white Sox fan!
I've been waiting for this
So mad at Perez man
He didn’t even try to move😭
@@stayhigh8kd247 if u see Adam jones' tweet he says once you already put that foot down it's almost impossible to move it or raise it
If you want to see someone lean into a pitch watch the Mets vs Marlins
Blame tepera against sherzer, this one he couldnt move. He was dealing all game, and you go up expecting to hit, not expecting to avoid the ball. Ignorant comment and dumb opinion
JOMBOY for MLB Commissioner. Jomboy is my morning coffee. Thank you sir. Go Yankees!!
God damn I wish this would have been a perfect game.
Appreciate the breakdown of his throws at the start. Legit content
Reminds me of when Max Scherzer lost his perfect game because the guy leaned into it
Where is tabata nowadays? I think he only had like 6 more AB after that in his career.
Far different, since he didn't lean into it.
@@brianschaffer9220 I know but more on how you lose a perfect game cause of hitting a guy just barely
Yeah, Perez didn't lean into it at all though.
@@danielstack4158 perez started to move his foot before the ball even got their, but it was just far too late
Rodon pitched for my Alma mater (NC State), glad he's in the show now. He was a beast in college.
I was almost a little annoyed with Naylor'sr reaction to the out call. I understand the competitive nature, however you're down 8 runs in the ninth inning with perfect game going on. Also, you're a first baseman yourself and recognize the sick play.
Exactly. He was running as hard as he could, giving 110% like it was the 9th of the WS. Meanwhile they’re down 8 and have 3 outs left.
Buddy was throwing a PERFECT GAME! And you start screaming about getting out. I don’t understand it.
It makes me dislike Naylor.
Do you think the Indians want a perfect game or no-hitter pitched against them? Not at ALL. Hustle and make him earn it.
@@giarcenspiel I don't mind the hustle to first base at all. In fact, I still always find it frustrating when batters don't leg it out, no matter how far you're down. I just found the tantrum a bit much, even if it was brief.
@@BobbySacamano fair, idk if I would call it a tantrum haha. He’s in that competitive situation where you are fighting hard not to be embarrassed and wants it bad. No harm done
@@giarcenspiel I'm being a bit hyperbolic. I agree with you.
congrats Jomboy! you got a shoutout on April 16ths episode of Pardon The Interruption on ESPN from Tony Kornheiser. He referenced you about The Padres and The dodgers
I had to rewind to see if Tony actually said Jomboy lol
Perez did nothing wrong here
I love this guys windup and delivery. Up there with some of my favorites. It looks so effortless, it amazes me he needed TJ surgery
Mans name is Carlos Rodón and he speaks like someone from the midwest and throws no nos i love this guy
been watching A SHIT TON of your videos recently and can’t stop watching them. your commentary is A1😹😹😹. love ya buddy keep up the good work!👍🏽
Excellent video. Jomboy.......Single handedly bringing baseball back
Happy for Carlos. I've always liked this dude and I'm not surprised one bit that he has finally thrown a no-hitter 💪🏻💪🏻
I know this probably gets commented a lot but man I love baseball way more now because of you.
I dont like baseball and I like these breakdowns, perfectly summarized. congrats to him
Wow. Looks like I picked a great season to start watching baseball again 👍
this guy is awesome. every response he had was perfect
