Calyx Services enjoys sharing easy-to-follow, hands-on demo videos that cover all aspects of growing vegetables, fruits, #houseplants, and beautiful ornamental plants in our #tropical garden. We hope you will be inspired and motivated to put some of what we teach into practice in your garden.
While this Channel focuses on home gardening, we also wish to support the efforts of farmers and persons studying #agriculture. We have therefore provided these links to our training resources available on Amazon and Bookfusion.
Thanks for the video and stay safe.
Thanks for your usual support @Christopherhall. We may be spared the worst as the eye of hurricane will be south of Jamaica. But we'll still get winds and rain.
Stay safe🙏🏿
Stay safe.
This is an excellent video. The video is original and informative. In addition to sharing your garden hurricane damage preparation you also created a record of your beautiful garden before the hurricane.
Thanks for your supportive (and astute) comments.😊
The garden sustained moderate damage during the hurricane and is already on its way to recovery.
Hi Calyx, im keen to hydrangeas in my garden in Kingston. Question: How did you get your hydregeas and from your experience can I grow them in
Kingston? Thanks for your help💕🇬🇧🇯🇲
I purchased my first hydrangea plant at the Mandeville Flower a few years ago, but check out plant nurseries in Kingston and you should be able to find it. I've seen it growing very well in St. Andrew (e.g., Manor Park, Liguanea, Red Hills, Stony Hills). If you're at a lower elevation, protect it from too much sunlight and from moisture stress.
Is your garden okay madam?
Thanks for asking. The garden had some damage but nothing very serious. We'll be releasing a video on this in a couple days.
