Help please I’ve checked that Apple airplay and HomeKit is turned on and my fire tv shows up in iphone control center, but when I select it, it just hangs and says “unable to connect to TV”. It doesn’t pop up with the code like yours. I’ve tried restarting the Tv, airplane mode, nothing works. :(
I don't know what is going on. Were you ever able to figure it out?
This works differently for some people some will be in the display and sound option but might be called Enable Display Mirroring

I guess fire tv sticks are not compatible with AirPlay and Home Kit. Only fire tv set.

It won't work on your firestick! Just certain firetv models!
I used air play before but my tv icon on airplay just shows up as white and I can’t connect?
Make sure you are on the same network!

This used to work for me but no longer does anymore; I tried restarting my tv, clearing the cache and data, updating my phone and tv to the latest software, NOTHING
So sorry to hear this... is it possible you are on the wrong band of your network? Like 5ghz vs 2.4ghz etc?
