Bro the cost of things depends upon the purchasing power parity rate. it's around 22 which means if you buy a pen in US for one dollar, in India it costs 22Rs.
It's not like multiplying currency exchange rate (1USD =80Rs).

If you want to buy groceries that are not bought by Americans, like thondekaai, it is very very expensive. This is because you can buy coriander in any supermarket but not thondekaai. So, to remain competitive, they have to sell cheap.
