This demonstration is everything I've been looking for since the pandemic. I'll miss the barbershop comradery but I'm saving lots of money. Major thanks, Tyler!!! ✌💯

I'm a barber, and iv been shaving and maintaining my own completely bald head for over ten years. And in terms of maintenance, honestly, you can't beat shaving by feel in a hot shower with mach3 or a fusion5. Hands down the closet quickest and easy way to maintain, just don't let it get too long, or you'll need to use the clipper or trimmer prior to shaving.

Question: New to your channel. Like the vid. You did a great job. I'm a disabled vet and wasn't sure if I could do it. I feel confident after watching it. Now, my question is, how about beard trim. My beard is not all the way down to my neck. Stops just under the chin. I am learning to do all my own cut and trims. Thanks and look forward to a beard trim video please 👍
Been bald since my early 30s and loved it. Always wanted to know how to get the stubble (one up from a razor) look and now I know, the Trimmer! Summer is coming so might even do the foil one too.
Touching bald heads is therapeutic to me, and now I can actually wear my beanies! And hats! And cosplay wigs without over heating and having annoying stray hairs in my face. It's amazing😂
Good video. A few years ago after growing out my beard, I also deduce decided to go bald and spent many hundreds(thousands?) of dollars on various shaving tools. I do like the andis foil. The Braun series 9 is a decent one, too. If I’m going electric my preference has really been the pitbull platinum when I’m in the shower. It’s easy and I can wet shave with it without worrying about making a mess. If I want to get a super clean shave then I run with the LEAF for the head and Thorn for the cheeks/ears/trim. I tried getting into various safety razors and I could do it but took too much concentration to not nick myself and I just don’t have the patience. The Leaf does a stellar job of you want safety razor smooth but the pitbull has really impressed me for ease of use. Then I’ll just trim up the cheeks and ears with the One Blade. And for the beard - it’s always the Brio Beardscape for me. I have 3 of them now. The original got downgraded to dog trimmer but still runs great!
My friends think im crazy for using face shaving blades on my head lol. Ive been using them since i was 15, which was 20 years ago. Ive tried other shaving products and they sucked. Maybe ill try these foil shavers.
One thing you might want to have included is that some of the trimmer features on normal electric razors are at a wrong angle making the bulk hair removal very very poor and difficult. Your recommendation of getting a good electric CLIPPER and/or a ELECTRIC TRIMMER is the kind of advice everyone who wants to shave the head needs.
I found the foil shaver you used in the video. I'm just curious if there are other foil Shavers you would recommend as well. I'm gonna sound cheap but cost is always a consideration:)

After 20 years of long hair I was forced to let go of it and decided to go to the other extreme, started getting 1 and 1.5 grade skin fades but I genuinely hated that they last like 2 days so I just have full shaving a chance. I've been doing the razor way but it really doesn't thrill me. A ton of guys I've seen achieve the full bald look with a rotary shaver applied to the scalp, manufacturers don't even approve of the use but I've seen it work. How bad would it be to do that vs using the coil shaver you demonstrated?

It takes practice and a few bandaids. But after few years, you can do it without drawing blood. Saved $15000 (If I would have gone to a barber every month) -1x the price of a professional clipper
Water is not a good enough lubricant. I needed two tries with a DE safety razor before I could try it without getting a single nick - you need proper lubrication, and all you really need is your wife's conditioner
Growing up my parents had a foil shaver. When I was in 8th grade, I was growing hair between my eyebrows, and I definitely didn’t want a unibrow. I took that foil shaver and push it against my face between my eyebrows. I burned and cut my skin with it. I’ve been scared of foil shavers ever since. I’m gonna go and buy one, and shave my head with it. Gotta conquer my fear to get a nice shaved head. Thanks for the instructions!!!
How close of a shave do you get this way? I bought the Brio Raze, Free Bird and I have to scrape the hell out of my head to get a decently smooth shave but your approach seems more effective and less painful (minus the alcohol bath, ouch!).
13:19 jajajajajajaja I'm bald too since 2020 (Pandemic) and proud to look that way... it must be necessary to use after shave or at last some alcohol to disinfect your dome. Great vid! I really enjoy that you didn't ever really mention anything about religion and kept to the topic because i didn't even notice there was a religious aspect to your channel until the very end. Also ive always been skeptical of those foil shavers so it's good to hear that they're not bad.
Other people night have lighter hair colour, less dense hairs, and you always examine yourself closely in a mirror while you look at other people from a bit further away. Chances are some of them think their hairline is showing too much as well.
@@Ben_levinehey man, hope you get notified on my comment. I’m using a $5 Bic Comfort 3 and simple hair conditioner as a shaving cream. I get great results. 100% smooth. Great Video ! As a professional , what is you opinion of things like the Freebird or the Pitbull shavers? Also, the foil shaver you used vs the Braun Series 9? I've only been head shaving for a few weeks and trying to learn as much as I can. God Bless. Have a great day and smooth shaves !!
I have been shaving the dome with DE and the Leaf. Sometimes getting to BBS has been harder lately (even with new blades). Do you think a foil shaver would help get to BBS?I
Do you use 3 blades in the Leaf? I use 3 Feather yellow pack blades in mine and Head Slick shaving cream. Great shaver but get yourself a Henson AL 13 Medium or Aggressive and use the Head Slick too. Absolutely the closest shave I’ve ever had.
Question: At TS 13:02 you said after shave to spray your head. I went and looked at your links and what they had there were similar to what you had in your hand. It didn't look like the same one that you had in the video. Can you verify? Ty. :-)
I bought the Babyliss Pro Titanium Foil Shaver for the build, weight. Though Braun Series 9, Andis ProFoil Lithium Plus, TPOB Slime Skull Foil Shaver get rave reviews. Also check which has the cheepiest genuine replacement blades where you are.
I have the Remington Self-cut, which is ok for anything down to a grade 2 (for me) but after that, it leaves a lot of patches.... It's really frustrating. I'm looking to be able to get down as short as possible without the hassle of wet shaving my head. I also have a few CVG creases/ridges in my scalp, so it looks like I missed lines of hair to people who've never seen that condition before. So in summary, I've still not found a solution to cater to my particular scalp yet to get it cleanly cut. I like the look of the foil head shaver, and also the first one you used on yourself. I'll have to give them a try.
I ditched the disposable razor or any of the ones with the strip.. I bought a Gillette safety razor and best shave ever face, head and down below. Also anything with a strip as my former barber told me has the active ingredient as rogaine which makes your facial hair grow back quicker thus requiring a new razor more often
The best bald head tutorial and I've been bald for over 10 years. I use the same method but I use a Leaf razor after I knock the stubble down. Great video!
Way too many steps, I'm a new barber, but I've been maintaining my own bald head for over 10 years, and I gotta say, in terms of maintenance nothing gets closer and is less work than shaving by feel in a hot shower with a Mach3 or a Fusion5. Just don't let it get too long, or you'll need to knock it down with a trimmer or clipper first.
Do you have any advice? My bald head is very oily. I'm having to wash/wipe it every few hours to keep my head somewhat dry. I use an exfoliator, but that doesn't help much.
I’m not correcting the creator here, but it may work better for you to not use a mirror at all and go by feel. I tried the double mirror method for several shaved, but it ended up being frustrating more than anything. Going by feel I’m fast and smooth.
Yep, shaving with a a DE safety razor and I find using the mirror only dulls my sense of touch. I'm better off closing my eyes and focusing on only one sense.
I have wahl balding clippers, do i still need trimmers after using them, or, just go straight to foil after my clippers use? PS. 4:52 Whats the name of the big tennis racket sized hand mirror? That's barber shop design stickers on mirror?
I am afraid to shave my head, not because of accepting baldness, but because my skin is so damaged from cradal cap I've had since I was an infant, and there has never been a solution to it. I also get it in my beard. When i shave my beard however, it heals. So I am hoping my head will heal when it's completely shaved.
I shaved my head a year ago and i had lines grooves in my head... like something out of avatar.. i hate it its on both right and left side of my head like my is like grooved. Curved lines so i have never tried again becuase of my head shape or something 😢
The back of my head is balding and I'm getting the windows peak. I've been seriously thinking of the bald look. Has anyone here tried a wet-dry trimmer in the shower?
Yes, I use one, the Wahl aquablade trimmer, works good, won’t get it as close as this method but if your okay with having a bit of stubble it’ll work fine, you could do it everyday, will only take you about 5 minutes once your used to it 👍😊
I have been shaving my head for many years and have tried every technique on the planet. While each technique and tool had it's advantages, I have basically settled on one, even down to specific razors. I suggest using DE safety razors or a headblade. With safety razors, you don't really need to knock growth down like you do. I can shave off a full head of hair if I want to. Also, safety razor don't leave the mess that I had shaving with my foil razor. The lather traps all of the stubble and you just rinse it off. IMO, the best razors for safe and easy head shaves are the Henson AL13, Karve Overlander, and the HeadBlade Moto. Safety razor shaves are also the cheapest shaves you can get. I use my Henson AL13 with Astra Superior Platinum blades which are 100 blades for under $10. I throw a blade out after 5 shaves, though it could probably do more. So 500 shaves for under 10$ LOL !
I love this!! I have a question, my boyfriend suffers from bumps on the back of his head. I've taken over and can start shaving his head for about 3 years and I've tried everything to get rid of his marks and prevent the bumps from coming back. Would you recommend this method for him? Or can you please provide something? By the way, he’s Black just to give insight into the type of hair he has.
tell him to buy an exfoliating glove and get a nice scrub product. This will get rid of dead skin and also it will make sure the pores are open and the hair dont get trapped under the skin.Thats how bumps form.I had bumps forever until I seen a video on youtube that fixed my problem for good
I am probably going to adopt this as my hair style if that is not an oxymoron. But I have a 'head of hair' at the moment quite short, a number 3. I am basically bald on top. Whenever I get a view like on a bus cctv it still comes as a shock. My hair is thin at the sides and sparse and thin at the front. However, at the back it is still ample and dense. I rambember that my late father that was the last place his hair went. How do I deal with shaving my own thick dense hair at the back?
Use safety razors . Quicker and better result, they may cut though and skin may require some time to get used to the blade. I shave my head every single morning with safety razor and I have a lot of hair.
Dude, you're a maniac. Aftershave after shaving head? Ludacrious. I've been razor shaving my head since 2016, Just hot water and Nivea after shaving, that's all you need, and you don't have to suffer the pain of the aftershave. Put sunblock too if you cant use a hat or cap outside. That's it.
The reason why many people don’t want to use a safety razor is because it requires more skill to use it safely. You can master it on the face pretty quickly, but the head requires more practice time. I use a safety razor, and I took a chunk out of my head the other day. I will still continue to use one on my face, but no more such blades on my head ever again. For head, electric razor is the safest. What type is up to you.
Been bald a month and loving it.
It's funny. i hated it when i lost my hair. Now i hate that It grows back too fast after a full shave 😂

My place only have WAHL, will it be good replacement for Rebel?
I’m not correcting the creator here, but it may work better for you to not use a mirror at all and go by feel. I tried the double mirror method for several shaved, but it ended up being frustrating more than anything. Going by feel I’m fast and smooth.
Yep, shaving with a a DE safety razor and I find using the mirror only dulls my sense of touch. I'm better off closing my eyes and focusing on only one sense.
Is that better than shaving with razor?
I have wahl balding clippers, do i still need trimmers after using them, or, just go straight to foil after my clippers use?
PS. 4:52 Whats the name of the big tennis racket sized hand mirror? That's barber shop design stickers on mirror?
I am afraid to shave my head, not because of accepting baldness, but because my skin is so damaged from cradal cap I've had since I was an infant, and there has never been a solution to it.
I also get it in my beard. When i shave my beard however, it heals. So I am hoping my head will heal when it's completely shaved.
What if i dont have a bald spot?
Facts, but man I feel one really needs to get down using a DE on their face before venturing to the bald head. Rookies will learn fast lol
I agree with you and I use the same blades you mentioned for the same great price
I get razor bumps near my neck at the back. Even with a new razor blade
Great video, everyone tells me I look like an emoji ever since I shaved my head.
Only thing I'd comment on is you might wanna tell people how much pressure to use when using the foil shaver!
I've never found a foil electric shaver that can get my head bbs. Steel razor blades are the only method that works for me . 🤷🏻
Look up GQ bald hair care
@@Edenmm thanks!
Witch hazel helped me. I just put some on a cotton pad or paper towel and just dab it all over areas where I usually get them
tell him to buy an exfoliating glove and get a nice scrub product. This will get rid of dead skin and also it will make sure the pores are open and the hair dont get trapped under the skin.Thats how bumps form.I had bumps forever until I seen a video on youtube that fixed my problem for good
@@realtalk37851 thanks!! Can you reply with that video link, please?
I am probably going to adopt this as my hair style if that is not an oxymoron. But I have a 'head of hair' at the moment quite short, a number 3. I am basically bald on top. Whenever I get a view like on a bus cctv it still comes as a shock. My hair is thin at the sides and sparse and thin at the front. However, at the back it is still ample and dense. I rambember that my late father that was the last place his hair went. How do I deal with shaving my own thick dense hair at the back?
I'll stick to my Harry's 6 blade. Thanks.
Just bc you mentioned Jesus… I’m subscribing 🙌 anddd I like your video
Bald head looking sharp ❤
I shut my eyes and use the Force.
Use safety razors . Quicker and better result, they may cut though and skin may require some time to get used to the blade. I shave my head every single morning with safety razor and I have a lot of hair.
I was told to use good beard oil only on my head and never To use aftershave
Will definitely be late to work every time I shave my head.
Great video man!
That's it.
I use a five headed shaver and it works perfectly. Takes no time at all.
gONNA TRY YOUR INSTRUCTION. gOTTA BUY A SHAVER? mY RAZON HAS A CLIPPER - NOT GOOD E NOUGH? lET ME KNOW.....
Anyone ever use magic shave?
Great video.
Please reduce your music is coming with main audio
The reason why many people don’t want to use a safety razor is because it requires more skill to use it safely. You can master it on the face pretty quickly, but the head requires more practice time. I use a safety razor, and I took a chunk out of my head the other day. I will still continue to use one on my face, but no more such blades on my head ever again. For head, electric razor is the safest. What type is up to you.
make sure you use a slippery shaving cream and dont use so much pressure
