Aww, wish you told me you were doing this video, I've got the arcade game and coould have sent you some photos/videos of the board and cartridge :D Oh, you can also randomly be abducted by aliens in the game!
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for Patman. I used to play a wrestling arcade game in my local bowling alley practically everytime my family and I went there. I couldn't remember the name of the game, and for many years I been looking up wrestling arcade games from the late 80s and early 90s. Welp I finally have the name Wrestle War. Appreciate all the videos.
I've never thought the GREATEST RUclipsR EVER would have made a video about this wrestling game for the arcade and the Dreamcast! I remember playing it in the arcades at the seaside in some occasions! Great thing! Keep doing what you're doing! Waiting for a CRIME FIGHTERS 2 documentary 😁 as always, immediate like

Cool thanks for making this video. That's interesting about the 3 minute time limit in the Rumble. Makes it so your not only working against the other wrestlers, but you're also working against the clock. Neat game dynamic.
3:23 HOW COULD YOU FORGET TO “WOOOOOOOOO!!!” 3:50 Okay, I forgive you. That joke made me laugh while eating supper.. I did NOT know the arcade existed.. I played the Dreamcast version
Fire Pro Wrestling D is my game! There is nothing like hitting a move and seeing it go "CRITICAL!" randomly and your opponent has a busted arm, cant walk properly, or is just knocked out cold.
This is gonna get alot of views from the clip art alone. First time viewer Btw u sound like an off brand Rick Flair and thats great for this video WOOOOOOHHH
I didn't get the chance to play this in the arcade. Very interesting history to each wrestling game that has come out. Love the royal rumble for the snes but I had the sega version. I wasn't able to play as flair until much later when I got a snes. Awesome job with the vid Pat! 👊
I have this in my closet for Dreamcast. When it came out, my friends and I definitely played it. But it wasn't one of our go to games. Among my friends, it was regarded as fun, but not amazing.
Hey Patman, I bet you could do a pretty good Howard Finkel impression, you pretty much nailed it with the Ric Flair introduction you did on the Super Wrestmania part of the vid
i remember almost buying a dreamcast at best buy along with this game but right when i was paying their computers crushed took me 15 mins till i said fuck it i changed my mind
Thanks for another excellent video. Can you speak more to Wrestle War??? This was a relatively obscure title even in its day. Were there ANY home conversions? Was this a playoff of a current title? Any info beyond the mentions here would be great. Thanks again for all you do
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries excellent, thanks again for all that you dp to provide us all joy , entertainment and nostalgia all at the same time, and double that for your willingness to respond to our comments and questions . All hail PatmanQC :)
If this game came out earlier like maybe around 1998 it would had been easily accepted by the masses but this game was released at the time when arcades are dying not to mention wrestling games are going the technical route instead of arcadey route. It's short roster of 21 wrestlers isn't enough to satisfied even the die hard WWF wrestling fans at the time and the lack of match types, new modes, and CAW option didn't attract players away from the decent PlayStation's SmackDown games or the N64's superior WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy titles. It's a time killer game and that's probably the only thing it got going for it.
LOL, that referee's voice is iconic to me. There were a few other wrestling games I didn't include as well. I may have to do one dedicated solely to arcade wrestling titles. Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it

Hello you! 😁
Hey Hey its LBJ
: You said Rikishi don't do the 450 splash in real life, bit he really does.
@Marc Carran Hey look its a total jerk!
I did not know that about the aliens
We love ya Patman. Thanks for all that you do
Thank you very much :-)
Konami's The Main Event was the first arcade wrestling game I ever played. It was pretty fun, the crowd noise and atmosphere in the game was great.
There is a sign for Billy Gunn in the crowd so apparently he got cut as well
@nemo pouncey Well there you go somebody needs to patch them into the game

Played the crap outta it on my dreamcast, Great upload man !
Thanks so much
Only Vince would have himself be the boss of a wrestling game.
Goddamn pal!
@nemo pouncey Sure, but never as the actual end boss. At least non that I can think of.
Of course he is The final boss, he's got the biggest grapefruits :-)
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries you mean the smallest raisins😂

My favorite wrestling game, me and my buddies had so much fun!
Always better in multiplayer I agree
Old school FIRE PRO WRESTLING games are still fun.
Absolutely
One of my old school favourite games by my favourite RUclipser, what more could you ask for
LOL, thank you
Great stuff. Loving your channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
Mr. Grapefruits himself 😂. I hope you have a nice & safe thanksgiving with you’re family 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽😊 patmanqc
Thank you, happy Thanksgiving to you as well
Godly episode. I LOVED this game, pre-ordered and had it day F’n one lol
LOL, thank you
I played this at my local arcade game a lot. It was so good.
So did I :-)
Wish they come out with it on arcade 1up
Do you smell what PatmanQC is cookin'?
LOL
This takes me back to the first PatmanQC video I ever watched, years ago, MatMania, a.k.a Exciting Hour.
Excellent, thanks for hanging around
I remember playing WWF Royal Rumble Arcade on the Sega Dreamcast.
I still have my Dreamcast. I need to see if this game is still in the box with it. I had a lot of fun with this.
I still had fun playing it While making this video
Great work Sir thank you for the awesome work!!
Thanks a lot
Love that intro, lol. Happy Thanksgiving Patman and all of the fans!
Thank you, happy holidays sorry for the late reply
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Thank you for replying at all. No worries!
I used to play The Main Event way more than any human should have... and it sucks pretty bad.
I agree, it's not very good
The microphone Road Dogg is holding looks utterly ridiculous
I know, it's like a giant ice cream cone
It's faithful to the arcade original. I really wanted a deeper pro wrestling game for the Dreamland.
Like I mentioned in the video there were some Japanese only games that were a lot better for the Dreamcast

Would love to see you do a video on the GREATEST Dreamcast wrestling game... Giant Gram 2000.
I will get to that at some point

My thoughts exactly, fun and short verse but no real depth
I had this game for Dreamcast but sadly never got into it.
That's because that's what was
I remember playing this at the movie theatre in like 2001
Our theaters Had it as well
Vince is the final boss in WrestleMania XIX, which is possibly the worst WWF/WWE game, next to Crush Hour.
Hey Patman, I bet you could do a pretty good Howard Finkel impression, you pretty much nailed it with the Ric Flair introduction you did on the Super Wrestmania part of the vid

WWF Royal Rumble look killer for me to play. 😀👍🎮
Have fun
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries ok I will. 😀👍🎮
The Nature Boy Ric Flair. Whoo!
One of my favorite wrestlers of all time :-)
Played this at WWF restaurant and after school program. And a cousin house. Royal rumble Sega Dreamcast
I always wanted to go there

Nothing can compete with the Nintendo 64 aki wrestling titles, those are by far my favorite and still are
One! Two! Tweeeee!!! Love it lol
😁 It's a classic
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries A wonderful classic!
If I designed this game, I've give Mankind the most hit points. He'd also have 3 different costumes.
No doubt :-)
Legends of Wrestling is the newest wrestling game I've played... I'm not sure which one came out first
This game came first
I played the crap out of this game BUT was always a little sad it wasn’t like the N64 versions
Yes I agree
You mention da naitcha boy, but no "woooooo!?"

Ironic and inaccurate you say that Rikishi don't do the 450 splash in real life when he really does do it
I have never seen him do the 450/….Ever.

Did The Rock ever really say what it was he was cooking, anyway?
LOL I don't think so
I wasn't happy when dreamcast was screwed out of a good WWF game it should of got a better version of smackdown or something like it
I agree
Big Slow got sent to ovw to lose weight and came back in 2001 fatter than ever lmao.
Yeah it took a while for him to get his weight under control but it looks really good now
Never liked this game. Basically a Button smasher.
I had this for the Dreamcast. Not a great game.
🤘😜🤘
This wasnt made by Yukes.
Yes it was, check out the loading screen for proof
One, two, tweeeee!!!!
LOL
👍👍
Thank you
WHAT?!
LOL
This looks so terrible. I almost bought this for Dreamcast, glad I didn’t.
Not much depth to be honest
This was such a disappointment
That wasn't a large roster even in 1999 for a WWF game. WWF Attitude and WrestleMania 2000 had more.
I didn't say other games didn't have more I said by today's standards where the roster is 70 or 80 wrestlers this game had a decent amount
