    Plus great to learn the basics of moving, pushing etc for beginners.

    They’re good for the days that the homies want to skate but you’re not really feeling it. It’s easy to push around, and because it’s a different type of board you just do easy tricks

    If you’re a surfer or you want to develop flowy style you absolutely must own a cruiser board. First time I ever dropped into a bowl was on a Santa Cruz land shark. They teach you how to maximize your comfort level on your board and are a thousand times smoother for traveling and bombing. I feel as if any skater will benefit from spending some time on a cruiser

    Another reason to have one is because it's fun... I like to try skating different boards/setups, even if it's challenging. Might make you look at things differently or do things you've never thought of/tried before. IMO.

    Having a cruiser is great for your everyday life it's really practicle and i can just strap it to my backpack but i definitely use it to be faster than just walking rather than to do any trick

    I have one that I only use for transportation when it's raining, if it's dry I take my regular board. I live in the Seattle area so the cruiser is perfect this time of year when it's super rainy and wet all the time

    OJ 55mm Super Juice wheels are great for shredding in the streets! a bit harder to lock into ledges, almost impossible sometimes lol but if you have rough streets in your area than a cruiser setup is a must imo

    My cruiser is a regular deck with avenue suspension trucks and light-up LED soft cruiser wheels. Super smooth and quiet ride, but I can still do all the basic tricks. 👌🏻

    I am a skater who comes from longboarding, i found having a cruiser is the best to get around!! You can do hills more comfortly and still do some skating!!
    You know, different board for a different situation

    I used to JUST cruise on a cruiser but now that ive been skating for awhile now, i havent been using my cruiser as often and it saddens me ALOT :*) i should find time to JUST cruise eh?

    Not only is a cruiser board quieter it's also a lot smoother, could be turnier (depending on how it's set up) and it's a lot easier to pump and roll over bigger rocks and sticks because of the larger and softer wheels. It's such an obvious choice for people have have ridden a very well set up cruiser or longboard. How does one set up a cruiser? Find a shape that you like with a kicktail and flat front then put an angled riser on the front truck with some medium soft Venom or Reflex bushings. Makes turning at any speed much smoother and more controllable. Then some good quality bearings with the softest and biggest wheels that will fit and you have yourself a mind blowingly carvy/surfy and controllable cruiser. You might just end up preferring to cruise and bomb hills instead of street skating like I did.

    I use Spitfire Chargers (85duro) on a twin tail (ishod) 8.38 with rails. Strictly for commutes and parking block boardslides while waiting for the train. And bombing the little hills in DTLA.

    People underestimate the cruiser. I started skating a 70s board cause I wanted that Dog Town experience and I got hooked. Nothing like hitting coping on Indy 109s or Ace 00's. It's a whole different feel. Some things are harder but that makes it more fun. It hones in your skills on a regular board. I have way too much fun on my cruiser boards.

    I love this video. Because I live in NY and have a cruzer for getting to work. And when I know I'm hitting the park after work I always know im going to sweat my ass off because it take more effort to push on reg board. Never even though about it from a filmers point of view. Dope.

    No cruiser deck just cruiser wheels for me. I ride either an 8.38 or 8.5 on indy 149's, slap on some oj mini super juices for cruising/ getting to work and some bones or f4s for tricks and parks.

    I got one when i went to hawaii for the first time when i was 7. i still have it till this day 14 years later but it's just decoration/keep sake item. i don't think cruisers are needed unless you film. I'd rather bring my board to do tricks along the way if i skate anywhere.

    I've been on and off on cruisers for a while. I use cruisers for distance, plus it's really fun and challenging doing little things like ollieing up curbs.

    I have a cruiser I guess. It’s a Creature fish(ish) twin tail, but I do actually like it on pump tracks and bowls. My first board was a fishtail that I found when I was a kid, and though popsicles were already I thing I didn’t have one for years. I learned my first tricks on that board and will always have a soft spot for them.

    🌆Instead of a cruiser board, i use 62 mm soft wheels. But the regular wheels always go in the backpack.🌆

    I have a cruiser board that's because I barely learn how to ride and it's much easier to ride than the skateboard. I've been skating a little over a year and I know how to ride switch and I don't think I'll be able to learn how to ride switch if I did it on the regular skateboard

      Not a bad idea, I heard keeping a board in your car can cause it to loose it’s pop and just wear out faster from the extreme weather. Not sure how true it is but I’d rather risk a cruiser than my main board.

    Ok this is going to shock you .... but we common folk use CRUISER boards .... for CRUISING
    I'd love to have like an electric skateboard or something but i can't afford it, and the roads where i live suck so my regular board just doesnt work for going places. I skate my normal board and i cruise with my cruiser board

    in Norway there is bad asphalt and gravel all over, så cruiser boards is esential if u want to ride fast and safe

    I love how the only reasons they come up with are the wheels and none for the deck.
    Like you can put soft wheels on a normal deck.

      well usually people who have regular trick boards find regular hard wheels better for tricks and park skating and stuff so thats why they dont use soft wheels

      @@joehernandez1694 I know, but they're coming up with reasons to have a crusier board and all they come up with are the wheels. You can either have extra soft wheels or another popsicle deck with soft wheels and get the same result and still be able to do more tricks on them than a cruiser.
      The reason I want a cruiser is to have wider deck for bombing hills and riding on rough terrain. Also a board I don't mind keeping in my car.

    Traditional cruiser boards will always be fun no matter your skill level, but I’ve found just having a way larger set up with fat wheels is a better way to cruise if you still wanna get some tricks out, I rock 159 indys and it gives me the option to work with a bunch of fun sizes and shapes 🤔💪🤷‍♂️

    If you were a filmer and also a skater, you could just buy a set of softer larger wheels, bearings and risers and swap them out on your regular board, would be cheaper than the cheapest complete cruiser board you could get at a skate shop and you could leave them in your skate backpack.
