Kaivalya Gharge the best substitution for p is making a t sound but placing your tongue at the back of your front teeth when you make it. It softens the t sound to make it more like a p. I have a separate video on my channel covering it in more detail. I hope this helps.👍😃
Thanks Joel. I think I’m going to make more how to vids on ventriloquism. I’ve been pleasantly surprised how people have reacted to it. I was nervous to put this up as it’s not my usual stuff.
@@MarkOfStupidityTV Man that was cool! Your stunning talent is only surpassed by your natural teaching ability. This is a clear example of the internet's promise. Thanks for creating. I did with Terrot cards what you did with ventriloquism. Everywhere, all day, all the time. Today it's such a fun/valuable tool to own. It starts slow as you said but like the seventh wave of covid, it shoots up seemingly out of nowhere but in truth, it was your dedication and natural physical passion/enthusiasm that made it work. It's teachers like you that make students like me look good. [I said all the above without moving my lips. Hmmm. I'm on my way.] Peace.✌
Woah! This a a short video loaded with useful information. Im here to learn the voice delay, i thought learning a bit of ventriloquism beforehand would be a useful thing for learning the voice delay. Excellent video!
I am a magician (mostly amaeteur for now, though I had some paid gigs), and have recentlyh decided to incorporate a little puppet in my act for one specific magic trick. I am not looking for becoming the best ventriloquist in the world, but just to make my puppet talk a little to entertain small kids. Thank you for this video, it was great advice!
I'm watching this because the only part I suck at is saying words with a "B" or a "P" sound because those are the words that make my lips visibly move. Yes, I would love a vid on that!
I have always wanted to be ventriloquist.. glad i found your channel. Trying to figure out how to express my voice. I always thought it was singing but I find ventriloquism to be much more my style. I am sure you'll cover it, but my problem is the "Ps", M's, B"s, "W's" etc....:) cant wait
Hi Deb, so pleased that these videos will be of use to you. And yes, there’s videos covering how to pronounce all the difficult letters. Good luck with it and I can’t wait to see some ventriloquism RUclips videos of your own very soon no doubt! Happy venting. 👍🤓
BobSouthDakota thanks! That’s a great question. I generally would play around with a new puppet character to see at first what comes out naturally, then I’d try working through different voices, high pitched, deep, various accents, to see what fits. It also depends what the puppet looks like. Maybe I need to do a video on this! 😃
I've a few puppet vids on my channel but I just could not pull the ventriloquism bit off, so i'm always out of shot lol. This video will come in handy! cheers.
Thanks Mark. I am TRYING to do this, but I am a bit nervous in front of people. I have followed a few DIY Lessons, but I reckon the more 'points of view, the betterr instructed you are(?)
I definitely know the feeling! I used to get incredibly nervous about performing in front of people when I first started and still get nerves to this day! One trick I use is this, I read somewhere that the feeling of nerves and anxiety is very similar to the feeling of excitement, so next time you feel anxious and nervous, just say to yourself, oh I’m excited about doing this. Just reframe the feelings. I’ve found this has worked for me in many different situations. Happy venting!👍😃
Sir some other channel said no need to close teeth but other said closing teeth is necessary and on google i search and a slight gap is required it say so which one is the correct one
Hi, your videos are great, it is helping me really, I want to know a technique.. Generally ventriloquists substitute B with D, P with T and F with TH.... But do some ventriloquists Or is it possible to substitute B with GEE or P with KEE and F with KH.. I will be really thankful if you help me out..
The optimal position is keeping your teeth together, closed, with lips apart. If your teeth are apart you will always get some lip movement because your jaw will move. Keeping your teeth together helps stabilise everything. I hope that helps. 👍🤓
The teeth together thing... What happens if you have dicky teeth that when together the space is so tight the sound sounds like its in a auit case? Can just the front teeth be held together? Or any other common positions?
Hi, there’s a whole series of videos on my channel covering each letter in the ventriloquist alphabet and their respective substitutions. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching. 👍🤓
You should practice with both a puppet voice and your natural voice. Usually though you’ll just be performing ventriloquism with your puppet voice. It’s good to get used to performing in multiple voices especially if you’re going to do more than one character. To begin with though, it’s probably easiest to practice with your puppet voice, get comfortable with that, then move on to trying others. Hope that helps.
Try making a D sound but use the tip of your tongue to push up against the back of your front teeth instead of the roof of your mouth .That should soften the D sound to resemble more of a B. I hope that helps. All the best. 👍🤓

Can we say f for p

The “talk out of sync” baffled my brain lmao I thought my video was lagging 😂😂😂😂😂 good god
Thanks Mark, great tips. If it was easy everyone would be a ventriloquist.
Thanks Joel. I think I’m going to make more how to vids on ventriloquism. I’ve been pleasantly surprised how people have reacted to it. I was nervous to put this up as it’s not my usual stuff.
Wasn't ready for the deep voice at all :D

Do you have any tips for the harder letters? Like where to put your tounge?
Hi, there’s a whole series of videos on my channel covering each letter in the ventriloquist alphabet and their respective substitutions. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching. 👍🤓
So like when we talk in ventriloquist mouth position the sound is like forcing voice because of teeth so that should it be
Can you please do one for b w v and you know the hard ones
Please make more videos
Hi! In the process of making more videos as I type. Thanks for watching. 👍🤓
Sir how to have different voice for the dummy
The mirror is your best friend.
If you don't like looking at yourself, then maybe ventriloquism is not for you...😊
OH LORD I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO WATCH THIS I GOT IT FIRST TIME
DAYUM I'M ONLY 10 AND I GOT IT FIRST TRY
Was not expecting that low voice wow
So sir from the begining we should not use our natural voice l mean is a voice for our puppet is required from the beginning or not

it works it's just that I cannot speak the letters b f v p z m w, any tips ?

i JUST canot say " B / F " i always say D

No. 6: have a clean mouth without food scraps

B M P V W are the hardest for me.
Sounds tricky to learn when you have no teeth.
