    Here's part 2 on learning ventriloquism. If there's other elements of ventriloquism you want to learn or you'd like me to talk about, just let me know in the comments below, it's always great to hear from you all. Happy venting!

    Thanks for your clear explanation of this, me and my wife had a good time laughing at each other trying this, of course my wife is better at it because she’s used to muttering under her breath at me 😆

    That's great! In my mouth it kinda feels like a cross between a "d" and a voiced "th". Much more effective than a "g" sound. Although I've been sat here for 15 minutes doing it to myself and I'm sure my housemate is starting to worry if my brain has finally cracked!

    • @MarkOfStupidityTV
      @MarkOfStupidityTV  4 года назад +2

      Thinking about it, in my head I’m thinking a “v” sound, but actually making a combination of “d” and “th” to create the “b”...It’s become second nature now, so I don’t really think about it till I’m talking about the process of ventriloquism. Therein lies the problem of talking to yourself too much! X 🤓👍🏻

    Betty Botter bought some butter, but, she said, the butter’s bitter. If I put it in my batter it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter, that will make my batter better. So she bought a bit of butter better than her bitter butter and she put it in her batter and the batter was not bitter. So it was better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter!

    I'm just starting my adventure with ventriloquism and I got stuck at the 'B' for days now. How long does it take to get this right? Is it something I should focus on exclusively and work out a solution in a matter of days/weeks? Or should I just stick to substitutions and treat this like something that I will master only after years of practice?

    • @MarkOfStupidityTV
      @MarkOfStupidityTV  3 года назад +4

      It’s different for everybody. It is just practice and you will get it. Something will click and you’ll be able to do it every time. I’ve been thinking of doing another video focusing just on B and make it more of a deep dive into it. You should be able with regular practice get it after a few weeks, a month at the most. Hope that helps. Keep up the great work!

    One of my favourites is Jeff Dunham. Perhaps not as technically brilliant as the great Ray Allen but he has so many different characters all with different voices and he can jump seamlessly from one to another without making a mistake. As an example check out the youtube video featuring Achmed (the dead terrorist) and his son "AJ".

  • @aryan8932
    @aryan8932 3 года назад +1

    Hey ! Thanks for the video .... Because no one on the video , even Jeff Dunham haven't explain clearly but you have done . Thank you once again 🙏. One more thing , sorry to say this but i think you should explain it more clearly because I , the beginner , confused that which sound i take out for 'B' , " vaa" or " the " . So like this is my confusion still . So , please if you can tell the solution i will very great full to you 🙏🙏

    • @MarkOfStupidityTV
      @MarkOfStupidityTV  3 года назад +3

      Hi, so pleased that you’ve found the video helpful. Another way of doing it is making a ‘D’ sound but instead of making the sound with the tongue at the top of the roof of the mouth, you make a ‘D’ sound with your tongue touching the back of your front
      teeth. This softens the ‘D’ sound and makes it sound like ‘B’. As you do it think ‘B’ in your head rather than ‘D’. It’s really a case of finding the sound replacement you like and that works for you as everyone’s mouth and tongue shape are different. Hope that helps. 👍🤓

    • @aryan8932
      @aryan8932 3 года назад

      @@MarkOfStupidityTV Sorry to disturb you again 🙏 , but i don't think that " D " method is too good but your method is quite good . I want to know that in your method which sound we speak " vaa " or " baa " or other one ?? Please tell this 🙏🙏 . And one more thing that if you tell me when you are perfect in producing " b " sound correctly , like - in 1 year or .... And also how much you practice in a day ?? And thanks for your reply , i am with you .

      Practice at least 20 minutes day. I find that using the Vaa sound for b works better

    • @MarkOfStupidityTV
      @MarkOfStupidityTV  2 года назад

      Hi, so pleased you found the videos helpful. There’s plenty of places to buy ventriloquist puppets. It all depends on whether you want a soft puppet or hard traditional type figure? Affordable soft puppets can be found on eBay and Amazon. You can find hard figures there as well, but the cheaper ones are more basic jumping up to thousands for professional figures. There are lots of Facebook ventriloquist groups you can join that are really friendly and useful as well as ones specifically for talking about and buying dummies. Hope this was useful. All the best.👍🤓
