I have a larger hand and when holding a 4 1/4" grip, my finger tips touch by thumb...leaving zero room which I'm told should be or have a space the width of a finger. Given even a 4 3/8" won't make a significant difference, is it possible to take the diamond grip replacement tape and add that over or on top of an existing diamond grip to get a greater width and feel? Does this create any issues beside the additional weight?
It is based on personal preference and feel. Some like to just overlap by an 1/8 of a inch or even less if possible. And others overlap a 1/4 to a 1/2 in. A bigger overlap creates a sort of raised ridge that circles the handle and angles from the butt of the cap to the neck of the paddle. It's best to take your time and try different methods until you find what feels best for you. Good luck!

What does seam to seam mean? Is there a slight overlap?
