Good interview. To PT: you appreciate durability, reliability, nothing fragile → good traits, although something like a paradox when you mentioned SL8 🤔
Tarmac sl8 in size 61 with longer seat post and longer stem it would not be too small for Alex. It would fit him perfectly. I have build SL8’s before for 202cm rider. If he doesn’t like the geometry or won’t like how it rides he can turn around and sell it for profit if he build’s it from frame up. You should help him out and build it with parts sold on Panda podium. That would be a nice project that people would care to watch. In my opinion Specialized should send him an sl8 frame in size 61. He has done enough to prove himself as a professional who people care to watch and listen.
True experience in how all the nuts and bolts perform in real life under all conditions is essential to get the best engineered product. A different example but the British SA80 rifle. Really good basic design by excellent engineers but they didn’t have firearms experience and the rifle didn’t really work! Along come HK engineers that have years of firearms experience, spot the issues, couple of tweaks and changes and bingo an absolute dog is transformed into a one of best military rifles there was. Would definitely buy PT products!
no hesitation for the last answer. what a guy
This was a great interview. You should do more of these.
