Hey Fox! Tech tip: I've been investigating how to tell the voltage needed for 'unknown' RGB light strips. It wasn't obvious, but end up being simple. It should be the same for the white LEDs. It's based on the number of LEDs before a cut mark. If its 1 light per cut, it's 5V. 3 LEDs per cut is 12V. 7 per cut is 24V. Be aware if you power a 5V strip with 12V, it will likely be very bright, but will eventually burn out. If you used a 24V strip with 12V power, it might light up, but would be relatively dim if it did.
Looks great and now I am starting to regret not pulling the trigger on it. I have the games on my ALU w/ quad play deck, but that cabinet looks beautiful.
Looks great…I added speaker grills that I had from my pinball and had escape pod design original artwork for the cab. I also swapped the monitor. I was fine with the marquee. Xl is the future. No more smaller cabs for me
This came out nice, as your projects always do. I was actually considering waiting for another steep drop in price on the Blitz cabs, and just transferring the guts from my NBA Jam into a Blitz cab and putting on new art. I just like the control panel slant so much more.
Not bad at all I would definitely swap out the controls and buttons and j panel and monitor bezel I hate their branding all over I want it to look legit. also I seen a guy buy some mdf from Home Depot or Lowe’s for the front panel
How did you get the LED light bar out of the cabinet? I'm guessing you just did it before you put it together? Also, for the monitor, i would recommend putting electrical tape along the screws to prevent shorting out of the BOE monitor (i'm on #2). Thanks for making this video, it was really helpful
Watching this made me want to keep my XL (still in box) and do the upgrades to improve. However, I noticed the height difference on this vs the Marvel/Capcom cab right next to it. I'm assuming you raised it 4" which is what I do for mine. Is it an obvious difference and feel when placed next to each other? Thanks 19k!!
Since the XL cabinet is a few inches wider than the 3/4 cans, can a larger monitor than 19/20 inches be used instead? I’d like to go as big as possible if it fits. Thanks!
would have loved to see a before picture to compare, also the side art is ugly. I'm guessing you have it between other cabs so you don't have to look at it, lol

Woooh that puuurdy, skills baby!

What artwork did you go with?
Looks pretty slick. Nice work brother. Now you just have to find some authentic nba jam vinyl art work for the side panels.
Jack of all carpentry, sparky, and master of haha
Looks absolutely great so much better!

BIG improvement, but the cabinet still seems misproportioned. I don't know Fox, it's weird...hope they make a deluxe with light up buttons.
Looks clean man and so much better! Yeah I would have went with the dual coin doors for all 4 players. But I understand the cost involved. lol
An authentic side vinyl kit would’ve been killer! But it looks much better now for sure🎉
Looks great. Should have been done this way from the start. Little things make all the difference
Looking great , definitely shall do , but refuse to pay £599 ! Sterling here in the UK……still praying for a sale 😂🕹👍
Arcade1up drops the ball on the one yard line every time.
Hello 🦊👊 great mods. Looking good my friend 😉
I'd do the side art too. Got dell monitor arriving tomorrow for GT. Looks like it's gonna take some time.
Looks good
Love the way it looks. Ever consider blacking out the J panel as well? I think it would look sick plain black the entire way to the control panel.
You should hav had screw hole covers on the list super cheap and makes a big difference!
God damn Fox that looks so much better, good job man! DM me the screen details
Thanks Mike.
Nice work as always 🦊👊🏻✌🏻

Yes, I removed the light bar during assembly.
Good tip about the electrical tape.
Thanks for supporting the channel. 🦊👊🏼

It’s a big difference in height as well as width.
What panel do you call the one, right above the one you did all black? If you do that all black too. I think it would look awesome.
Looks great!

So now that you have nba jam xl is it worth the purchase or should I go with mk2 deluxe?
When replacing the monitor is there still pixilation? Or did this fix the issue completely?
I think your a less is more guy
I’m a more is more guy 😂
I love that front panel
But still great mods as always
OG NBA Jam cabinets only had 2 coin slots so yours is more authentic than if you would have done two coin doors.
Much appreciated 🦊👊🏼
Do u have a link to pc monitor u used?
Is there one on ebay or another site that I can find a good monitor to swap for nba jam shaq?
After having it completed. Would you rank this one above blitz
Yes. I do like the Blitz game more than NBA Jam but the XL form factor is great.
No lit deck protector?
Does anyone know if the shaq cab has the micro USB on the pcb like the 3/4 jam cab so you can get ethernet via the micro USB to USB adapter. Thx
Does it come with a lifter
I need a new deck protector. Where can I buy one from?
Not sure. The website I used doesn’t carry one for this cab.

You would have been better off with a real coin door.
1up doing anything this year? Haven’t heard shit
I just hate the art on the side
I put have Happ competition joysticks and Sanwa buttons with Cherry micro switches on my NBA Jam XL 🦾
