Wouldn't the board being mounted to metal at 19:40 short something out? even 1up when they mount the PCB in the metal box thing they dont put it directly on metal anymore they used to back with the gen 1 cabinets but they eventually starting putting like black sheets of plastic and or plexi inside and then putting the PCB in metal housing Also if i wanted to do the light up coindoor mod from retro530 is this mod compatible with it and if not how would I make it work would i just use a USB hub?
The beauty of our HDMI boards is they come with a plastic mount that keeps it from shorting and screws right into the A1up screen holes like we show. There is a 12 volts switchable port on the encoder board and also USB ports in the gaming box that can be used for lighting up coin doors and such.
@@BuyStuffArcades so I have a question would it be more cost effective to just build one of your guys racing cabinet kits and make that into a Cruisin world with your driving box or does it make more sense to go the 1up fast and furious mod route and do it that way? Can yall do a video of the sit-down conversion i am gonna build a cruisin world through yall eventually but i wanna know what kind of rabbit hole im going to be going down to do it and convert it to a sitdown
Hi, I have just installed this mod in my Fast n furious cab, works great but my question is that the fast n furious game is not included in the games list which I don't get as this mod is a fast n furious mod for a fast n furious cab. Is there a reason for this or am I missing something. thx
@@BuyStuffArcades Thankyou for replying. Is there a likely time this will come out and what type of price range would it be. When you mean PC upgrade is that basically putting a pc in the cabinet and getting rd of the other modded parts I just installed. Just asking for information. thanks
@@winge-dogjones2492 It's a 15 minute swap upgrade from the kit you have now. We haven't announced pricing yet, but we're working hard to keep it affordable. RR/OutRun is first and that will be available soon. Then we'll be converting it to F&F.
To anyone that's done this mod, how do games like F355 challenge play? That game is a 6 speed manual game in the arcade. FnF is only a 4 speed. Do you just shift up and down like a tiptronic transmission or does it only run through 4 gears? That game also came with a clutch. I'm assuming since its the dreamcast rom there's no need to clutch. Really want to do this mod but a) loving my FnF cab so far and b) waiting for their pc build and hoping for FnF to be on there but the arcade version (along with many others hopefully). F355 was on of my favorites in the arcade.
Does this version run any different than the outrun or ridge racer mod? Is it any better or any added games? I’m just trying to determine if I should get ridge racer for $450 tomorrow.
The games list is similar between the two mod kits. The F&F has the 4 way shifter and more buttons and doesn't require an amp, so it's a bit cheaper mod as a result with a few extra features.
LED buttons can be used, yes. Best to use buttons with 2 pin JST connectors like stock, and separate power for the lights. The 3 pin JST connectors on some LED buttons won't interface with our encoder board. (Or the a1up encoder board for that matter.)
@@bssmith235 No, that is for the stock A1up speakers which are NOT wired like a normal aux port. You can plug the soundbar into the HDMI audio port directly. You will need to adjust your volume on the soundbar then, and not on the control deck.
So wait….you lose the main game? The games are not in addition to f&f?? You may want to put that somewhere on the order page and make people aware before they buy this.
Our Mod Kits replace the main PCB - that is how it works. You can't run both at the same time. We have the full games list linked right on our order page. Our upcoming PC Build upgrade, however, will have F&F and lots more.
can we buy just the drive with the software or do we buy the entire pc? I'd rather not have to purchase hardware at a markup when I can build my own pc. It's the software and the encoder that I want.@@BuyStuffArcades
