I find it hilarious that Jenna was in the show "Stuck in the Middle", where she compared herself to Wednesday, as the Middle Child. Many years later, and now she's literally Wednesday!
11:34 Xavier spent the entire season painting a mural of a raven in flight and Wednesday's types of visions make her a Raven, and Xavier's Hyde paintings overpowered him and attacked him. So I think he has a psychic connection to the living subjects of his art when he is draws actual people, so he ends up capturing a fragment of their personality. Sort of how in the Victorian era, portraiture was held to be able to capture the soul of the subject, à la Dorian Gray. (Mystery is: what did Xavier paint as a mural in town that caused Tyler to fly into a rage and attack him?)
it's the way they geve her the blandest love interests and she didn't give them any sign she was interested and they were both like Wednesday i love you like babes no
don’t wanna be “that” guy but Wednesday isn’t normal… 😂 she expresses interest on a completely different spectrum than that of everyone else. though, yeah, they were bland.
She can't be principal and the Devil at the same time, had to quit one of her jobs lol. In all seriousness though, I wish her character had stayed and been developed more, I love Gwendolin Christie
While I do wish the side characters were more developed, I think it makes sense because Wednesday canonically puts herself and her mission before everyone else. Since the story follows Wednesday, this detail makes sense whether intentional or not.
I remember Morticia warned Wednesday about Goody, therefore I think she won’t see Goody anymore because Goody is a part of her now and is inside of her and may try to take over later but she hid that fact intentionally from Wednesday.
Yess!! People aren’t talking about that enough. The creepy smile she gave before “healing” Wednesday I feel like she’s gonna be possessing her throughout season 2
Wednesday is definetly not interested in romance. I believe Jenna said something about not wanting the, "love triangle" trope to be in it but obviously, it was included. But it felt like the romance aspect kept jabbing itself in. I feel like the whole thing with Tyler & Xavier was sort of a lost cause. I just don't see the chemistry between either of them with Wednesday.
The romance always annoys me in stories like this. Like wow, you interacted with a girl now you have to love them. Especially when Tyler thought they had something going on, she literally only asked for favors why did he think he was entitled like that?? Then they started this dating thing just because of his wishes. LMAO I'm still mad about that, but yes I agree . I've also seen the idea that she can be aro, and ppl were so angry ab that! Because it's not in the "musical...” but I like it!
I find it really funny that Wednesday's ancestor was called "Goody" because that's actually just an honorific of the time. It's like someone being named "Professor". Really jarring to me at first lol.
@@fluorescentadolescent2189 well the crucible is set during the 1600s which is when the character of goody lived i think? in the community and time the crucible was set in, women were referred to as ‘goody’, like the first comment said as a kind of honorific. so while there will be women in the crucible called goody, that is probably more of a reference to the times they lived in and they have real names alongside that. i mean i didn’t write the show so i’m not sure, it could be a direct reference but i think it’s more so just mimicking the 1600s puritan communities than the crucible specifically?
she looks like a who when she was in the middle of transformation, and then her wolf form looked like the character models from the alpha and omega movies XD i dIED
I thought it was a solid season and loved Jenna as Wednesday but I agree character development was far and few. Bianca was pretty much forgotten about in some parts. Them making Wednesday and Enid entertain these men they had no chemistry with was criminal imo. Moving forward I want a new writing team because if not I think it could fall into the repetitive Sabrina/Riverdale supernatural YA type show.
@@mrs.lovely5437 😅 it depends on if you like those shows. I liked them both at the beginning but after a while the storylines became worse overtime and I feel like Wednesday could go that way if they don’t get a new writing team.
@@TheShannonShow I saw the chemistry when Tyler started to show that he accepts Wednesday as she is. He plans the date in a crypt, he knows the only "horror" for her would be a girly, popular movie, he understands she's trying to push people out just because she thinks she'll hurt them. I wish he was killing unknowingly, like in a trance, and that what he felt for Wednesday was real. This would make the story more complicated than him just being a cliche villain.
I think Bianca is one of the many reasons why I don't like Xavier 😅. Xavier is too high and mighty. Like he breaks up with her because he doesn't trust her powers (something she can't control) yet asks her to use her powers so that he gets over Wednesday? Sorry but how selfish do you have to be to ask that of a girl you know likes you? Especially one who you literally broke up with because of her powers? Anyway, I don't want Bianca to end up with the mayors son ...he is so bland
Wednesday, no doubt, may be one of Netflix’s best original series to date. Jenna Ortega has really went far and beyond to do complete justice to the character of Wednesday herself.
I geniunely think that without jenna ortega, this show would be subpar at best, but she definitely carries this show with her presence and makes it amazing.
yeah, I thought that too and it makes sense, but that's my point, we didn't get the explanation we got some bits information that we can put together and draw a possible conclusion, same thing with Crackstone, he probably got magic because he was resurrected by magic, but that's just a theory. We also don't know why Morticia says that Goody went too far with her revenge, because we just know that she k-lled Crackstone which in the scope of this series seems very reasonable and all these "plot points" - the pilgrim's magic, Goody Addams, Xaviar's hyde dreams - were kinda finished in season 1 so there's really no reason for them to be explained in season 2. Maybe Xavier's powers could be, but not the rest.
The show was amazing. It has the full potential to be a netflix hallmark show. I just want to see more Catherine zeta Jones because Catherine zeta Jones. Whatever Tyler and Wednesday had was cute but the twist in the end just was like the end of it. Xavier, that poor child was throwing himself onto her for her to not only completely ignore his advances but to put him in jail. It's a great show and jenna Ortega has done an amazing job. Waiting for s2
Tyler is actually quite a tragic character. Tyler wasn't always a monster, until the Botanist literally groomed him to be Hyde. At worse he was just a bigot to outcast, making pranks at them, but when the botanist showed him her mother was an outcasts, he started changing his perspective. Moving away from his Outcasts Hating friends. Unfortunately the botanist controlled him and a Hyde's nature is to be loyal to the one who broke his shell. In time, Tyler became more intertwined with Hyde and liked it more.
@@rachewl Yeah like when Weems is disguised as him, and Laurel is like trust me and she gets close to me it creeped me out sm. Hmmm laurel is kinda being a groomer and its so uncomfotable
i need a deep dive on tyler because how did i never see it coming the whole series how desperate and unsuspicious he was to Wednesday the whole season when she told him she was looking for. monster and HE was that monster and I had no idea until he switched up in the end. And if he/thornhill were the evil ones then why did so many random/innocent people get killed? why did they kill random drivers, truckers, the therapist, etc? it doesn't make sense.
I found it hilarious of how Xavier kept throwing himself at Wednesday without anything sticking. Tyler and Wednesday were endgame but that twist fucked me upppp 😭. This show is so good and I am impatiently waiting for s2 announcement which it SHOULD be. This show is literally iconic 💅🏾 PS: Wednesday literally has the best roasts and insults EVER 🤣😭
I was expecting the twist. It seemed like they are going in the direction of having Wednesday and Xavier most likely dating and Tyler seemed to jive something had to be up 😂
I love everything about Wednesday EXCEPT her love interests. They were both the same flavor of bland for me so I really hope they get more development next season (and aren’t paired with Wednesday again).
I don't want Wednesday to end up with anyone. She gives me aroace vibes (she even says she doesn't care about love in the beginning of the show) and I don't think the creators should force her with anyone just because romance is a must in Hollywood.
@Tory T THANK YOU FOR ADDRESSING THIS. people really think this is just some netflix original and are twisting this ALREADY MADE CHARACTER intro something that fits into todays quo. I don’t care if she ends up with someone or not, but i don’t think making her ace would fit very well.
this is such a good show. I have already watched it twice. It is the perfect mixture out of scary without being overally scary. It is exciting without given your sleepless nights. It is just perfect
f*ck xavier and tyler love story the TRUE love story of this season is the love of FRIENDSHIP!!!!!! wednesday would literally be DEAD (again) if it wasn’t for enid wolfing out and saving her and eugene’s bees saving her from the gun!!! i teared up a bit when her and enid finally hugged😢
Don't forget that part when Bianca intercepted that crazy crackrock with the sword when he had Wednesday pinned giving her a chance to rebound and take the final blow to his heart.
My favorite character is HANDS DOWN (no pun intended) Thing. Who knew a sentient hand could pull on one’s heart strings in that way. Also, having this show come out during November time & the scene where Wednesday dresses as a pilgrim to sell fudge to the German tourists REALLY reminds me of Addams Family Values, particularly the Thanksgiving play.
No because I was literally team no one until Tyler was like “ how does it feel knowing you’ve lost “. I did the most unnatural gasp. 😮😮Like I knew he was sus but how the actor completely changed his demeanor really got me . That’s when I started to like Tyler more.😂
I guess it was OK. However it was super predictable. I also didn't like that Wednesday didn't have a clear moral code. Like it's OK when she kills, but not when someone else dose.
Yeah, the whole idea of the Addams Family works for a goofy movie, but not so much when you try to get deep with it. Like, she says she murdered people before, but then gets shocked when she thinks her dad is a killer. The same can be said about the school. In that competition on ep 2 they say there's no rules and one boat even tries to kill Enid and Wednesday with an axe, but when a student dies on campus (Rowan) they were all alarmed. And why couldn't the Stones and the Scales use their powers in that competition? It doesn't make much sense
@@erikperhs_ it’s because they used cartoon logic in a real life setting… in the Addams Family movies, they succeeded by actually staying true to what they are saying… in Wednesday, the cartoon logic just doesnt work… like how Gomez said Wednesday’s fencing strokes were an essay of perfection, but lost to Bianca… or to what you just said… about them being surprised about murder, which is something they should be proud of
The last episode had me going through the seven stages of grief 😭 after Wednesday got stabbed i really thought anything could happen, and knowing that Tyler was the Hyde im on the edge of my seat waiting for what happens next. This show is definitely one of my favs now and the executed it so well. Cant wait for the next season to arrive!
When Tyler said “how does it feel?” I was like what? How does what feel cause I thought he couldn’t remember when he transforms into a monster. so when he switched up then said “ to lose 👹” I almost choked on my Pepsi oml I was taken out 😭😭
Tyler is the has the typical nice guy persona that really set you off when you see him, ones that facade fall off you can clearly see the monster, and it seems that Laurel not has as much control over him that she trough that she had in the end, that he can become the monster at will, that make him even more dangerous, he a literal monster, metaphorically and literally.
I started thinking after the show about why Tyler would work under evil teacher and started thinking that since nevermore banned hydes and tyler's mom went to nevermore (and was a hyde). That he blamed nevermore because his mother wouldn't be dead if instead of ignoring the problem, they helped her. This got him beginning to help her and then he got a taste for murder as in Jekyl and Hyde the Hyde grew stronger the more he transformed. I hope next season they explore Tyler and his purpose more.
This show literally just made me feel like I was watching ‘Wednesday enrols I’m Monster High’ and honestly? Even tho it’s not, It’s still the best monster high media we’ve gotten this year
spoiler alert. I suspected Marilyn/Laurel immediately she recognized the Nightshades logo because how come a normie would know a secret society from years ago if she's new to town/school? however I thought she was the monster hahaha
i love wednesday. jenna ortega did an incredible job, and her expressions and performance were top-notch! the actors/characters, chemistry, the music (*space song* i flew), the visuals and positioning of wednesday and the shot with "w" in "fire will rain," HOOKED!!! although, the thing that concerned me *-spoilers, spoilers-* was how tyler was revealed in the beginning third act with the crackstone house and the vision, but that only was the little of damage they put in my heart (i love mystery/thrillers). overall, wednesday was phenomenal and the build of excitement with the trailers turned me out! i'm excited for what they have in the next season!!!
I think I read somewhere that Jenna said she hopes in season 2 they take a backseat on the romance in it as she feels Wednesday isn't the type to want romance as she cares more about like crime and stuff I didn't mind the romance I just felt for a character that has been portrayed as to not be interested in boys since the beginning it felt like it was just shoved in there for the sake of it
Personally the love interests felt very forced and just "Eh." It looked like Tyler was very much projecting his feelings and sort of Wednesday just being confused cause she hasn't really felt that way towards anyone, like I said it felt forced. Enid & Wednesday's friendship is lovely! In an interview, Ortega in response to someone asking if Xavier + Wednesday may happen now: "I think it would be nice to see a platonic relationship between the two of them, its rare for us to see healthy platonic relationships between girls and boys" (not exact words but paraphrased and def agree). Personally I headcanon her as AroAce (specifically, Asexual Demiromantic or Asexual Grey-romantic) a lot of those scenes with Xavier / Tyler and that confusion of their attraction was just TOO relatable as an aroace myself. Sorry for this long tangent. Honetly if they pair anyone with Wednesday as a relationship for a new season, I think her and Enid would be really cute. Anyways, love love love your video analysis of shows!! One thingy left: Loved seeing this Hispanic representation but unfortunately the actor that plays Morticia is white, and keeps playing characters that are Latine... Its weird how they cast nearly the entire family as POC and then the mom was cast white.. | AH OKAY: also when Thing grabs and holds Enid's hand when she detransforms back to human after wolfing out it was so sentimental and cute
I think that Wednesday could be demiromantic. I don't want her and Xavier to end up together because childhood friends to lovers is predictable. I see her and Enid as potentially queerplatonic. If Wednesday ended up with anyone, they should fully understand who she is and not try to change her. They also should also be interested in getting to know her without strings attached. I think that the more Wednesday develops meaningful friendships, she could also develop healthy romantic relationships
@@RandomSkyeRoses Yes!! I rewatched the show recently and def see the queeplatonic relatioship of enid and wednesday moreso!! - Also YES pls flesh out characters and not just have them to exist to pine over wednesday who is clearly not interested LOL. @@acephantoms I felt bad for Wednesday after what happened with Tyler. She gets her first taste of romance only to find out that the guy she liked was a psycho
i was so dumbfounded and confused when i watched if the first time that i didn’t pay attention to the clues but now they’re so obvious. he panicked and acted so nervous whenever wednesday got one step closer. i didn’t like the love triangle tho
I shipped Wednesday with Tyler because there was a real sense of progression with his relationship with Wednesday, unlike Xavier who was just sort of perpetually around Wednesday without changes to their dynamic. Tyler and Wednesday's chemistry took off with the Legally Blonde date, he was so clearly delighted that he could do something fun for her! Total simp, I stan. However, even though I like the twist that he's the Hyde, it didn't actually give his character depth: he went from Blandly Nice Good Guy to Blandly Cartoonishly Evil Monster. I wish there was more complexity to his character development, instead he is once more shown to be two-dimensional and the relationship was a lie so I lost the sense of progression I enjoyed. Fingers crossed S02 fixes that
I also see how their relationship could progress. He’s a homicidal monster (allegedly, we don’t rlly know if he killed cause he wanted to or because he was ordered to), and Wednesday is kind of into torture, serial killers and stuff. It’s kind of a match made in heaven. Murderous monster x sociopathic sadomasochist, it’s an interesting dynamic that I’d love to read fics about😅
I agree. That date was the first time anyone other than Wednesday's family showed they understood her. And so I hoped I was wrong about who was Hyde... but nope. And that jail scene closed that door for me HARD. Though I finally realized why they chose the actor. He kinda was bland before then he was amazingly creepy when he was outed.
@@kawansiesquad6659 true but he tried to kill her? I just want more of an explanation, like why did he try to get close to her and then turn on her, was it all part of the plan or does he genuinely like her until he gets activated by ms thornhill to start killing? like i just want to understand 😭
@@minimalistvlogger3467 ya I get that, I don’t rlly ship them in the show, I get more aroace vibes from wednesday. I just wanna read fics where they flourish cause their dynamic is interesting😅😂

wednesday was so cute a great tv show to end the year,,,,xavier and tyler were SOOOOOOOOO annoying to me like i sighed every time they came on screen!!! i never understood why they both felt entitled to be with Wednesday and acting like she was leading them on (before the kiss) like it was just weird af to me
I def think Xavier's like art power is mostly secondary, I think he is probably a Raven like Wednesday only that he has visions in his sleep rather than while touching things
i’m hoping they shut that down in ss2 bc he can not stay bitter for two whole seasons, he would be so much more interesting if he was written to be a friend rather than a love interest.
I think the beat thing about this show is that they show you how powerful Wednesday is only to show us that in the end to win she needs friends: Meaning without Bianca she couldn't beat Joseph. Without Thing and Fester (arguably) she wouldn't be able to crack the case
Disagree, it would be so cool to see an autistic coded character falling in love, I think she just shows her affection differently and processes emotions differently
Everything aside, “Wednesday” is actually a pretty amazing show. But liiiike, are we going to ignore the fact that the monster looks like a whole zombie from “Plants vs Zombies”?
In my opinion Bianca wasnt type casted and she can EASILY be in my top 3 faves (Bianca Wednesday and Enid) I think it’s good she had character development because it makes her character more complex (especially compared to Tyler and Xavier lolol) my point being she fit the role perfectly.
No but I will never get over that twist the way I literally knew the Hyde would be Tyler but I didn’t wanna believe it cause I lowkey loved his character like it was actually evil from the writers
Omg thanks for saying it, Xavier is sooo weird. On the other hand I enjoyed Wednesday and Tyler relationship because as you said, he’s always been direct and I loved the scene where he openly confronts her after she invited Xavier to the dance. Communication is something we don’t get to see in teen dramas, but it can be that simple🤷🏼♀️ Loved your review!
No cos cause can we appreciate the fact Jenna prepared for this role by learning German, choreographing Wednesday's dance, learning the cello in a few months and never having blinked in front of the camera while portraying Wednesday. 😭👑🌠🤯🤌👁👁...damn forgot she learned how to fence too, Jenna truly a diamond 💎 being polished 😭
lol you can’t just learn the cello in a few months it takes wayyy more time and constant PRACTICE to actually play an instrument well esp something as hard as the cello. i’m sure she mostly learned the basics which is cool
@@majeda_a I didn't specify she learnt the entirety of it and she certainly didn't learn the basics just to pull off one of max richter's four seasons Vivaldi pieces like c'mon you know how hard it was to learn how to play the song she did? And she was playing a different song before she played one if the four season pieces before the fire erupted on the statue, so she learned more than 1 song or "the basics". Bottom line she's talented 👏 get over it
I feel like because Wednesday said “ofc the first boy I’ve ever kissed…” gave a perfect opportunity for there to be a queer love interest with her next season
one of the best things about this show was definitely the friendships!!! i know they primarily focused on Enid's with Wednesday but my fave friendships in the series were hers with Thing and Eugene (beekeeper guy). Wednesday went out of her way to visit him in the hospital and he was the first person she explicitly calls a friend iirc. their thing is referencing hive code and it's very heartwarming. Wednesday overtly cried and was ready to murder someone for stabbing Thing. i really liked the friendships in this series
I kinda don't want Wednesday to end up with anyone to be honest. And like Jenna said: there are far too few represeentations of girls and guys with good platonic relationships
I really like the monsters in the show. It could have been scary or realistic but they choose to give us some cartoon monster and I love it. The first time we saw the Hyde and we saw his goofy eyes, that was hilarious ! Enid's wolf was adorable too. We're not suppose to be afraid of monsters because everybody is kind of a monster. It was a really good first season, I can't wait for season 2
CANT BELIEVE YOU DIDNT TALK ABOUT EUGENE and had the *audacity* to forget his name! He was my fave clearly, ugh my heart just melted for this cute little nerd boy finally making a friend 😭😭😭😭
I disagree. Not every goth girl needed to be queer in that sense. I didn't get romantic vibes at all from Wednesday and Enids interactions. She had More chemistry with the guys even tho it's one sided.
8:36 LOL Tyler was cool but i found it weird how unlike everyone else he never once got angry with Wednesday about her constant manipulation, i mean even with her birthday date dinner where she tricked Enid and Tyler, Enid literally moved out and he just when on his merry way decorating a tomb with fairy lights and then Lo and Behold he was the monster which make sense. Apart from that i did like them a bit I'm just interested in getting to know his true character, i still can't tell how much of him is actually BAD and how much is other influences. With Xavier i'm really interested in his family backgroud and his powers.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE HYPE??? When it wasnt jump scaring you it loooked so funny!!! the eyes OMLLLL And the transormation is hilarious, human body and just the eyes i cant-
I really enjoyed Wednesday. My friend recommended it to me during class and I went home and watched it over the span of two days. It was so good and the actors really pulled it off. For my predictions, in episode 8 when Crackstone disintegrated his ring dropped on the ground but no one picked it up so I think that might be something involved in season 2. Love this show so much tho. But Xavier should probably get over Wednesday lmao
I loved the mystery aspect I was sussing out everyone ngl I thought the hyde was Xavier and the master was laurel (got that one right at least) we never cleared up Xavier's connection to the hyde???
@@sonjathewitch5266 I highly doubt that tbh. He is probably connected to the things he draws. He probably drew Tyler hanging from a rope or something out of jealousy and unknowingly became connected to the hyde or something LOOOL
I think the show is pretty good but the final episode kinda made it fall apart for me a little bit. I just feel like the answers we got really don't live up to the mystery. Also I will forever be disappointed by the fact that Wednesday willingly kissed Tyler. Cmon girl this isn't you snap out of it
I didn’t ship Wednesday with either Tyler nor Xavier. They were soo bland. All the guys except for Eugene were unworthy of their respective love interests.
Yeah, Xavier is very bland, some people say that is the worst character of the show, Tyler had the nice guy facade, but ones that facade fall off, he was really a monster, metaphorically and literally, and his father wanted to blame the outcast and not look at his own son.
This is now my favorite video about the show... also im glad i wasnt the only one that saw enid and ajax and went WHY, there is literally nothing there HELP, i would rather watch a romance between enid and wednesday
Sometimes I also think is because the actors themselves have not yet felt this way towards someone, because they are too young and don't have enough experience to draw from. It's hard to pretend you have chemistry with someone if you've never really tried it yourself. Some child actors live very sheltered lives. Again it could be the wrong casting.
is it just me that actually wants more of Xavier, he’s a very interesting character, like just look at his drawing abilities, he has a dad which is like famous, he also gets visions in his dream, yet we didn’t get alot from him, also people forget the fact that Xavier and Wednesday have actually met before, and he liked her then as well, I hope they give us more of Xavier, he’s such a sweetheart
Thank you! Plus Xavier and Wednesday parallel Morticia and Gomez. They both first met at a funeral and Wednesday also saved Xavier's life and proved his innocence, just like Morticia did for Gomez when they went to Nevermore.
I think Wednesday had no chemistry with Xavier or Tyler but she definitely had some w/ Enid, not to mention the queer baiting of Netflix advertising stuff such as “Wednesgay” then giving us a relationship between a 16yo and a 18yo. Tbh I would be thrilled if wenclair was canon but I also love the idea of Wednesday not having a love interest.
Wednesday and Enid dont match… even the entire Elites of Nevermore outcasts couldnt handle Wednesday torturing Tyler… and torture is Wednesday’s love language… i just dont see Enid taking pleasure being tortured… like how only Wednesday can bully or torture Pugsley as him caring for him
No, bro I was thinking the same thing. I feel like there where more sparks btw them after she found out he was a killer 😂. “ 😐wow my first boyfriend turned out to be a serial killer😐”
I was expecting the teacher to be involved so I was not surprised, but as for Tyler ?! I was SHOCKED !! I never had a doubt about him, I tought he was 100% nice
I think they blurred out their use of the word “outcasts” throughout the story… like at first it was outcasts as in the menace to the society outcasts… but later it’s just school for peculiar children outcasts 😂😂 they were just normal kids who had powers…
How did you feel about Uncle Fester? I loved that the only time Wednesday gave a real smile was when she saw him. So sweet.

Sort of how in the Victorian era, portraiture was held to be able to capture the soul of the subject, à la Dorian Gray. (Mystery is: what did Xavier paint as a mural in town that caused Tyler to fly into a rage and attack him?)
Maybe something featuring Tyler's mother
it's the way they geve her the blandest love interests and she didn't give them any sign she was interested and they were both like Wednesday i love you like babes no
LMAO TRUE.
don’t wanna be “that” guy but Wednesday isn’t normal… 😂 she expresses interest on a completely different spectrum than that of everyone else. though, yeah, they were bland.
There's a lot of girls acting like that tbh. Sometimes you need to ignore that ;)

How
While I do wish the side characters were more developed, I think it makes sense because Wednesday canonically puts herself and her mission before everyone else.
Tbf that feels like it would be on brand for the family. Their hand is named thing lol
I haven’t read the crucible but I thought it was a crucible reference?
@@fluorescentadolescent2189 well the crucible is set during the 1600s which is when the character of goody lived i think? in the community and time the crucible was set in, women were referred to as ‘goody’, like the first comment said as a kind of honorific. so while there will be women in the crucible called goody, that is probably more of a reference to the times they lived in and they have real names alongside that. i mean i didn’t write the show so i’m not sure, it could be a direct reference but i think it’s more so just mimicking the 1600s puritan communities than the crucible specifically?
Every time she said her ancestor’s name was goody I was like “no that’s just what they call her it’s just a title 😭”

Bianca is beautiful and she deserves everything, we need more!!!
I absolutely agree! I was so happy when it became clear that she wasn’t just a one-dimensional mean girl villain. More Bianca please!

Yesss when she yelled at Xavier it was a such a slay yess you deserve sm better
I think Bianca is one of the many reasons why I don't like Xavier 😅. Xavier is too high and mighty. Like he breaks up with her because he doesn't trust her powers (something she can't control) yet asks her to use her powers so that he gets over Wednesday? Sorry but how selfish do you have to be to ask that of a girl you know likes you? Especially one who you literally broke up with because of her powers? Anyway, I don't want Bianca to end up with the mayors son ...he is so bland
I'd love to see Pugsley and bee kid becoming besties
Wednesday, no doubt, may be one of Netflix’s best original series to date. Jenna Ortega has really went far and beyond to do complete justice to the character of Wednesday herself.

I feel like we never got a proper explanation as to why Xavier kept having dreams about the hyde... like... for why?
his dad is a seer, so xavier probably has visions in his sleep
Yea I feel like a couple things weren’t really explained properly. Like why did that pilgrim villain have a magic staff and how did he get it?
yeah, I thought that too and it makes sense, but that's my point, we didn't get the explanation we got some bits information that we can put together and draw a possible conclusion, same thing with Crackstone, he probably got magic because he was resurrected by magic, but that's just a theory. Maybe Xavier's powers could be, but not the rest.
probably in season 2
yeah and why he showed up after the hyde attacks like wtf
In time, Tyler became more intertwined with Hyde and liked it more.

i need a deep dive on tyler because how did i never see it coming the whole series how desperate and unsuspicious he was to Wednesday the whole season when she told him she was looking for. monster and HE was that monster and I had no idea until he switched up in the end. And if he/thornhill were the evil ones then why did so many random/innocent people get killed? why did they kill random drivers, truckers, the therapist, etc? it doesn't make sense.

Fr… and for someone who says she has a professional background on unaliving, all she ever did in the series was miss 😂😂
LMAO was also dying at the little pink poof on enid’s wolf form 🤣
I started thinking after the show about why Tyler would work under evil teacher and started thinking that since nevermore banned hydes and tyler's mom went to nevermore (and was a hyde). That he blamed nevermore because his mother wouldn't be dead if instead of ignoring the problem, they helped her. This got him beginning to help her and then he got a taste for murder as in Jekyl and Hyde the Hyde grew stronger the more he transformed. I hope next season they explore Tyler and his purpose more.

i love wednesday. jenna ortega did an incredible job, and her expressions and performance were top-notch! the actors/characters, chemistry, the music (*space song* i flew), the visuals and positioning of wednesday and the shot with "w" in "fire will rain," HOOKED!!! although, the thing that concerned me *-spoilers, spoilers-* was how tyler was revealed in the beginning third act with the crackstone house and the vision, but that only was the little of damage they put in my heart (i love mystery/thrillers). overall, wednesday was phenomenal and the build of excitement with the trailers turned me out! i'm excited for what they have in the next season!!!
I’m convinced the actors who play Enid and Wednesday being Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers ship Enid and Wednesday together 😂
🤦🏿♂️
I think they have stated in one of their interviews that they kinda do😂😌
I think I read somewhere that Jenna said she hopes in season 2 they take a backseat on the romance in it as she feels Wednesday isn't the type to want romance as she cares more about like crime and stuff I didn't mind the romance I just felt for a character that has been portrayed as to not be interested in boys since the beginning it felt like it was just shoved in there for the sake of it
Personally the love interests felt very forced and just "Eh." It looked like Tyler was very much projecting his feelings and sort of Wednesday just being confused cause she hasn't really felt that way towards anyone, like I said it felt forced.
I think that the more Wednesday develops meaningful friendships, she could also develop healthy romantic relationships

i was so dumbfounded and confused when i watched if the first time that i didn’t pay attention to the clues but now they’re so obvious. he panicked and acted so nervous whenever wednesday got one step closer. i didn’t like the love triangle tho

@@majeda_a I didn't specify she learnt the entirety of it and she certainly didn't learn the basics just to pull off one of max richter's four seasons Vivaldi pieces like c'mon you know how hard it was to learn how to play the song she did?

Tyler was cool but i found it weird how unlike everyone else he never once got angry with Wednesday about her constant manipulation, i mean even with her birthday date dinner where she tricked Enid and Tyler, Enid literally moved out and he just when on his merry way decorating a tomb with fairy lights and then Lo and Behold he was the monster which make sense.
Apart from that i did like them a bit
I'm just interested in getting to know his true character, i still can't tell how much of him is actually BAD and how much is other influences.
With Xavier i'm really interested in his family backgroud and his powers.

I really enjoyed Wednesday. My friend recommended it to me during class and I went home and watched it over the span of two days. It was so good and the actors really pulled it off. I think the show is pretty good but the final episode kinda made it fall apart for me a little bit. I just feel like the answers we got really don't live up to the mystery. Also I will forever be disappointed by the fact that Wednesday willingly kissed Tyler. Cmon girl this isn't you snap out of it
rightt
I didn’t ship Wednesday with either Tyler nor Xavier. They were soo bland. All the guys except for Eugene were unworthy of their respective love interests.
Yeah, Xavier is very bland, some people say that is the worst character of the show, Tyler had the nice guy facade, but ones that facade fall off, he was really a monster, metaphorically and literally, and his father wanted to blame the outcast and not look at his own son.
This is now my favorite video about the show... also im glad i wasnt the only one that saw enid and ajax and went WHY, there is literally nothing there HELP, i would rather watch a romance between enid and wednesday
same same same!
It was so strange to see than Wednesday had "boys problem". IDK feels like so out of character.
And she not really wanting it 😂
I think with Ajax & Enid there’s a chance you could be thinking of Ginny & Marcus from Ginny & Georgia. Preppy girl in love with skater boy.
is it just me that actually wants more of Xavier, he’s a very interesting character, like just look at his drawing abilities, he has a dad which is like famous, he also gets visions in his dream, yet we didn’t get alot from him, also people forget the fact that Xavier and Wednesday have actually met before, and he liked her then as well, I hope they give us more of Xavier, he’s such a sweetheart
Thank you! Plus Xavier and Wednesday parallel Morticia and Gomez. They both first met at a funeral and Wednesday also saved Xavier's life and proved his innocence, just like Morticia did for Gomez when they went to Nevermore.
Mad props on your black and white intro--you nailed it. Great analysis, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Wednesday and Enid dont match… even the entire Elites of Nevermore outcasts couldnt handle Wednesday torturing Tyler… and torture is Wednesday’s love language… i just dont see Enid taking pleasure being tortured… like how only Wednesday can bully or torture Pugsley as him caring for him
Is it just me or did Wednesday and Tyler have more chemistry after she found out he was the hide 💀
They had a thing where you’d go to their site and sign up for something before the show came out and they sent me a Nevermore crewneck !
I think they blurred out their use of the word “outcasts” throughout the story… like at first it was outcasts as in the menace to the society outcasts… but later it’s just school for peculiar children outcasts 😂😂 they were just normal kids who had powers…
