Future renditions of Savage Jho must have his counter reworked if not completely removed. His iceborne fight is amazing, but his counter makes him the easiest he's ever been, if not the easiest threat level 3 monster in this game. Because of this, I go back to 4u to really experience the threat that he once was. I REALLY hope that his counter gets removed. The power creep is also part of the reason why his counter is way easier to trigger, since we're dealing way more damage than when iceborne initially came out, when I used to fear savage. I love iceborne to bits, but I hope that in rise, even if there's power creep, that they balance the monsters' unique counter thresholds and whatnot to not be abusable. Clutch claw plays a big role in this as well. I hope all these things don't return in future games
Hey akan for CB main, have a u like a tier list of when we need to fight with SA or SAED for monster ? For me i play sometime SA or SAED but i don't know what is the best on all monster exist :/ like i play with how i feels but i want to know
@@TheHabibOfMankind I agree, if you know the monster you're fighting, and understand the weapon and your preferred playstyle, literally anything works.
SAED is kind of dead. Only monsters its definitely better for are: lunastra, the diablos'es, Namielle when wet, blackveil Most of the time it just can't keep up with savage axe
@@phenix2403 In pure dps, what you say is true. But it takes greater skill commitment than just charging and slamming. If people don't want to play that way, I don't think its fair to say they aren't playing optimally. The game gave us options, why not use them when people see fit?

That just a feature for charge blade called a guard point. You can guard point when entering axe mode, entering sword mode, and the savage axe swing. A gaurd point increases your gaurd level by 1 and if you have red shield it will do a bit of damage
Amazing cb user. Btw what causes devil jho to do the charging attack that leaves him stunned for very long? I see him spam that move during speedruns but he doesnt do it as much for me unless im using the storm slinger.
That attack is his counter and he uses it when enough dmg is dealt to one of the parts of his body. Hitting him during that animation causes his brain to go "brain.exe has stopped working" for a moment.
You really only need to weak his stomach and get him in the first stagger. While that stagger you do enough damage on his stomach to let him Claw stagger again or he does his counter move where you just need to hit him with anything for the stagger. Again, go for the stomach, and stagger him again.

Tier lists are trash on this game. Playing anything any way is effective. Literally any weapon will kill monsters quick if u optimise ur gameplay

Unique mechanic to Deviljho. Deal damage to him during his counter and he falls over.
This is going to sound really stupid, but why does that Savage Deviljho glow so brightly? Is that a mod, or something in settings? Because I want it.
