I loved how you could go back to the old graphics or the new graphics.
I was right. I love playing it in classic. It takes me back as a kid when I used to watch my brothers played this on the original Xbox.
4:00 they could, they did it with H2A. The difference is that for H2A they made custom models that fitted the originals instead of reusing everything from Reach like they did for this one
Yeah but it makes sense halo reach is before 1 but the models are accurate to the lore

Why does the shotgun have a model based off of a COMPLETELY different weapon
At least 343 learned their lesson with CEA and we got the masterpiece that is the Halo 2 Remaster; which stays very true (for the most part) to the atmosphere and style of the original game, while looking fantastic in modern graphics. Plus they also made custom textures instead of reusing old textures and it makes me wish they would go back and give CE a proper remaster.
I grew up on Crash 2 and 3. 1 came later and then I also got an Xbox. Halo 2 being my other favourite game, next to Crash 2.

As for the classic multiplayer not being in the game, 343 said they didn’t want to split the player base because reach had just come out a year earlier and halo 4 was on its way out. So it didn’t make much sense to have 3, reach, CE, and 4 all have different player bases
Also basically halo 3 ODST multiplayer had all the MP maps included

Did you see that they're adding cut content from ce and 2 to mcc? For example cut enemies and weapons for ce and two cut levels for 2.

My biggest problem with Anniversary graphics is definitely models not lining up with the hitboxes. Trees are smaller but retain the og wider hitbox, walls that you clip through, rockwalls, etc.
The atmosphere is second place in that regard. It looks good, but it doesn't capture it.
Exactly as you said, pretty much. But I find the hitboxes the most infuriating
The invisible walls can be pretty annoying, thankfully Saber mostly fixed this when building the world geometry for H2A.
The "layer of paint" thing about the protruding wall when switching between visual styles is just bizarre. You'd think the game would try and position you in the right place to make the transition nicer and for it to just synch better. Cheers for going back to this. This is on sale now, so I might get it. I'd love to play co-op, but it's up to a buddy. If he gets it I'll get it too, if not I won't be getting it.

I haven't played Halo growing up, but I recently got into it. I don't know which visual set I prefer playing with. The updated graphics make the games look more modern, but I also find the og graphics appealing.
That's an interesting take on the graphics. I completely disagree and I like the new graphics far better, but I get your reasoning.

I think most fans agree, the new graphics look great, especially for 2011, it may look pretty, but it's lost that original artstyle. And so i always opt to play with the original graphics on mcc, hell, i even like to boot up my original pal version of halo 1 on my original xbox.... yeah 25fps aint that bad really 😂🦊

can someone tell me how to replace the halo 1 original and anniversary edition of assault rifle's sound with maybe the one from halo 2? all assault rifles in there sounded like marching band's little drums. if you show me the name of the sound file, maybe i could bring the modded one out in the open directory which was the case in most modding.

Honestly feel a lot more negative about this game. Was just a rushed mess with a bunch of poor decisions which hurt peoples perception of CE to this day. I'm glad they have finally fixed classic graphics on MCC all these years later but it should have never turned out the way it did in the first place. Anniversary graphics can look nice at times but I'd never say it is worth it especially for your first time through.
I recommend watching Noodles video on it as he does a better job of explaining everything wrong with this game than I ever could.
