I did not have weight loss, loss of appetite, dark urine, jaundice, or vomiting. My symptoms included bloating, loose stools, excessive sweating, stomach and back pain, nausea, and exhaustion. I had been complaining for a long time, but was left feeling like it was all in my head. Physicians need to listen more to the patients. Sure they are the medical experts, but the patients know their bodies, and know what is normal and not normal. I had to be my own advocate! I kept pushing the issues, and finally my doctor ordered a CAT scan. Had she not done that, things would have turned out worse!
Sadly, physician's all too often tend to jump to the "anxiety" diagnosis And over look an accurate description of factual symptoms presented by the patient. And once they do that the patient becomes typecast in that role on their medical record Which further increases a longer delay or even denial of a proper diagnosis
Hi how are you
Thank You for getting the word out Doctor. If my 36 year old daughter would have seen this a year ago she might still be alive today. She passed away in May 2022.
So sorry to hear that……commiserations
Sorry to hear about your loss.
My early symptom was itching of the palms of my hands and feet, especially at night. Then I started getting little spots all over my body. Found out my bile duct was blocked.
The best, clearest explanation I’ve read…thank you!
Thank you for life-saving information.
Great explanation. Thank you!
I've had an upper GI this year, a lower GI last year, an ultrasound and blood work but nothing was found. I have some sort of mass in my upper abdomen with pain in that area that goes to my back, pain that goes to my flank area, nausea, weight loss, and I can only sleep on my side. This has been going on for over a year now but still no answers. I just hope and pray to God its not some form of Cancer that could've been detected but was missed.
Sure hope you're ok too! 🙏
I am sorry to hear that, please consult your healthcare provider soon expressing your concerns. Best of luck. Scans (CT or MRI) play a crucial role.
Try to go for a blood test circulating tumor cells. It helps in early detection.
Sounds like gall bladder
I am having a CT in a few days - I asked for it instead of an infrasound
Going for an ultrasound tomorrow. GP says the results of the ultrasound may speed up the wait for a CT scan. Pain in abdomen and backache, high levels of amalese, new onset pre-diabetes, itchy legs and constant feeling of fullness and bloating. Current wait for CT scan is about four months, but could be much longer. It is not only awareness that needs raising, it is the length of the diagnostic process. One CT scan, early in the process would save time, money and lives.
Wishing you the best. I agree, an urgent CT would cut down the wait. Fingers crossed and prayers.
Thanks for sharing, appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it
THANK YOU.
Thank you🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
I have NETS. Small. They say to wait and watch. Why?
It is acceptable to watch and wait for Well differentiated Neuroendocrine Tumours of the pancreas which are considered to be good prognosis (not likely to spread) and of a small size (2cm or less) after biopsy confirmation. It is important that the team looking after you are experts in managing NET. Please see my playlist on NET

Metastatic ca with ascites, blocked duodenal bile vomiting how to reduce the tumor size of pancreatic head without chemo, is it possible to use radiation
Unfortunately radiation therapy is not likely to be effective in reducing the primary tumour size.
The healthcare team ought to consider utility of duodenal stent to help control symptoms of stomach obstruction.

Best of luck and sincere wishes.
@@thesurgicalscholar sir for stent also not suitable because the patient already has a blockage in lungs due to covid.. so the surgeon refused to do stenting procedure... is there any option to reduce tumor size so that patient can eat also stopping the bile vomiting, how about oral chemo will it helpful?
I've been having severe pain in my stomach n in my back for about a year now, I had a CT scan but my pancreas seems to be ok, does that rule out cancer? I also had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy
I cannot comment on individual patient presentation. However, in general, the scan is reassuring, however, the CT has to be carried out according to the appropriate protocol. The radiologist reviewing the scan ideally should be experienced in diagnosing pancreatic cancer.
Lastly, if there is any doubt, a gastroenterology opinion on the cause of pain (including all other causes of pain could help). Less commonly, an endoscopic ultrasound is sometimes performed to to clear up any doubt.
