This band makes the most soulful music. It makes me feel like I'[m alive.....really alive! And to watch the sweet emotion omitting from this beautiful guitar player's face during that quite memorable solo....well, lets just say it made my night....and on Valentine night - home alone! I quit feeling sorry for myself, poured a glass of wine, lit a candle and put on my dancin' shoes and I'm goin' on a Soulive mussion starting here. Whose with me?
I am a music writer who lives in the Califonia desert. I mostly write about desert (stoner) rock...until Dumpsta Phunk or Karl Denson't Tiny Universe comes to town......and then I'm at a show. I saw Souilive at High Sierra Music Festival several years ago and they made my show. Danced in a barn til the sun came up. One of the tightest sets of pure magic I ever had the pleasure of dancing my ass off to. I want some Soulive vinyl.....does that happen?

I did and I found some gems. I love this band for so many reasons. Soulful beyond belief and they color outside the lines.....so there is that element of the unexpected. No matter where you are when you hear them....you want to break out in dance.....just beautiful musical spirits.
