We need a dose of this every day to keep up sane. Thank you JC and wonderful band!
Composed in honour of Prince George of Denmark, 2nd son of King Frederick III of Denmark. Also Prince consort to Queen Anne of England, Scotland and Ireland until 1707 and from 1707 Queen of Great Britain and Ireland.
Das ist neben Händel, Lully und Carpentier einer der besten Barockkomponisten und Virtuosen
Also love how it's like "ladies first" at the beginning, they totally rock.
즐겁고 기쁜 행진곡 감사합니다
Just beautiful. This is real music that touches and moves you.
A very gifted group of musicians, for sure!
I hope I may be forgiven for mentioning that this piece achieved immense fame in 1940 when the BBC played it, in one of the old slow arrangements featuring a solo trumpet, and attributed as it then was to Purcell under the title "Trumpet Voluntary" immediately after broadcasting the news of the surrender of France.
Bravo!!!Perfect sound and style!!
Fantastico.
My God that was absolutely fantastic!
Einfach nur wundervoll
These keyless instruments give us the true sound of the Baroque era.
but not with holes in the pipe
@@WilddiebSchmolkethey sound unbearable without the holes though 😂 way too out of tune

Beautiful wedding processional music; captures everyone's attention and sets the mood for the ceremony. A very popular choice!!
¡Bello! ¡ Hermoso! ¡Magnífico!

Magnífica versión de esta pieza musical
Great!!
Bravo!!!!
Genial versión!
Beautiful, I’m currently working at a rebuilding project of a Catholic baroque church in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) that was destroyed at the Rotterdam Blitz at 05/14/1940 and if the church will be rebuilded and consecrated than i want this at the begin of the Mass.
I am sure the Barocktrompeten Ensemble Berlin would be glad to play in Rotterdam. Here is the link bteb.de/kontakt.html
@@berlinpixels Sorry but i can't write so well in German, only English or Dutch.

Awesome !
Amazing!
Wahre Musikkunst ❤️
I have the same suit of percussion.
Bellissima versione per orchestra.
Bravo
Wonderful! So good to hear it "properly" for the first time. I'll never listen to those slow, overblown arrangements again!
So often these pieces are adapted for the organ. Not necessarily very well.
Elizabeth Smith it’s most known version is a trumpet voluntary, which means it’s written for trumpet + organ, but it was originally written as a piece for harpsichord.
May glory , prosperity and wealth be brought to great and effulgent Denmark where we love and respect and long for

All rise for the bride's entrance.

Anyone else born in the wrong era?
Michael C me
me
Me too
If you were born in that era you probably wouldn't have had the chance to hear this music, so, not me.
@@trebcabb Also, you'd die from smallpox or from an infected ingrown nail, you wouldn't be able to vote and you'd have seventeen children, fifteen of which died before five.
How is this tuning so perfect? Normally the tuning sounds odd when playing with natural trumpets. Was the tuning fixed in post?
sound holes
They look like undercover Secret Service Agents. :)
what is the name of this great stringed instrument?
It is called a theorbo or sometimes an arch lute
@@geoffbolton7803 Thank you, God bless you
Kann mir jemand sagen, was das in der Mitte für ein Instrument ist? Ich habe sowas noch nie gesehen.
Theorbe
Und hier komplett fehl besetzt.
Please can you tell me the song name
It is called "The Prince of Denmark's March" by Jeremiah Clarke
at 0:40 what kind of string instrument is that?
It is called arch lute. It is a very big theorbo. Also called Chitarrone.
I think it's a lute
Name of the church?
This was the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral)
It's a beautiful setting for classical music.

her er london. BBC sender til Danmark.......
Sammenbruddet i Nordtyskland er totalt!
Sounds great but they would’ve never play it this fast in the Baroque period. It’s an English March written for royals, not athletes, which is slower than American marches and definitely not this tempo.
Zachwycajace
Definitely born in the wrong era, but unfortunately this glorious music was only for the very few privileged ears of the wealthy and the aristocracy. No you tube then or other means of mass communication.
