And So I Watch You From Afar is entirely unique in their sound. Tons of effect work on guitars, the bass simply filling in the low end, and Chris Wee on drums steering the band. Recommended tracks are: 7 Billion People All Alive at Once; I'll Share A Life; A Beacon, A Compass, an Anchor; The Stay Golden (Pt1, Rats on Rock, Trials, Mend & Make Safe)
For further listening (and a bit of a less full-on song), try "I'll Share A Life" from their album The Endless Shimmering (which is also, I think, their best sounding album to date).
I did an entire album reaction for ...and you will know us by the trail of dead. And I'd love to explore more of TSoAF. I've only heard Act 1: Chasing Suns and was completely blown away!
A top favorite band of mine, but I didn't really like the first album, which this is on. Their songwriting greatly improved thereafter. I'll recommend 2 songs. 7 Billion People all Alive at Once, from their 2nd album Gangs: it is quite varied, and has a lot of melody, plus the drums and bass stand out just as much as the guitars. And from their 4th album Heirs, try Redesigned a Million Times. They throw in a bit of singing, it's quite catchy, and again has a variety of feels and tempos. I hope you’ll give them a 2nd chance!
this song is such a banger, especially live... If you like ASIWYFA maybe try Long Distance Calling (Black Paper Planes) or Leech (The Stolen View album)
love this band. saw them many times from their first album onwards, they stayed at my place in 2009 after their van broke down. great guys.
Loved the energy, speed, and nimbleness of this track. Its like if Olympic luge were a song.

This last part sounded like a cross between "At the Drive In" and "If These Trees Could Talk". I'm likin' this.
One of my absolute favourite bands. Like others have said, they're one of the best live bands you'll ever see.

love this band, theyre album "an endless shimmering" is on my daily playlist
love this band!
as far as bands with long names go, check out "and you will know us by the trail of dead" and "the sound of animals fighting"

Leech are fantastic, although sonically a whole different thing. I'd put them closer to bands like Mogwai or 65daysofstatic.
This band is ☄️💥🔥🤘🏼😃
missed opportunity to wear a tin foil hat for such video title
