It’s extremely rare for me to go to a gig to see a massive band, and get completely blown away by an unknown opening act. Such was the case yesterday when Deadletter opened for Placebo. Incredibly groovy and catchy tunes delivered in a very charismatic manner. It didn’t really take long to win me over and make me a fan
I'm 62 and I can't listen to this because I'm in an old folks home and they tape my ears shut each night so that I can get to sleep without spiders crawling in my ears. I'll just say I really like this because old age + new music = many, many likes
This band rules!!!!!!! Incredible live show in Amsterdam last Wednesday, just looked up live shows and picked them.. Glad I made that choice! Amazing live performers!
La musique avant tout, mais aussi la qualité du son, la mise en scène, la façon dont c'est filmé ..tout est vraiment très bien! Un groupe qui ne va plus tarder a être connu, j'en suis sûre. Bravo :)
Saw these at the Placebo gig yesterday, really liked the set , they are great live. I liked the cowbell and the saxophone, plus the front guy reminds me of Mick Jagger. Why had I never heard of them before?
When I first read this I was like----what? he feels worse? I had to look up "peor" to make sure I had that right; but then I finished your sentence - very funny!
@@willza_8893 Yeah, chatted to them briefly afterwards and said about the fact Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican were playing in the big top at the same time (and the act before them told the crowd to move over to there!) - one of the worst time slot to play - the people who saw Deadletter got a real treat though - one to remember I reckon
I really thought the band was amazing! the first song I heard from them was the opening of the placebo show and soon I found myself listening to all the band's songs. good job keep it up

Talking to a stranger by hunters and collectors meets Shriekback . How good
this song is like Talking Heads meets The Clash. I love it! And he looks like a young Mick Jagger
hints of lcd soundsystem in that closing percussion too...
@@ThePaulBaines they are awesome! Im in love!
He looks like a younger Jason pierce rather
No, it's just a straight up Gang of Four song
Definitely an 80s vibe on this one.

The Clash meets Talking Heads, I like it, in fact I’ll binge on it!

lots of TC Matic and the guitar riff after the chorus sounds very very familiar, but the song swings my grandmother's pants off

Deadletter, you need to be famous.
And we need more of their music in the states.... Or is there not much in their catalogue right now over yonder too?
Reminds me of The Cravats / Gang of Four, which is high praise indeed.Good job👍
