still a lot of snow! I'll be spending six weeks hiking/ fly fishing there starting on August 11th. I plan on some southern sierra first then move north and do some exploring the upper Kern basin from kearsage pass. after that up to mammoth to go up to thousand island lake glacier pass to banner lakes down to twin lakes and out the north fork of the San Joaquin to reds meadows. I will be using lone pine, bishop and mammoth lakes as resupply and zero days. hitchhiking and eastern Sierra transit for transportation. maybe I'll see you out there!
Sounds a great plan. I was originally going to do the JMT but too much snow & snow melt for the whole trip. Heading out to Thousand Island lakes in a week for an out and back. Definitely day hi if you see me. Cheers 👍🏕️
