IMO the BEST thing about this series is that almost all the fights is won by good strategies / planning / preparation.
Yes, Jin is OP with his side effect. Still no one is just shouting to power up / power of friendship / power of flashbacks.
THANK YOU! People were complaining how the main character, Osamu, is too ‘weak’ to enjoy the series... What clowns. That typical, main character beats all and side characters are trash (dragon ball super for example) is so redundant now. The strategic teamwork in World Trigger is so amazing 🔥
Jin is OP from a support/commander point of view, but in direct combat his Side Effect can actually distract him as he gets too focused on the future visions and forgets about the present. It's actually led to some losses against other A-Rankers in the past, presumably especially Tachikawa.
@@zled6677 personally, Osamu does get on my nerves. And not because he’s weak. I’m all for that that, but the fact that he’s weak and doesn’t know his limits. He’s always like “ I can do it.” When it comes to dangerous missions and stuff but he’s kinda weak and most of the time, he can’t. And I love that he’s the brain of the group, but it’s just 😭😭 like he expects to be a-rank when he can’t even beat some b rank. Like most of the ranking wars, they won because of either luck or Kuga. And without Kuga. The team wouldn’t be very far. But I’m glad that his higher ups are training him and he is getting stronger. It’s really nice to see. I just didn’t like S1 Osamu. That’s it. Sorry for wasting your time😔
Thta reminds me that Nasu Squad attempted the power of flashbacks and failed horribly :(
@@RGA301092 Well.. Jin can be OP from a direct combat point of view as well, just give him back Fuujin. We all saw how the combination of his side effect and his black trigger allowed him to win against 6 A-rankers and we haven't even see him go all out yet.
Most people won’t realize how amazing this scene is, since the guy used Jin’s premonition of him getting cut in half to his benefit, rather than worrying about his future the entire time. He made a plan to involve it, and defeat the enemy. That’s not just optimism, it’s another level of
Imagine coming into this without knowing how trion works. Just watching people getting limbs cut off and not seeming concerned about it.
that's me, never heard of this anime
I honestly already forgot all about the power system in this anime :x
Yea um, why are they bleeding stars?
@@Bobo-tu6ln Its not their real body. Its a body made of Trion for fighting, thats the energy there. If they lose too much Trion they get kicked out and return to their real body.
@@_ThePizzaGuy_ ohhh so is this anime like a sci-fi science fiction?
The amount of thought put into battle strategy in this series is sooo good. It’s so rare cuz you either see continuous one ups (Bleach Bankai) or friendship power (Fairytail) or main characters being the op fighters (Naruto/DBZ)
Right i love world trigger for being a shounen that capitalizes on things like teamwork tactics and strategy even going as far to poke fun of power of friendship, the drawback is they lose a sort of flash and signature other series produces which means they’ll have to really ride their niche of tactics and strategy which is the harder route but i thank them for that
That’s not true. Those anime just happen to be the most popular/known. There are plenty anime with strategy in them:
No Game No Life, Psycho Pass, Kakegurui, Hunter X Hunter, Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (haven’t seen this one yet, but I heard it’s great) etc.
@@TheShadyXL while yes they do have strategy i was primarily referring to shounen anime which rarely have the strategy tactics aspect i was talking about which HxH is the only one on your list that is, even then though strategy is somewhat limited in HxH and more about the uniqueness of the individual powers and the gimmicky nature of aura system and its applications, yes there are times when strategy comes in play but its not nearly the level in which it can be used as a marketing point like world trigger does.
Not to mention HxH still has their capitalization on that flair i was mentioning but its just more individualized and still very very much based on individual increases in power to compensate for issues.
you sir, do indeed spit the facts
@@sorrowfulrose3082 Did you just say that strategy is limited in HxH?
Most underrated Shōnen out right now, people need to stop sleeping on it
i cant wait till the mall rank war happens and people get to see the complete madness that is a high level world trigger fight.
@zFlash_24 yeah, first 13 or so episodes are SUPER slow and uninteresting but after that it’s very entertaining. If you can get through that first part, that is.
@@heath6825 I watched season one a long time ago and it sucked that the main protagonist was so weak I just stopped watching, maybe I’ll give it another go
@@shadowthehedgehog2727 it seems like you don’t get the point of the protagonist then
@@shadowthehedgehog2727 I think you are talking about osamu although he is a main character he is not the only one and he sucked because he is not used to fighting and that is not his main role, watch the entire season and you will see him develop.

My favorite anime finally getting recognition. It's been 4 years since I watched this.
season 2s opening is such a nostalgia trip
They aren't doing themseleves any favors with a season 1 of 73 episodes of varying quality from what I heard
This anime has some of THE BEST action and fight sequences/choreography out there. The amount of thought and strategy is insane, and the animation does a decent job at keeping up. So glad it went seasonal.
well it’s about to stop after this one since we’re caught up. It’s most likely coming back in 2 years though once we’re caught up some more
@@AC-ri2ph sad
That guy: "it's Kuga's tactic"
Me, who last watched season 1 more then 2 years ago: ah yes, that one tactic
It's still fresh how Yuma finessed Nasu squad's sniper like that. He was so slick
Honestly one of the things I live about the show is that not only do people come up with clever tricks, they also constantly steal them from each other.
Konami when being bullied by her teammates for being gullible: sad little doge
Komani in combat: buff muscled doge
Edit: spelling
🤣🤣🤣
Its Konami not Komani and she isn't being bullied, in fact everyone trust and respects her due to her contributions to the team, she is a literal powerhouse... it's all just banter.
@@sacred.r pretty sure thats wut they meant
@@sacred.r replace bully with tease. Which is playful friendly bully.
thats what make her so cute lol
I love how Tachikawa already knew Konami was going to strike, even after sending her to help Murakami. He believed and trusted her fully. For someone like Tachikawa to recognize someone who isn't Jin, to this extent, considering she's from Tamakoma to top it off, just makes it all the better for me. It speaks volumes.
If you watched the episode, he told her to do that when he brought her aside. Probably something like "Split me in 2 when I give the opportunity"
He used Jin's foresight to his advantage, taking the enemy with him
before border was founded to be big it you be small building where mc team works at and a lot them used work as 1 big team younger train with each other etc. alot them already knew and had faith
Well that's because Konami is actually the true number 1 attacker. Other than upper management, she's been in Border the longest and was stated to be an agent before Jin. The only reason she's ranked 3rd is because all Tamakona-1 agents are prohibited from competing in rank wars because of their personalized triggers. Her current rank is the points gained when she used Kogetsu, so it's a little outdated.
@@KeybladeKnight14 she has been there longer, but she isn't number one. She's number 3 attacker after Tachikawa and Jin. She only climbed to number 1 because Jin got black trigger and became S rank and Tachikawa who considered Jin a rival got demotivated because he couldn't compete with Jin now that Jin got black trigger.
The thought when he just thinks to himself "It's kuga's tactic" just ties this all together
I absolutely love this show. The depth that they give all the side characters is crazy, and it all comes together in these fights. Amazing
Kazama earned Levi's seal of approval.
Can't wait until B-Rank wars round 6!
idk if you saw yuga turn into a beyblade near the end of s2
YUMA IM STUPIDE A9IHRFAESOIJOHJDZIGIOD
And he looks like a emo Gaara
I love this scene so much!!! I feel like this scene demonstrates why World Trigger fights are just on another level; 1) It's enhanced in the anime, but instead of taking a break every 5 seconds to explain an attack, they show you what's happening in "real" time. It's only after the huge moment, after the actual cut, that the villain realizes what's happened, and clarifies. It makes the fights seem real, and big moments impactful. And in the same vein, 2) the series uses these fights to *show* you moments of character relationships and development. For those of you who don't know these characters, probably the strongest swordsman in the series, who we've mostly seen fighting against the MCs, allows the best attack from a rival faction use him as a decoy; and they do it with just a few words, letting the moment, the fight, the final cut do all the talking they need.
And that's what I feel makes World Trigger so special! Sure, I love some of the more complex powers and fights from shows like Dragonball, but compared to the mundane powers of these laser swords and funky cube juice, World Trigger seems to be doing just fine :)
World Trigger has great theme of "it's not just about how cool the powers are - skill, creativity, adaptability and experience are vital."
World trigger is such a hidden gem it’s probably has one of the best well planned out fights in shounen no powers up, screaming or constant flashbacks just straight tactics, strategies, team work and experience, binged season one in week and i never regretted it.
Season 2 is pretty damn great so far! They upped the animation, the pacing is good..maybe doing world trigger seasonally is the answer..
Are they going to leave it on seasonally?

When you think you understand your opponent and then they pull something you didn't expect to make you fail your mission
I actually like this since this Tachikawa's strategy isn't new, they tried the same thing with Kazama as the bait against Jin, but they failed
It's cool cause it's the kind of strategy only people on Earth would pull since they've been using the bail out system for so long and many neighbors don't have that. The leader of this invasion pointed that out later on
@@azraus2500 they failed because Jin knew/was familiar/could foresight, unlike gatlin, which makes it even better

Everything in this show happens for a reason, notice how at 00:08 you see the arm bleeding trion but you don't see our guy bleeding then at 00:12 he reappears and for a split second you can see he's holding his arm which is how he was keeping his leaking trion from giving himself away.

You should bro I just finished season 1 last month and it slick entered my top 3 anime’s only bad part about it is they spend a quarter of the show recapping the previous episode...so 70+ episodes really could have been a good 40-50
@@chrisc8102 I mean to be fair, a good chunk of those 70+ episodes are due to the big filler arc that they put into the show instead of keeping it as a side thing. So for those that skip the filler arc(aside from the one Yotaro episode at the very end of it), it very well could be around 50 or so already. There were recaps but I think the furthest those went were like 2 minutes, so I dunno.
Either way I still blame the less needed filler arc for Season 1 having around 73 episodes.
murakami mi favorite char in this series

The strategy makes you feel good when they seem overpowered against an enemy since it's based on a level of thinking which is more relatable than a super power that can get stronger.

It's a good watch! Similar to black clover, it starts a bit slow. However, once it properly sets up its world and plot (takes a couple episodes), it just gets better and better. Very entertaining fights, amazing soundtrack, and a lot of cool side characters that get to shine. The animation is a little to be desired, but it shapes up as the show goes on.
