The amount of foreshadowing in this song for SL is insane.
We should not be surprised, this is Sawano. Just look at AoT music, he pretty much foreshadow the Rumbling from the first's episode music and we have no idea because the manga has not ended yet (we noticed the foreshadowing here because SL manhwa has ended)

To be honest, the more I listen to this song, the more it looks like a conversation between Sung Jin-Woo and Ashborn.
Yeah, "sad you had to wait for me" (Jinwoo) "feels like and eternity" (Ashborn) and there are still other parts of the song.
Lyrically it wouldn't fit (not that it really fit with the scene it happened in) but I hope to god they use this track for the Beru fight against the S class heroes.
I just re-read that shit with this ost and my god its become one of my top 5 moments in manga/manhwa of all time. The dread and helplessness is intensified so well with this track

There's so much meaning in the lyrics.....I'm in shock sawano truly understands the character of sung Jin woo....the weakest hunter of all time who survived to become stronger and level up.
During the fight you can feel his humanity being broken down....."the fact is I killed someone..."there's no going back, you have to be strong in order to survive.....you know what must be done.

Helps that the va coughed up blood after the script because of how much effort he put into his performances
And imagine the anime is still dogshit compared to the manhwa in so many ways. If we get a good adaptation with this setup, OH BOI, but sadly we got something like this and you can see clearly how they had everything they needed and didn't care about the narrative, the atmosphere, the actual action, etc.
Just look what moves he does in the manhwa. WHY IS THAT NOT IN THE ANIME??? The whole leveling aspect got fucked up, because they spoil characters and information for no reason in the first episode, so we don't have the same feeling of actually gaining something each episode. In the manhwa at the end of almost each chapter where he levels up, you get an overview of the actual level, stats and the items he gained. Completly missing in the anime. This is solo leveling without the leveling. This anime is just hollow on the inside, because they only cared about the outside. They literally scammed us out of one of the best manhwa in existing.

Yutaka Yamada and kohta Yamamoto ar god tier as well. Yamada made the music of Tokyo ghoul and Vinland saga while Yamamoto did most of the work for SNK
I mean it still can, it just takes a lot more of, everything really. a great score drastically improves the atmosphere and impact of certain scenes tho.

This song fits so well, in between the painful decision of leaving your humanity behind to survive it’s like people who go into war sometimes you don’t want to take a life but life situations puts you in a moment when you have to become a monster to survive not because you want to but because the system is so fucked up.
All f*cked up systems should be rectified and replaced. This is a Necessity, not an optional decision.
One of my favorite characters in Sci-Fi was Evil Morty. Not because he was smarter than Rick or even because he was always one step ahead of the game, but because he was the only version of himself who was willing to step up and free himself from the unjust system of Slavery that Ricks had forced upon Morty’s. He may done so at the cost of leaving every version of himself behind, but as he said: “You can come if you want, don’t blame me if you don’t”
Every Morty could’ve risen up and cut off ties with their Rick’s like he did, but none of them wanted to. Because they would rather stay with a lifestyle their familiar with (no matter how Toxic it is) rather than leave into the great unknown…. That’s why Evil Morty doesn’t bother saving the other versions of himself stuck in the Central Finite Curve. Cause he knows they would never be able to truly leave Rick behind. They would always run on back to him once times got tough.
That’s why they consider him “evil” for being SICK of the system.

I love how the show has essentially been leveling up alongside Jin-woo. Both in quality and ost. Sawano has been slowly cooking as the show goes on and now we're finally getting to the good stuff.
