- Robin says that she has insinuated herself into Jason's life and she is sorry to disappoint Carly, but she is as common as dirt, selfish, lazy, and greedy and not fit to make Jason's bed, let alone lie in it. She then tells Carly the only reason Carly thinks of love is to use it as an excuse for the inexcusable things that she does. She lies to him, takes advantage of him financially, and emotionally. It’s how she manipulates Jason into thinking that he can’t be a man of his word unless he does exactly what she wants him to do. Carly calls her "little miss perfect going off to Paris to punish him Scorpio". You pout, and think that'll teach Jason a lesson. If I want something from Jason, I tell him. You manipulate him, and made him quit a job he loved to fit into your Martha Stewart knock off cabin, where he was miserable, but finally deserving of you. She then tells Robin she is nothing, but an icy emotional bully. She says that Robin has no one to blame but herself, and to take her sanctimonious butt back to Europe and leave her and Jason alone. Carly tells Robin that there was a time that she wished to be like Robin, well educated etc. But she is so over that. Robin says that what hurts her is that Carly is hurting Jason and Michael. When you got pregnant, it was the biggest tragedy in the world, you would lose Tony, your figure etc. She says that Jason fell for her ploy and fell in love with Michael while she was gone. Jason will never fall in love with you. Carly says that Jason, Michael and her are family, and Robin can't hurt them. Robin says that she will do what she has always done for Jason, love him. She leaves Carly with that thought and leaves. Carly stands there looking worried by Robin's words.

Exactly. She was happy to raise ajs son when Jason & her were in the cottage house & Carly was in ferncliff. Honestly if aj & the q's raised Micheal he would have been much better off than in a mob world in a coma shot in the head then went to prison & got raped. Then he finally connected w/ aj as a young man & sonny couldnt stand it. Micheal was finally calling aj dad. I loved it when Micheal dropped sonny for murdering his dad in cold blood & Carly knew as it was his last words to her. So when Micheal found out he was finally an awesome character in his own right. He changed his name back to Micheal Alan quartermain sadly after like 6 months he ran back & apologized ! Then Micheal again for a long time was just still an appendage to Carly & sonny. Carly even had another baby I think Donna was the Same age or younger than her grandson. Even Micheal & nelle was all about Carly. Sadly it was more interesting cause they totally made Micheal a bore. Last I watched was before covid & I think nelle was pushed off a cliff or ran off & Micheal's story was being obsessed w/ wiley. I have no clue what's going on cause the show was so unwatchable. It was a tad interesting when Brooklyn came back but then more baby stories. Maxie was pregnant w/ her 3rd kid by a 3rd guy & Brooklyn took the baby in some deal. Anyway Micheal did wind up back w/ the q's last I saw. He had been living in the mansion & was a high ranking ceo or president of elq. I think Ned was back too & the very last interesting story was Tracey returning & Monica covered for her committing some crime against Alexis & she took off to Europe. So the point is its sorta funny how the only stability Micheal found was back at his bio dads family & company. He was a mess through the Carson years as a kid to 18. So the people she fought so hard against cause it was all about her libido first w/ Jason then w/ sonny in mob world. It was really sick how the show kept trying to say being an alcoholic was a far worse father figure than gangsters. Aj messed up when Robin blew the lid off the secret. Instead of trying to make Carly a wife & socialite he so could have gotten full custody of little Micheal. Jason was not his dad Carly defrauded the qs by putting Jason knowingly as father on a legally binding document. I recall Jason saying if Robin had just waited less than a year Jason could never be challenged as his legal dad no matter what once the child turns 2. Would not be surprised if Robin knew that & once she saw that Jason loved her but chose micheal& Carly she bounced. I'd have had more respect for Robin if she blew the secret immediately instead of after Jason made his choice. Jason I get had brain damage & did start adapting to a more normal understanding of the world. Like he really thought he Carly Robin & Micheal could all live together. Once he finally got it that Robin understandably was not OK w/ Jason saying " I love u but wherever Carly & Micheal live is where I'm gonna be " I do think Jason if he really was micheals bio dad would have dropped Carly. He def knew that Carly would run to aj if he didn't keep including her in his life. When Jason & Robin have it out he Said it " do u think I'm stupid. Don't u think I knew their was a chance Carly would run to the q's for her own reasons. " this was such a mess. All from a drunken one night stand Carly wrecked so many people b/c it was sick whomever she wanted to be with was gonna be micheals daddy. Aj got to be his dad for less than a year. Obviously Carly only did that cause Robin told. Granted I get Carly was young & a pycho lol & got pregnant while obsessed w/ Tony but she never loved him it was about taking something from poor Bobbie who did nothing wrong. She was a child hooker & gave her up to have a life she could not give her. If she didn't Carly could hsve wound up a ward of the state if a child prostitute w/ no home had an infant. If she was at least honest w/ aj & Said look u may be this baby's dad instead of lying to Tony he was the baby's father. What she did to aj while pregnant was unforgivable.

Robin gives up easily. she could have held onto her relationship with Jason. Jason can't be manipulated by Carly. even with Michael. he won't sleep with her and he won't see Carly anything more that Michael's mother and his friend.
@Muirmaiden Nobody ever calls Robin out, except Carly. Most everybody else lets St. Robin off the hook. It's disgusting & discriminatory. She was not perfect, nor was she all sweetness & light. She could be devious & manipulative & controlling and when Carly would call her on it I would stand up & cheer. The funny thing is Carly's POV may be off sometimes, but she reads ppl very well. SO when she'd say something about someone's character she wasn't often wrong. Although sometimes exaggerated.

As evil and manipulative as Carly was, she's right. Robin did try to control Jason. She saw him as a pupil she needed to teach to become a person and when he started to think for himself and didn't need her to explain everything to him anymore, she had to find other ways to control and manipulate him and running off to Europe every time Jason didn't do something she didn't want is how she did it. Robin was incredibly passive aggressive then. And she told AJ the truth because she was jealous.

Robin had this thing about changing Jason into the person she wanted to be. Also, i would have a problem with this chick defending Tony kidnapping Michael.
Here's what Carly fans don't realize... Robin, unlike Carly, knew who Jason was before and after the accident. Jason showed her kindness before and after the accident. So it's unfair to say Robin was trying to "change" Jason, considering the fact that she was trying to integrate both Jason Quartermaine and Jason Morgan into one. Carly couldn't handle that. Carly only knew Jason Morgan and that was the only one she knew she had control over. She resented Robin's ability to know a part of Jason that she wasn't ever able to know, herself.

Or how about the man who was already emotionally distraught over the death of his daughter and Carly cruelly ripped away another child bc she prefers Jason to be his daddy? Robin understood that he didn't need prison just help. And the very fact that Bobbie bought Lucas on the black market and fought dirty to help keep Lucas from his aunt is right up there with Bobbie telling Robin to move aside for a fake family to appease her trash daughter. Carly's been jealous of Robin since day 1, the moment she realized Robin was Jason's girlfriend she's had it in for her, she's crossed boundaries she's had no business crossing. JnR's relationship had zero to do with Carly but she made it her business. But you go off... Defending Tony was nothing compared to the many times Carly's gotten off for premeditated murder, identity fraud, cheating men of their children bc she feels she's oh so entitled. She's vile and obnoxious. Robin may be bratty at times but she has the love and support of the town, whereas Carly's on her knees begging and manipulating to get what she wants.

Carly was right for once. She never lied to Jason. She always told him the truth when it ca.e to Michael. That is something that Robin and Sonny never understood. They thought Carly was using Michael to control and Manipulate him and that just wasn't the case. They never understood Jadon and Carly's relationship. They made there own judgements about what they thought was going on and both Sonny and Robin tried to Manipulate Jason into letting Carly go. Robin by telling Aj that he was Michaels father. And Sonny by seducing Carly. Both of them betraying Jason. At least Sonny admitted his mistake and was Sorry but Robin standing on her moral post declaring how right she was instead of being honest. She wasnt even honest years later when she went to see Jason In 2006 and told him that she was right for telling AJ. But the truth is when she saw Nicholas months before she was honest she said she didnt do it for AJ or Michael she did it because she was jealous of Carly and she wanted to keep Carly away from Jason.

I agree! She had no problem not telling AJ he was the father of Michael as long as it was just her, Jason, and Michael. But as soon as Carly came back around after being in Ferncliff, Robin just had to tell AJ the truth, a truth that wasn't hers to tell. Carly once asked Robin, "Just because it isn't safe for you to make a baby with Jason are you jealous of mine?" Now that was harsh, but I believe Robin was jealous of Carly. Robin always acted like Carly was a puppeteer that controlled Jason and Tony, but that was never the case. Jason and Tony knew their own minds.

Carson happened because SB was leaving and VM had left. The writers pivoted from Jarly to Carson as the supercouple because Carson became so popular. Then, Jarly became roadblocks that the writers could add for Carly’s and Jason’s relationships. What’s funny is that everyone complains about how Carly tries to ruin JaSam, but Sam is really a Carly knockoff.

When she fell in love w/ Carly's family, she added the full custody & joint custody garbage in the mix. But all along this is what she wanted, but she was too much of a cowardto own up to her true motives. So she hid behind righteous indignation, and came to Carly's knowing she'd get the fuel she needed to follow thru. She just underestimated Jarly!

I hate what the writers did to Robin and Jason. The breakdown of Robin over time was painful to watch and the writers made her out to seem as tho she snapped. Jason cheated on her and choose Carly time after time even when he said he loved Robin. The 90s was the best era for GH.
Carly played right into Robin's hands. It's clear to me that robin went to carly to get the adrenaline & steam to go tell aj. She sat back & listened to carly rip her apart all so she could get herself mad enough to blow carlys life apart. Since robin was angry & bitter over losing Jason, carly really should have played this one better . Maybe being fake nice & sorry they broke up. I mean if someone had info on u that would blow yr world apart ( thanks to jason telling robin overestimating she was some saint that would never betray him ) maybe dont attack them and low blow them. Maybe robin was going to tell aj no matter what bit I find it interesting that after her break up with jason she went to see carly , whom she figured would gloat & dance on her & Jason's relationship in ashes. Robin is so full of it. She did not tell aj bc it was the right thing. When carly was gone , Robin loved playing house with Jason & Michael. She even talked future plans with him. About how they would all go to europe someday or when Jason said " carly said we should get Michael a Cat " & robin said " we could have one for him " he only replied " yeah maybe " that told robin Jason was really seeing him Carly & Michael as a unit & she was on the sidelines. It also flipped her out how she saw the comfortability jason carly & micheal had. And she did start to get jealous of Micheal taking her spot as number 1 in jasons life. Like when sonny joked " I see it's all about ur dad " & robin with sarcasm dripping " u bet " or " michael will wake up demanding another chapter from his book " years later she said to carly " u ruined our relationship when u came along with ur bastard son " that was shocking. And finally telling Jason that she told aj bc she didnt want carly to tell aj & hurt jason yet she did it first. Jason did call her out on that making no sense. Plus they broke up so jasons life & carly 's were not her buisness anymore. She also told the secret & blew town so she didnt have to see the aftermath of what she had done.
I will say carly should have acted all feeling bad & been nice to robin. It's not smart to shred someone who has a secret that will blow u out of the water.
Oh yeah I remember when Robin made the bastard son remark to Carly, I was shocked, considering Robin supposedly loved Michael, yet she would call him a bastard. I don't know why Carly didn't just punch her out for that alone!

@jasoncarly Thanks! I LOVE your channel b/c I've always been a fan of SJB's Carly & Jarly 1.0. It was Carly & Jason that got me hooked on GH in the first place. Your channel is the best!! I used to be a psych major & the depth of character Carly has was built incredibly by SJB. So being able to go back to these episode gives me greater appreciation for the character. Besides Carly is so relatable. Jarly is one of the best relationships on TV. Jason & Carly are two of the best characters. Thanks!

I think I sided with Carly because there was an honesty about her that spoke to me. Robin had some good points but she was NEVER honest about her motivations. She wanted Jason to be who she wanted him to be and not who he was. Carly had so many flaws but she was honest in her motivations. Even with all of her many lies and plotting. So looking back I get why I sided with her and could not stand Robin. Especially after Robin outed Michaels parentage. She did this for the most selfish reasons. She never respected any of Jason’s choices and wanted to control him under the guise of protecting him. Sad because I think this is what ruined Robins character for me and I never liked her ever since then. Love these actresses though. They are so amazing,,
I love this speech from Carly to Robin - of course, the latter had to blab to AJ - but in doing so, she destroyed what she and Jason had. Jason and Robin were never the same after this and they were never romantically involved again. Jason has remained close to Carly (despite some intervals where they didn't speak), but no so Robin.

@TheOnly1tonid, so true! Robin is far from perfect or a saint. I could never stand her, although now on the show I can tolerate her much better. But she's so judgmental, people say Liz is bad, but I think Robin is far worse in that regard. Liz at least, acknowledges that she is flawed (as does Carly) but how often has Robin taken a good long look at herself? I think Carly did a good job of throwing it in Robin's face here, although it's obvious she didn't take it to heart. She should have.
Personally, I cheered when Robin told AJ. I don't care if it was for spite or if it was to protect Jason they had it coming. Imagine your boyfriend letting your entire town think that he cheated on you and had a baby with another woman. a woman who's disrespectful and hateful. Who has been lying to the people who you grew up with is going to be moving into the house that you all share together. I would have made an announcement over the PA system at General Hospital

I wasn't watching then but have an idea. I know Carly was manipulative and a bitch and a little evil but, in the end, Jason was Carly's touchstone and the one who truly loved her despite everything she did. Somehow, although he had that awful accident and his life was changed, he had that goodness in him and sometimes he only showed it to Carly. It was these early days of struggle that forged them together as soul mates. Not in the traditional lover soul mates way, but the soul mates that are so close that not even death could separate them.

I would hope so.. also Jason and Sonny always bragging about how Robin's honesty was one of her best features yet Jason expected Robin to lie about Michael.

A lot of people in the comments seem very biased in their assessment of this scene. Look Robin did a shitty thing by revealing the truth to AJ. But you can have more than one reason for doing something. Yeah it might have been out of spite and jealousy, but it could also be that she felt it was the right thing to do. She grew up surrounded by lies and a part of her (I’m not saying how much) probably felt that it wasn’t fair of Michael to never know the truth. And look, she’s not entirely wrong about Carly either. I like Carly. But she’s always believed herself to be more special than she is and often doesn’t care about the carnage she leaves behind. These two have always read one another, maybe not entirely accurate in their perceptions. Robin can be a hypocrite, she’s called herself one too. One of her issues is she does what she feels is right even knowing the potential fallout. Whereas Carly often does what she knows is wrong, believing the consequences won’t apply to her. Luckily the two of them have come to a truce over the years and left behind their antagonism. Neither were right or wrong in this situation.
Very reasonably stated. IMO, once Robin realized that she wasn't going to be able to remain with Jason on the same level, Carly was not temporary the way Jason expected in the beginning, Carly was never going to move out, away, etc., cuz Michael, and keeping the secret was just delaying the inevitable, Robin saw no reason to keep the secret anymore. Robin was under no obligation to keep that secret ever. So telling AJ wasn't ending her relationship with Jason, it was already over for all intents and purposes, and why should Robin care about the fallout, the effect it would have on anyone including Jason. So maybe Robin did try to protect/enable Jason as if he were challenged or immature, (although I think she actually saw Jason's detective/law enforcement potential and would have tried to get Mac to help Jason) well not anymore after the secret was out, Jason was a grown man and he had to accept the consequences of his actions.
Robin could have told the truth earlier if it was about "doing the right thing". She only did this after Jason broke up with her and she couldn't deal with his connection with Carly. Robin's jealousy was evident when Carly came back from Ferncliff. She didn't want Jason and Carly to end up together, pure and simple.

Robin made digs at Carly because she couldn't understand how Carly could just up and leave. And when she came home she never spent time with Michael alone, she was only ever with Michael if Jason or Letecia was there, if not she was off spending Jason's money. She never cared about Michael until she could use him. Robin on the other hand attempted to fight her PPD and eventually got help. It doesn't make her a hypocrite. Carly used hers to her advantage to get Jason to do everything for Michael so she wouldn't have to.
@@ahseeuh and Robin actually used what she learned in therapy to actually be able to be the mom she wanted to be while still being Robin, mom, wife, doctor, friend, daughter. Carly used hers as an excuse to be the lazy mom and lazy person in general that we all know she is.

Then she went right to aj slept with him while stalking jasons life and spending the q money the sec age got jealous seeing him just dancing with liz she ran and offered herself to sonny. She was totally fine with the lie when she played family with jason & michael. Once Jason put michael & carly first she dumped Jason than ran to aj after a year.

Jason was shot and gave two shits about his life and Robin wasn't about to stick around and watch him die after she literally watched Stone fighting for his life only to die in her arms. The second time was after Jason told her he was moving out and in with Carly and Michael, but he wanted to keep Robin on the side..uh hello, hell no. They broke up. Her heart was shattered and she knew that once Carly got Jason alone his promises to never touch Carly again would be broken and no way was she going to watch that..Paris was never about punishing Jason although Jason marrying Courtney in Paris on Robin's birthday was cruel.

He said he loved her but " wherever micheal & carly are I'm gonna be " he never said " but I still want to date u" I think that was his way of ending it w/o saying the words. Robin made a decision in 97 to dump Jason & move on to paris. Jason was brain damaged he still loved her but he wasnt gonna change or beg her either. Robin returned & would have gotten back w/ jason if he did not have carly & micheal living w/ him. She thought jason 'a life would not change in the many months she was gone. He agreed to help carly & things took on a life of their own bc carly got ppd aj was dumb & did not do a dna test he just assumed bc the babys blood type matched Jason's it was his. Tony had to rule himself out knowing the blood type did not match carlys or his nor the letter or rh sign. Aj stupidly did not talk to his doctor parents that the letter b Micheal had matched his only he got the (+) sign from carly so he gave up. So the plan was unknown as carly & jason were playing it out until tony or aj claimed Micheal. That did not happen. Then carly had ppd & left town. I agree it was wrong to just dump her newborn preemie with a heart defect who barely survived surgery w/ jason but she had no mom or anyone to help. Her adopted mom had a stroke & she decided not to tell Bobbie & she was suffering. She is very lucky she went to jason bc of shes didnt & left that baby would have went to foster care & seeing how tony obsessed he would have taken Micheal legally I guess that's all moot bc if Jason threw her out she was screwed. She would have had to tell aj I think. Jason actually suggested she tell aj when she told him she was leaving. But she begged him to take Michael & he agreed. He was not ok w/ all this from the day carly showed up. Then while carly was away & jason was alone he bonded hard core w/ micheal. So when robin got home Jason's life changed dramatically. So in a nutshell robin had to at least consider Jason could move on to a new situation that became impossible bc of his vice like grip on Micheal & it was frustrating as hell for robin bc the baby was not his so she had this info that could change things for her & get rid of carly. Maybe if she told aj in april jason may have forgiven her but she waited til over a year to tell so jasam bonded w/ time to where he was starting to lie. After his big soliloquy to carly that he cant lie he was getting good at it like at ferncliff. He was lying all the time & coming up w/ whoppers. I think that made robin nuts too that jason was changing. He was able to lie for Carly & imo that in a way was a good sign that his brain was healing bc he was picking up things. Yea u hang out with a pathological liar like carly ull start lying too. Plus robin could see that Jason was now more comfortable w/ carly.
