Thank you so much for this! I’m sending off my 13 year old son to DC tomorrow for a school trip. We packed his outfits like you suggested. He has adhd and functions fine but he H.S. a hard time remembering all his tasks. He’s sharing a hotel with 3 other boys. It will be easy for him to just grab his clear quart bag and one outfit bag each morning hitting the showers. He also forgets to wear socks, which he needs for the long walks.
He told me I’m a brilliant and clever mom! 💗

Jennifer Dennis went on a trip one time and always pack for myself and my hubby. I forgot pants for him. Not a good thing!

I have watched a ton of packing videos, but yours is a stand out. I love the idea of packing outfits into individual zip lock bags. Not only is it super organized and easy to find when you are at your destination, but it stops you from over packing (which is an area I struggle with).
OK I commented 3 seconds in and now I see the outfits combined and separately stored. GENIUS!

Excellent, per usual. If anyone's ISO a non-plastic option (and don't get me wrong, I love me some Ziploc!) I've used mesh laundry bags that you toss your delicates in. Some trips I sort by category and others by the day. The zipper has started to deteriorate on a few, so it's time to research a replacement ... I've also used pillowcases!

OMG!!! Let me tell you how grateful I am, for coming across your video a week before my trip to Europe. I packed exactly like you. Like you, I'm not a minimalist but I do need organization in order for my trip to go smooth.... I have a habbit of living out of my luggage, regardless of a long or short trip and by far this has been THE BEST and MOST organized way to pack. Not once did I go crazy looking for things.... My husband was wowed with the way I packed this time. My son is going on a trip soon and I will be packing as I teach him how it should be done..I dreaded packing however with this new technique I must say I enjoyed it.... THANKS A BUNCH for sharing your technique!!!!!

I love this video. I am 84 and my routine is very similar to yours! My new challenge is not to check a bag, just 1 carry on, a backpack and small clutch. I don’t want to check a bag as I have to change planes, coming and going. I’ve heard horror stories about you and your bags being separated for days. I think I picked up some really good tips from you, thank you.
I’m never this quick to your videos but I have been watching declutters and organization, pack with me videos, in general so I’m inspired enough to declutter and organize my room when I’m back home from college. I can’t wait! 3 more finals and then I’m home😁
I do the same thing with bags and label everything just like you funny. I make a list four our four family members to check off as they gather their items then I do the rest. It’s so much easier on the trip. I also use a big bag for laundry for each of us. Sometimes I even launder the clothes before we go then repack in the bags if I can because of sand from the beach. I loved the coco bottle for the ear buds! A must have 🌸. I have a ski master list and beach list for the types trips we take. This way I don’t forget something. Love your detail in videos 💕Great Job!
Such perfect timing!!!! I am going on a work trip next week. I LOVE the clothes in sets idea!!! Then you know for sure you have everything you need. I always bring the canister of wet wipes - I wipe EVERYTHING down at least twice - plane and hotel room! I hope you guys had a great trip!!!

This is genius! I will be shamelessly copying this. I can never pack light. Luckily my husband does so it balances out.
Yesss. I have been doing the "separate outfit in zip locks" for a couple of years and i can't remember where i got this idea from. Most videos use packing cubes not zip locks, but it is always great to use what you already have at hand ;)
Love your packing tips! And if you *do* forget something (i.e. Eyeliner) you won't spend time and make a mess tearing apart all your luggage wondering if you stuck it somewhere...you know if it's not in the appropriate bag then it was forgotten. Now I just need to plan a trip. ☺️ (side note: I always live out of luggage on a trip, except for the toiletries...those stay in the bathroom. I think it's a holdover from childhood, that's how my parents rolled.)

I had packed my things in that same manner, an outfit in each zip lock bag......and liked it but I still had to rifle through my suit case. But you shined the light!!!.... pack the outfits from head to toe to include undergarments. Genius 😙💖 I am so happy I saw this video. I love this...I am a flight attendant and probably the worst packer in the world. I always forget pajamas 🤦♀️. I'll definitely be using some of these tips. I especially like the days of the week outfit bags! I can see them being super helpful for my 18mo old's outfits too.

Honestly, This is one of the best packing videos I’ve seen!! I’m gonna try this on my hubby birthday trip in almost 2 weeks. I use ziplocks for small items but never tried putting entire outfit in a bag and pressing the air out; just usually stack each outfit in suitcase but now I should be able to fit more stuff for sure. Awesome video, thumbs up 👍🏾
We love an organized queen. Yaaaaass. I always use packing cubes when I travel or moved into my last 3ish places I used my massive suitcase and packed my dresser drawers into them. So helpful. It makes it’s easier to know where everything is.

I use ziplock bags, compression bags and compression cubes too.... love that you do too ,it speaks to the OCD in me !!
Decanting the creams to tiny jars take up less room than the tubes or bottles, the cold remedy box is taking up a lot of space i would remove it from the box ,plus i use solid toiltries including shampoo , conditioner and bodywash they even do solid shaving bars for your hubbie too which are lighter ,smaller and take up far less space and of course they are not liquid which for flying is ideal! your make up and brush bag would be better replaced by a flat make up bag, i even use clear pencil cases and strong folders instead of ziplock bags for any storage including clothes too. You can get tiny sprau perfume bottles to decant your perfume into which prevents breakage,less liquids and lighter as well as fitting easily within the TSA allowance , you can get little jars in bulk from amazon or e bay ,you can get them in various sizes, you can save even more room. You have to look for large capacity cases in a small size and you could have fit both of your stuff in one case ,i have an IT case which is 110 litres which is a huge capacity but is only a little over 60 cm high!
I know this video was uploaded a couple of years ago but I'm so glad I found this! I'm an incoming international student in Canada and I plan to use vacuum storage bags and a lot more organizer bags and pouches so I can fit everything that I need during my stay. Thank you so much!

I wish I knew about this method when I went to London in 2012!!! I overpacked a huge suitcase and carry-on. Next trip is only a carry-on and personal bag, and I will definitely be using your method!!!
I just took out 10 pounds out of my suitcase and went through my makeup to make sure I did not forget anything and do not have duplicates. Love the laying out idea before packing.

OMGGGGGGGG girl you brought a mini version of everything! I like the way you organize esp those daily outfit bags! You are definitely dedicated and organized!!! It's way more than I would ever want to keep track of but that's why we are different people! Without trying to change your.....organizer's soul....(or at home routine) may I suggest try some products for travel only that do double duty? Like there are face colors that work for cheeks-eyes-lips. Clear mascara for lashes and brows. Foundation or tinted moisturizer with SPF etc. Shampoo with built in conditioner (or co-wash). Deep conditioner with styling product worked in! Coconut oil for hair, face, body moisture! Try to abbreviate everything! I also wonder again this is just me! But isn't it super frustrating to open bags with little bags in bags in bags....?? That would drive me bonko!!! Maybe larger containers with more consolidated inventories of stuff would get you to your things in fewer steps.
Also here is a real world questions in these days of airport security! Don't your unmarked containers of loose pills raise any eyebrows? I thought when you travel everything had to be in its original container.

I have to take several pills a day for a heart condition and carry all of my daily pills in a weekly pill container. I mean, I certainly don’t take the boxes because they take up too much space. Is that illegal? 😳

Thanks for sharing. I put our name on all our bags in our checked bag. In case TSA needs to open it, I want them to know what goes back in my suitcase and not confuse it w/someone else's stuff. Also, I've been taking Codliver oil daily and haven't gotten sick since. I used to get sick all the time. I have my hand sanitizer and wipes in the front pocket because I'm using them all the time. xoxo
I love this!!! We traveled with our 2 children and I put their daily outfits in ziplocks and it made it so much easier!! I just handed the bags to them to get dressed. I labeled them too.
I am using a Nomad Lane Bento bag for travel and this idea of packing things in a zip lock is just a game changer! It makes my life much easier.

I always pack this way too. I also add my favorite fabric sheets to the bag. Clothing smells like it came from the dryer.

I’m going on a trip to Oklahoma and it’s my first time ever traveling by plane so your packaging tips have been beyond helpful, excellent, and honestly on point . I’m like you I always want to bring all my things even if it’s for a one day trip and forgetting things you use is annoying, so I always have my purse packaged with everything and anything I could need or want . I will definitely take your packing advice and ty!

These are some good tips. I usually use store plastic bags but ziploc bags are 100% better. Using that tip. And I take extra bags for dirty clothes. Good idea to have a big garbage bag I like the tip with the shower caps for the shoes. When you showed the wet ones to wipe down the trays on the plane, it reminded me of Naomi Campbell's video about how she wipes down her whole area on the plane. You should see if if you haven't seen it already. What about wrinkling? Do you borrow a steamer or iron when at a hotel or at family and friend's house? Lots of great tips and ideas. I can’t tell if you have no eyeliner on here, or just not as much as you’ve worn before in videos. (I know you mentioned you forgot to bring eyeliner). But, I just wanted to tell you how pretty your eyes look. They look more open/not as closed or small..
Black eyeliner can really close up our eyes when we line both the top and bottom. You look gorgeous, Charlotte!

This is how I pack for tennis league sectionals. All tennis outfits in its own ziplock. Easy when sharing a hotel room and easy to grab an outfit to wear plus grab another for my tennis bag to change midday.

So many ideas! I wish I was this organized- but I’m definitely going to attempt to copy some of this awesome tips. Leaving on a cruise in 2 weeks- however I will have drawers and a closet to spread four my clothes. And then we are spending one night in a hotel. I saw a similar draw string bag for makeup on qvc. I’m going to research it further.
