Instead of airbnb I would check out blocket & qasa - swedish rental sites, also for short term/holiday rentals.bostad.blocket.se & qasa.se (top right you can change the language to english)

Good question! But he adjusted pretty quickly, too and we got our routine as a couple. It almost felt like a total reset when he came here. :)
