There are a lot of similarities between the houou and the phoenix of western myth, but (traditionally, at least), the houou doesn’t rise from its ashes. Magearna is probably not a coincidence, but rather a change in direction. After all, it made no sense as an island guardian when the Pokemon existed LONG before Aether Paradise would have been made. It would have been something of a paradox at the end of the day.
Coincidence: Jigglypuff is based on Kirby. Due to it's shape and floating, but Jigglypuff can learn Mimic (reflecting Kirby's copy abilities) and Metronome (Reflecting Kirby's Mix ability)
Another coincidence regarding Arceus is that he also resembles Absol very much, to the point that people actually thought that Absol is a pre-evolved form of Arceus. Also regarding Erika and the Kimono Girls, Erika also happens to have a Leafeon in both the anime and Pokemon Masters, making her almost like a pseudo-member of the group. Oh and as for Ryme, she doesn't need Skeledirge, her team is very singing-based already, and yes Gym Leaders don't need starters unless they really have to use them. Same thing regarding Roark and Rhyperior, because Rampardos represents the mining theme already along with Bastiodon for Byron.

lusamine's appearance looking like pheromosa is intentional and not a coincidence. like she became so obsessed with ultra beasts after the disapearance of mohn that she dressed up her daughter to look more like one, and she changed her own appearance to look like one too. guzma on the other hand is coincidental
With all the Gen 5 references, especially having Blueberry Academy set in Unova, I assumed it was going to be for upcoming Black and White remakes since we have had remakes of Gen 1,2, 3 and 4 so far and Gen 5 is overdue for remakes. I have heard of the Venonat/Butterfree theory and it makes more sense for Venonat to evolve into Venomoth when both are part poison but Butterfree isn't.
Black and White will be remade in gen 10 because excluding gen 1 every game that has been remade was released in the generation that is equal to twice the number of the generation that the games were in.
@@TheTakato122 I just hope we get a proper remake like FR/LG, HG/SS and OR/AS instead of the untapped potential that BD/SP turned out to be. Every other remake was taking the old games and remaking them in the style of the new generation, but BD/SP was largely no more than a coat of paint. There were glitches from the ORIGINAL Diamond and Pearl present in BD/SP, some of which were even addressed/fixed in Platinum. Pair that with the rumors that ILCA had planned a proper reboot that Masuda ALLEDGEDLY butchered himself so PLA wouldn't be outshined and personally I'd rather we continue exploring older gens via Legends titles than have to settle with these "Faithful" remasters instead of the remakes that so much love, sweat and passion were poured into for the first 3/6 gens (depending on how you choose to label them). I love modern Pokemon no less than I always have, but I hope we never get another mess like BD/SP.
Larvesta’s shiny accentuates the whole concept of it being a Wyrm, which in some mythologies are dragons. My guess is it could be a reference to Arceus being the first dragon.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres aren't their Japanese names, so it's clearly coincidence. Their Japanese names are Furiza (Freezer), Sanda (Thunder), and Faiya (Fire).
9:24 It not just Gastly, but the rest of it evolution line all look like they're linked to other pokemon. Voltorb looks like its possessed by a Haunter and Gengar has long believed to be Clafable's shadow.
Here me out, penny’s dad is obviously Peony, as seen in mochi mayhem where pennys dad says “adven-tour”, therefore peony could be paldean, and named the galarian birds.
The Butterfree / Venomoth swap theory i refuse to believe isn't in some way fact. It might have been an intentional choice rather than a mistake like the theory goes. Butterfree is a bit cuter, so let that be the final evolution of the early bug pokemon, even though it wasn't related. But Butterfree shares too many traits with Venonat to not have been the original final stage. Caterpie to Venomoth is a little weaker, but i would still argue Caterpie has more in common physically with Venomoth than it does Butterfree.
I don't mean to be That Guy but the Galarian birds were named after the Kantonian Birds because of their similarities to them. It's not the other way around lol. Galarian Articuno was named Articuno because it can freeze people with beams of psychic energy, similar to how Kantonian Articuno can freeze people with ice. Galarian Zapdos is named Zapdos because when it rubs its feathers together it sounds like crackling electricity, similar to how it's said that when Kantonian Zapdos rubs its feathers together lightning will fall immediately after. Galarian Moltres is named Moltres because the aura around it blazes like fire, similar to Kantonian Moltres' well... fire. Nowhere is it implied that they're the "original" versions of the birds. I think you mixed up the pokedex data of Galarian Zigzagoon, which IS the original version of the species.
You know I realized a few days ago that Pokémon hinted at Pokémon legends ZA from the beginning of Pokémon scarlet and violet everyone thought that missing chunk of the map meant we would be going to kalos in the DLC but we never did they were hinting about Legends ZA!
One more thing you missed to mention. The birds all share similar typing to the eevee evolution family. Gen 1 birds have two of three eevee stone evolutions. Gen 8 varients of the birds share the johto evolutions typing. Which can then lead us to say...next eevee evolutions could be fighting and steel. Completing the perfect trio for that pokemon. Fairy steel and fighting. Interesting..as zapdos in galar is part fighting. Connecting the birds to ho-oh again. Who then brought back the johto trio after the burning tower. Lastly, maybe a dragon evolution for eevee as the paradox were all part dragon. 😅 lets see...
There is one more connection between Barry and Bianca that you forgot to mention and that is they both have a habit of running and crashing into the Main character although Barry does this in the games and Bianca does this in the anime
when you look at the poses between lusamine and pheramosa in the artwork you showed along with lilly and guzma they are even in the same pose, just mirriored.
I've got something for you that might be a co-incidence, might actually be an easter egg or call back, and it involves Cufant's evolution, Copperajah. Now, Copperajah is a steel type that is shaped both like an Asian elephant and a squarish tea pot, both hints of an Indian subcontinent connection. However, if you look at Copperajah's markings, you will see one that looks somewhat like the island of Cyprus. Cyprus is so called because it was once a source of mineable copper, its name deriving, if my memory serves me correctly, from the word, Cuprum, the old name for copper...
I hardly think that the thing with the paradox legendaries in the dlc matching the past and future vibes of the places is coincidence. It seemed 100% intentional to me.
It is rather unfortunate that the only connection she ever has to Leafeon is having it as her Sync partner when she's in the Sygna Suit in Masters EX. That Sygna Suit, however, despite being based on Leafeon, has no resemblance to a kimono. I overall find it much more convincing to think that Valerie has a connection to the Kimono Girls than Erika. It just seems like the only reason why Erika wears a kimono is simply because of it being a common dress style in Japan. I'm also curious what that girl who appears to foreshadow Munna's inclusion says in the Japanese version. About the Legendary Birds and their Galarian look-alikes; from what I can tell, the Galarian look-alikes *are not* ever said to be "the originals," but merely Pokemon that happen to look like and share similar abilities; that theory about them having gotten their names from Paldea is very much circumstantial and meaningless, as their Japanese names have nothing to do with the Spanish language, and are merely the Japanese pronunciations of "Freezer," "Thunder," and "Fire."
Personally I think the Area Zero connection is no coincidence considering the real life inspirations of Scarlet and Violet, X and Y based on the Iberian Peninsula and France which...... If you also look at northern Paldea and southern Kalos........ Makes sense.
Gen 5 is the first gen to censor inappropriate nicknames. During the release of the previous gen 4 games, there was an incident at a nintendo world 2009 event in which a hacked pokemon mystery gift was handed out. The mystery gift in question was a gengar literally nicknamed the n word We don't know if Nintendo censoring bad nicknames in the generation directly after this was due to that incident or not, but I personally dont think its just a weird coincidence. This incident probably happened or was brought to the devs' attention when hgss were too late in development to have censored nicknames added, so instead they added it to the next game in line i.e. b/w. Thats just my theory tho lolol
It is rumored that in very rare situations togetic can evolve into one of the eon twins meaning they are related. Of course little from what I can find is written about this as it was a post I read years and years ago and apparently it is in a book in one of the games but I have never read it nor have I found such book.
By next to Lavender Town, I am assuming you mean through that underground tunnel that connects Lavender to Caledon? After all, Lavender and Celadon are NOT next to each other...Saffron is between the two. So, going to assume you were using that tunnel.
Still, that's only in the English versions. In the original Japanese their names are Fureiza, Sanda and Fieya (Freezer, Thunder and Fire) not to mention he got the details for the Galar bird's dex entries wrong. The Galar birds were named after the Kanto birds because they resembled them, NOT the other way around. It's possible he was mixing it up with Galarian Zigzagoon specifically, as that is stated by the dex to be the original version of the species, with the Hoenn one popping up later, but that does not mean ALL Galarian forms follow that pattern.
AZ and his Floette were both made immortal by the Ultimate Weapon, in fact, following your battle with him at the very end of X/Y his Floette finally reunites with him.

There are only so many things you can imagine when designing stuff. There are over 1000 Pokemon, obviously there are going to be similar design aspects. If some style looks good there's a chance they are gonna adopt a part of it again in another design. Quite a few of these are a long stretch 😂. The cultural impact is obviously there😂 and it's going to be there in future games in other characters too I agree some things can be easter eggs left in/scrapped ideas and we are free to speculate but most of these are hilarious stretches. The Marshadow one especially. Yeah it's wispy design and the eyes a bit similar to Arceus beta. But as I said there are only so many things you can imagine when designing stuff. Some of these are genuinely astonishing coincidences I agree while some are obviously intended to be Easter eggs. I love how the anime handles the Lillie and Nihelego plotline. One of my all time favourite episodes.
Really? I've never heard of the Absol / Arceus connection till now 😳
@@MidnightLugia24 Same, they look nothing alike.
The Stuffed animals + Cards are so sweet man! Congratulations on doing them!

@@unripetheberrby6283 thanks so much!! I appreciate it!! 😊
You forgot to mention the Tree Birds shinies in Galar resembling their Kanto versions.
Wow that's wild with the first league being the last match ash ever had with pikachu and charizard
lusamine's appearance looking like pheromosa is intentional and not a coincidence. like she became so obsessed with ultra beasts after the disapearance of mohn that she dressed up her daughter to look more like one, and she changed her own appearance to look like one too. guzma on the other hand is coincidental
Pittsburgher here. The well known area code here is 412, not 878, so unsure where you got that from.
Fellow yinzer here. It is an area code, just not the main one, obviously.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres aren't their Japanese names, so it's clearly coincidence. Their Japanese names are Furiza (Freezer), Sanda (Thunder), and Faiya (Fire).
Sanda not Sansa.
@@TheTakato122 Autocorrect is always doing that kind of crap to me. Thanks.
9:46 When I saw Cloyster for the very first time I genuinely thought that it was the evolved form of, or at least related to, Gastly
Damn, you really do recycle a lot of content
Nah that aint true. He repeats things sometimes but thats inevitable. Ive been watching for literal years and he keeps it fresher than most on youtube
1:30 missed opportunity to make a ghostfacekilla reference in game
I m mostly confused by the image you put as cover for the video... Zombie crys and chikorita? Nani?

Maybe Erika was supposed to be A GHOST. Her gym could be a private cemetery.
Rhyme looks like Missy Elliot
We love that for her.
Bianca being female Barry makes more sense than Hop is Hau.
What a coincidence! Embit already exists as a fire bunny
In a Roblox creature capture game
I was going to say this too. The area where you find the paradox Pokémon thematically aligns with the designs of those Pokémon? Unbelievable! 🤯
Swear everytime I just let the youtubers ad run by it takes forrrevvvverrr
FINALLY! a youtuber who can spell arceus correctly.
Dusknoir, Zygarde Complete and Guzzlord are the same pokémon 🤯
Erika is a wild one. Thats gotta be intentional and they just forgot about it
Gen 5 is the first gen to censor inappropriate nicknames.
During the release of the previous gen 4 games, there was an incident at a nintendo world 2009 event in which a hacked pokemon mystery gift was handed out. The mystery gift in question was a gengar literally nicknamed the n word
We don't know if Nintendo censoring bad nicknames in the generation directly after this was due to that incident or not, but I personally dont think its just a weird coincidence.
Rhyperior isn’t mining it’s construction in general
By next to Lavender Town, I am assuming you mean through that underground tunnel that connects Lavender to Caledon? After all, Lavender and Celadon are NOT next to each other...Saffron is between the two.
So, going to assume you were using that tunnel.
ArticUNO. ZapDOS. MolTRES. I am SO frustrated I never caught that. Oh my lord.
The Journeys episode of Ash vs Leon most likely wasn't a coincidence considering how it was written.
Except... Leon's name in Japanese is Dande
Wait, THAT'S what shiny Larvesta look like?!
You telling me they built modern Lumiose City 3000 years ago??? Cause I'm pretty sure that's the only way that Floette is showing up...
AZ and his Floette were both made immortal by the Ultimate Weapon, in fact, following your battle with him at the very end of X/Y his Floette finally reunites with him.
@Going4Broke2528 That's WHY his Floette probably isn't showing up; she still hasn't forgiven him at this point.
@@PriffyViole Just because it's a Legends game doesn't indicate it'll take place in the past. For all we know, this could be a sequel to X/Y. Even then, the city of Paris, which Lumiose is inspired by, was founded in the century 3bce, so quite a long time ago.
@Going4Broke2528 Pretty sure I read somewhere that the real-life event the game is based on took place around the same time as Legends Arceus.

There are only so many things you can imagine when designing stuff. There are over 1000 Pokemon, obviously there are going to be similar design aspects. If some style looks good there's a chance they are gonna adopt a part of it again in another design. Quite a few of these are a long stretch 😂.
I'm especially laughing with the Erica and kimono girls one😂 That's ridiculous
The game was made in Japan. The cultural impact is obviously there😂 and it's going to be there in future games in other characters too
I agree some things can be easter eggs left in/scrapped ideas and we are free to speculate but most of these are hilarious stretches.
The Marshadow one especially. Yeah it's wispy design and the eyes a bit similar to Arceus beta. But as I said there are only so many things you can imagine when designing stuff. If something was scrapped the designer might wanna use it again elsewhere
Some of these are genuinely astonishing coincidences I agree while some are obviously intended to be Easter eggs. The Birds one for one makes sense, Ultra beasts too
Game designer/makers are known to love hiding stuff in games. I'm sure there are some hidden Easter eggs we haven't discovered in older games
