  • In this video will be going over how to troubleshoot a condensing unit and a three phase disconnect
We will go through the different phases of troubleshooting which starts at the unit that the issue has occurred by looking at the nameplate and seeing what is supposed to be operating at
Then we moved to the disconnect, make sure that that is operating and that is installed correctly with the proper size wire, proper size fuses, proper size disconnect, the right amperage and voltage
In this video, we are looking at a daikon unit and a Siemens disconnect. I will show you how to open the disconnect while it’s still operating in the on position
Then we’ll go look at the panel to make sure that that thing is correct and go from there
In this video, we used fluke meter and a Wera screwdriver

    Thank you for watching

Good stuff john! I am over in far west Texas, fairly close to you. I agree, looping wires like that can save soooo much time later on, especially if you get a knick in the wire you have some extra. Stay safe brother!

im no pro but, would it have hurt to check the load side voltage? terminal connections, insulation test, as well as coils to see if its tripping on being clogged? or is that more so hvac guys
