Omg thanks you so so so much, I’ve been starting my own RUclips channel for a long time now I could NEVER figure out how all those other RUclipsr capture footage on the screen I always used my phone which obviously recording off screen there’s tons of glares, quality isn’t good and audio is difficult, this helped so so much I can’t thank you enough, I don’t have a headset yet or the capture card but until I save up the money at the least I can start filming you saved my RUclips dream

Is there a way to confirm that you're recording on PS4? I am trying to do my first let's play and I thought I was recording when the icon popped up, but an hour later when I double tapped the share button it *started* recording! Two hours in and I have to retrace progress back to where I lost footage. Please tell me there's some easier way to record in better confidence, thanks!

I have this same issue. I'm thinking of just getting a capture card, depending on how much they are. But if I do find a way to solve the issue you're having too I'll let you know.

You can open the share menu and press "save video clip" then trim it since it saves as much as it can (like the clip is 10 minutes if the clip length is set to 10m)

I always Record with the built in capture card I know you can't use the built in capture card on PlayStation Plus can you Do it with PlayStation now though

I hate it when most of my PS4 games have that "auto save" feature without having the off button,so you can record/back track the perfect gameplay on YT. It really bugs,and annoys me when I mess up the camera,when I hesitate to move,or when i'm not countering the attacks,because I have to record the whole video all over again. This is why I don't record my PS4 games. I wish every PS4 game could back track like GTA V so you can record for your channel.

I use an Elgato capture card along with the Elgato Game Capture software. It's a physical device that plugs into your PC. Everything is handled on the computer end and nothing is downloaded on the PS4
