I regularly soak all my Plastic parts & tires in WD40 while they're sitting in the sun, it keeps plastic and rubber... hydrated, for lack of a better term. The effect on tires (especially on the road) is instantly noticeable and it keeps plastics rods, arms and such from drying out and going brittle. And its a great way to but a nice shine on everything. Thanks for the Movie, Bro 👍🏻
I’m a little late to the party but.. the wd40 deal has been around for at least the 20 years I’ve been playing. I”ve never heard about it contributing to flexibility. That’s awesome. It does displace water, hence the wd and makes cleanup a breeze. I use it after every outing. Great channel, PEACE!!!
Thanks Mike! That means a lot. I try my best to show all aspects. No RC is perfect. This one is already a favorite because it drives and jumps so well. I did change to RPM arms after a few runs because I just like them a lot and have had great luck with them.
CCxRC true man each RC has its strength and weakness that’s what makes it fun bro! Yeah I’ll definitely try the RPM arms! I need to upgrade the diff arms too

Ni c e you got 10 hrs , tonys about on track how i make out w my kraton , i ts mostly my fault if you send it , and drive hard going break s...the kraton pushes arrma line , mainly bc of weight and planted so you able push it
As expected, from Kraton at this point, a fast and fun rig for sure.. But if I was a guy looking for my first RC, and see you breaking an A arm that easily.. I would be concerned... I was a little surprised bud. But it sure held up after that, for a continued run.. Nice run Tony and as always I enjoy the Commentary on it as you drive

Easy fix for Arrma leaky shocks (replace plastic washer that is between the 2x 8mm O'rings with 3x 6/7mm silicone O'rings) 👍 😜 I believe the shocks have been updated now on the new versions and don't leak as bad anymore..
Only issue i had with this truck was the controller, there was a slight delay on it and did replace the servo with a 27kg large torque ecoboost one. So far, really liking the rig

Recently sold my Outcast 4s to a neighbor that I just got into RC and then I bought a Maxx. Enjoyed that for a little over a month and did all kinds of upgrades. But I started missing Arrma. So I just sold my Maxx yesterday and bought a used highly upgraded Kraton 4s. Cant wait to get it. I have some Zeee 7000mah 100C 4s packs that are gonna make the thing rip for sure. I do have a question. Whats your opinion on the STX2? Ive never even used one despite having several Arrmas that came with it. I always yanked it first thing and put a Flysky FS-GT5 receiver in them. The one I just bought has the Spektrum included, but I am most likely swapping it out with the Flysky again.
I don't love the STX2. I don't hate it like some people, but if you have the option to run something better....I would. I'm getting ready to fix my Maxx to sell. Not my style.

Hey all. Awesome video, definitely something to learn here. I am new to RC trucks (have an Arrma Granite) and have a quick, probably "noob" question... I noticed that just like in the video, when I push my car by hand (unpowered) there is the same grinding noise coming out from the "gear-box". I did open it to check on the pinion and the spur... and they both look perfectly fine. Is this grinding noise just normal (caused by the friction) or it should be like super smooth and quiet? Help would be super appreciated :)
K A I received mine a couple of days ago and it’s the same way, It don’t make the noise when it actually drives so I’m sure it’s normal. However I’m having issues with my slipper clutch staying tight, after about half a battery it comes loose and I have to tighten it again. Gonna be shooting some emails later to see if I can get it replaced under warranty
When they put a sticker that says Don't just bash. Blast. And then... 05:36 Lot of people had the same breakage and was where the hinge pin gets the arm. I will give a chance to the Arrma 6S platform but I'm done with the 3S/4S platform. No hate, I hope they get better QC in the future.
Not to mention that if you send your 6s Kraton or outcast (Typhon can take it) more than 20ft, your chassis will bend. I had to put the $130 M2c chassis on my Kraton already. And that's not counting the $ for the shock towers and chassis braces and upgraded servo and servo mount. It's easily $800+ of upgrades on each of the 6s rigs to make them more bashable and they STILL BREAK more than the 3s and 4s line.
Definitely should buy some better tires Tony. I recommend getting the backflip lps that come on the 4s outcast. They are a little lower profile than the 6s outcast wheels which is nice. I have them on my 6s kraton and love them.
Well i dont know for me i consider the 4s line being trucks i dont know why people thing something to be a monster truck has to have a high center of gravity chassi

Regardless, the new one took some big hits and kept going for me. Already run and recorded more videos with it. I’m loving this truck. Even raced it yesterday at Diggers Dungeon.

But wd40 is only weakening the material on long term i think. That's why it flexes more i guess. Just my two cents on it.
Good vid. Odd break. Wasn't even much of a jump. So far, I'd pick the Maxx mostly because of the shocks, radio system, metal diffs, and no slipper clutch.
Nobody No One What's the point in those parts if the handling is bad ,the Maxx at our bash spot yesterday had some bad handling it really took the fun out of using it (owners words)
@@RallyandTrail Handing importance is personal preference only. I put durability, quality parts, and other factors far above it. I'm a basher, not a racer. Plus, handling can be changed with different wheels and other parts if an owner desires.
Nobody No One Well I own the Kraton and I've now been around and seen a Maxx in action so I feel I can make a genuine comment unlike some of the fan girls that make things up by imagining it . Do you own any rc's? Handling is a major factor racing or bashing ! Nobody wants to bash with a truck that's always on its roof
@@RallyandTrail I'm well aware of the "fan girls" as you say. They are everywhere. If you think handling is the most important thing, that's great. I don't. People would not own Granites, Stampedes, SMT10s, Clodbusters, Lunchboxes and others if handling was extremely important to them.
Nobody No One Slow down my friend I never said handling was the most important thing? It's a major factor when racing or bashing . The granite and stampede at least the 4x4 handle fine ? The rest of them trucks are hardly what I'd call bashers . So what rc's do you own ?
I spray it down and then hit it with the air compressor to spread it and make sure I have coverage. Then I coat it again on the A-arms, wheels bar and wing, and let it sit overnight.
You sure make an argument for soaking the plastic in WD-40. I have to admit that arm broke way to easy. Do you just spray the truck down and not wipe excess off for 24 hours, or do you take it apart and soak the parts covered in WD-40 in a bowl? This sure lands and drives off way better than the Maxx. Maxx lands like an over inflated basketball and the Kraton lands and drives off. Did you use the big ramp with the Maxx? I don't remember it flying that high. Are there any other racing companies making monster trucks like the Tekno MT-410? Can you compare those to the Kraton and Maxx? Thanks
The original arms seems to be more brutal to break i only broke 2 arms but its just me being a moron and cliped things with one tire and i bash hard. You could use rpm arms but the stock arms are cheap and more flexible than what comes woth the truck. Thats an issue with arrma the earlier arm production seems to be weak same went with the arrma granite but after that they seem to do well.

Holy moly your driving the piss outta that thing. I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!!!!
DO YOU JUST WIPE IT DOWN WITH WD40 OR JUST SPRAY IT DOWN
I spray it down and then hit it with the air compressor to spread it and make sure I have coverage. Then I coat it again on the A-arms, wheels bar and wing, and let it sit overnight.
@@CCxRC thanks bud..good idea
Myth but it dont hurt
Thanks
First sentence of this video (Thats what she said!) LOL
I WD-40 mine too, then if they break then ill get the RPM replacements
i have a arrma senton 3s
It wasn’t the slipper it was the box punch settings
Just buy some RPM arms they are almost indestructible and are not much more $ than the stock ones
Already installed 👍😉
@@CCxRC Won't that complicate things when you compare it to other RCs?
The original arms seems to be more brutal to break i only broke 2 arms but its just me being a moron and cliped things with one tire and i bash hard. You could use rpm arms but the stock arms are cheap and more flexible than what comes woth the truck. Thats an issue with arrma the earlier arm production seems to be weak same went with the arrma granite but after that they seem to do well.
Now that you mention it, I had that with my Granite stock front arms as well. No problems after replacing.
