When you say 'make sure the mains filling loop is switched off' does this mean the tap has to be in it's normal closed position or do I need to switch it off somewhere else to stop water coming through when it is opened and attached to the can?
You are technically supposed to remove them in at least Scotland too, no permanent connection (Water Fitting Byelaws 2000 Scotland) but many people don't remove it for whatever reason when the boiler is topped up.
What Fernox DOES NOT TELL YOU anywhere i.e. info on their website or can "the leak sealer will not work as it does need access to air, so any pipework that is leaking that is either buried in concrete or lagged will not seal up" . YES I RECEIVED THIS FROM FERNOX BY EMAIL AFTER BUYING IT AND WASTING MY TIME PUTTING IT IN THE SYSTEM.

its a one way valve, no water will come out
hi, is it better to apply through bleed valve if i no the leak is closest to it.
Why not empty the magnetic filter then top it up with F1?
I didn’t think of that. Thanks mysterious stranger.
@@StellaSteve80 My way of doing this should only take 5 mins max.
@@philipwaldron5338 sorry it might have been ok but connectors were wrong size so wasted time getting can and money😠
You disturb the seal on them filters you run the risk of them leaking, this way is the least disruptive way of doing it
@@tomstrutton4351this is not true, since the filter is designed to be regularly opened up and cleaned.
Does the type of boiler matter? Or can the fernox f4 be used on any combi boiler?
And that is not allowed in Holland
(a permanent connection to the main)
