I isolated both radiator valves, opened the bleed valve and once the little pressure was released I shut the bleed valve and took out the blank plug on the opposite side of the rad, (be careful of a little water) then shortened the part that protrudes from the part that screws into the "plug" end then screwed the threaded end into the radiator. Slowly opened both radiator valves the black "bullet" seals perfectly, I then pushed the sealant into the adaptor, it took around 30sec. I then shut both radiator valves, opened bleed valve, then closed it once the little pressure was released, then slowly removed the adapter and replaced the plug. Will see if the sealant does its job..

Can I not remove water from the rad via the bleed valve?
it would take too long that way
