I've read two Joan Didion's books (The Year of Magical Thinking and Blue Nights). I've just got Play It as It Lays. Hope I like it as much as you did :)

I know Joan Didion isn't really known for her fiction, but I enjoyed Play It as It Lays. So I'll add Democracy to my TBR as well.
