for laptop users like me, you can simply right-click the battery icon then go to power options and there you can change it to performance or even on ultra mode.

Theare are things that should be done for performance, firstly, overclocking safely, secondly, if you like better fps with games, optimize graphics from your nvidia control panel or whatever control panel, graphics settings within game. Adjust fan speed, so you can't burn your cpu or gpu, Also mid-range hardware better as well.
I have fortnite on my laptop i5/ always when on game or creative my fps go 80 then 20 then crash then 40 then 10 then 70 and 50. Ater this methode fortnite run on 120 and 160 fps. Thanks very much

Good question! It probably works differently on each setup, maybe on a decent laptop the other methods are more effective. Have you tested to see if there's any visible difference?
This helped me play yandere simulator better and it doesnt lag as much anymore! When i load in it starts off in 11 fps but when i finish loading it goes up to 50fps! Thankk youuuuu

The update driver thing helped me the Most i was running on 13-14 fps and that boosted it to 60 fps thanks man

Choose "clean install" when installing a new GPU driver.

If you have AMD graphics card it has a clean up tool for uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers

You could try and limit the dust around it/in the room, that way there would be less of a requirement to clean it
