Surprising to see the sigma standing in that rain. I used mine only once in those conditions, but I had with me a sort of plastic foil shaped as a cylinder to put around. The a6400 body was wet, but I was sure no water entered into the non sealed lens. I also used the lens hood and made sure not to tilt the lens upwards so that the front glass element was droplet free, this is why the lens hood is important.
Hello, I have a Sony 6400 too with a Sigma 18 50 and a Viltrox 85 1.8. I want to take photos like those in a rainy day but I don't know if it could be dangerous for the camera and the lenses. What could I use to protect them ?
@@leikosdani cut a rectangle from one of those transparent plastic bags you use in the kitchen to put food in the freezer. then you roll it around the lens to find the right length, you cut it 2cm longer than the actual lens circumference. afterward to put it around the lens again and use transparent tape to have the cylinder. you loose control over focus ring ofc but water will glide around plastic and fall off
Binged watched all of your videos more than once haha. Just rewatched your Budapest POV straight into this one while i'm at 'work' keeping me sane. Give me 12 months and i'll be doing this too!
At 13:00, that is a great shot. That gentleman with the cane is precious. That's one that would make a magazine. Think like a PJ, shoot like a PJ and you will get great photos. Keep it up. Also got the 23mm over the 30mm. A little wider can make a difference in getting or missing a photo.
I got my a6700 this weekend with the kit lens, and I will be getting the Sigma 18-50 mm bc of these POVS . Thank you for always being informative with your shots and showing your work flow , cant waiit for more a67000 videos
These videos make me want the Sony A6700 even more. Been applying to every job I can find to save for it with no luck yet 😥 I got to use one from someone at school on the first day and it was amazing 😄
Regarding your POv street shots….Don you shoot in Aperture Priority, or Manual? If either/or, is your ISO set to auto? Per usual great shots, my man. 🥃
LOVE the indoor market shots, 23mm works well . I was out trying the Viltrox 56mmF1.7 this morning , its a bit tight but a nice lens, worth a try Curtis
Great video. Some lovely shots in there as usual, also, thanks for letting me know about the DJI Action 4, literally just bought a GoPro hero 12😂😂 oh well
I know! 😢 I was waiting for ages for a shot like that, I tried my best to crop but not as good as I’d hope! Part of street photography though, you win some you lose some 📸
Were you using the built in mic on the Action 4, or did you opt for an external mic like the one in the intro? Thanks in advance, loved the video! (As always lol)
I use the ZV-E10 with the Sony OSS lenses to shoot street. Fits my use case perfectly and I love the small form factor of the E10. I will upgrade to the 6700 as my budget allows but Im telling you the E10 is a beast for photography!
I’d highly recommend the A6700 it’s an absolutely brilliant hybrid shooter! You won’t also need to worry about wanting to upgrade the A6700! It’s soooo good! Hope that helps 🙏
I bought an A7III camera a few days ago, but the image quality was very normal, similar to the quality of the iPhone with a lens. It was a disappointment. I do not know how you take the best picture with this amazing quality. I hope to learn that.
Reliability is so key! I’d have to say that the DJI action 4 image quality is wayyyy better, for one it’s a bigger sensor, the white balance is always more accurate and the colours as a result are spot on, at least that’s my findings between the Hero 11 and Action 4 ⚡️
Why is your lowest ISO always 160? I’m new to photography and trying to understand by watching other people do it and really love your style and photography, keep it up! I’m also trying to understand why your aperature is often so “random”, that you’re not shooting on wide open for lowest ISO and no blurry images
It depends upon what you want, both the aperture and iso are related hence, each picture can have both of them different. Also depends on the camera, the a6700 has 2 base isos 100 and 2500 but the a6400 has only 1, 100
Thanks mate, glad you like the content! Also cheers for reaching out, so I’m using aperture priority and I’ve set up the camera to use auto iso. So it’s purely coincidence that it was often choosing iso 160. If you’d like to get a bit more of an understanding on how I setup my camera for street photography this video might help! 🙂 ruclips.net/video/DlsbOpM-iRQ/видео.htmlsi=jN33ukEd9FPwEN6j
Do you currently have a zoom lens, like the Sigma 18-50mm or equivalent? If so, you can start fixing your focal length to those values and see what you prefer. I'm not sure you'll notice too much difference in the quality, and the extra 1/3 (ish) stop won't give you a drastic amount of extra light, AFAIK. I kinda like the 23mm range, since it's the equivalent of the 35mm full frame, and that's what my dad was always using back in the day. I've noticed that the RUclips videos of people saying, "just grab a lens and start shooting," are on the mark. Otherwise, I'll end up in RUclips/review hell, never able to make a decision.
Question for those who use Sigma lenses and the 6400/6600/6700 cams: should I be worried about rain when using this lens or the Sigma 18-50mm? I plan on picking up the Action 4 and do these little street photography POVs myself.
if you know already you are going to use the camera in rain often I would probably look for a weather sealed lens, unfortunately only the art serie for full frame is weather sealed. I know samyang makes weather sealed lenses for aps-c. the sigma 18-50 is unbeatable though, simply take some thin plastic foil and cut it so that you can make a cylinder that goes only around the lens and it's "dressed" like socks. this is what I did. yet if I had unlimited budget I would have bought an art lens like the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DC DN Art, unfortunately those are double the weight and more expensive. if you ever decide going to full frame you are ready to go, you get also more buttons/ function rings.
It’s better to be safe than sorry, on Amazon you can pick up a simple rain cover for your camera which will protect it against the rain. I will admit these conditions were a little too heavy and probably should have had a rain cover myself, but fortunately everything was absolutely fine. Hope that helps and best of luck creating some POVs 😁

Thank you so much. Not too many rainy days here in Malaga but I will try next time @@giovannigio6217
Thanks for showing the raws, like to see the changes in the before and after. Great work!
You bet! 🫶

Ayyy thanks great to hear! You’re welcome mate! 🤩
Finally pov 6700 out again, yey! 🎉

Inspiring, entertaining and always educating great videos and also great scenery
Glad you enjoyed it
This is one of the places I visited on my trip in Europe this summer! I loved taking photos here

Per usual great shots, my man. 🥃
please write the names of the persets you used in the photos. Great job!
Good job, man! A lot of very nice frames! :)
LOVE the indoor market shots, 23mm works well . I was out trying the Viltrox 56mmF1.7 this morning , its a bit tight but a nice lens, worth a try Curtis
Thanks mate! Yeah I Agree 56mm can be a bit to tight in some scenarios but perfect in others! 📸
Great video. Some lovely shots in there as usual, also, thanks for letting me know about the DJI Action 4, literally just bought a GoPro hero 12😂😂 oh well
Thanks mate 👊 Ooo well it’s an action camera at least 😂 it will get the job done I’m sure! Happy creating! ⚡️
I’m so damn happy. I turned on the notifications for your videos because every time I see one of these it makes a workday go by much easier.
Ayyy thanks mate! Glad it makes your workday better! Have a great weekend 😀
aaahhhh damn, that lady infront of the hat shop did you dirty, the guy with the panama hat was just perfectly timed.
I know! 😢 I was waiting for ages for a shot like that, I tried my best to crop but not as good as I’d hope! Part of street photography though, you win some you lose some 📸
Great video! is that a nisi vnd filter?
I had intentions of going to Oxford for the day when I was in London a couple weeks ago but didn't make it. Great stuff as always sir.
Next time! Hope you had a great time in London 😃
Were you using the built in mic on the Action 4, or did you opt for an external mic like the one in the intro? Thanks in advance, loved the video! (As always lol)
Please do a what is in my camera bag 2024 edition🤙🏻🤙🏻
You should make LUTS... Your color grades are cinematic.
ohhh thanks mate! Might look into in the future!
Great pics! Did you use a chest or neck mount for the Action 4?
Thanks! Was using the chest strap here, the GoPro one 🫡
Did you film this last Saturday? The whole of Oxfordshire got torrential rain in the morning and then it was lovely after.
Yes it was last Saturday 😂 i know the weather was so much nicer in the afternoon. I went to Jeremy Clarkson pub, actually met the man himself 😁
"Absolutely noshed" oh dear 😂😂
Can we get a video with the Siuri 23mm f1.2
Amazing video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
What was the first filter you were using before you switched to the mist?
Should I get sony A6700 or sony ZV-E10 for hybrid? Or do you have any other recommendations?
Just buy the one which doesn't break your bank account, but the a6700 is better
I use the ZV-E10 with the Sony OSS lenses to shoot street. Fits my use case perfectly and I love the small form factor of the E10. I will upgrade to the 6700 as my budget allows but Im telling you the E10 is a beast for photography!
6700. the zv-e10 is purely a videocamera, for example it doesn't have an evf
I’d highly recommend the A6700 it’s an absolutely brilliant hybrid shooter! You won’t also need to worry about wanting to upgrade the A6700! It’s soooo good!
Hope that helps 🙏
A6700 is just way better, you can also look at the zve10 ii
Which filters were you using throughout this video? Heard the bloom filter in the market but what about outside? Thanks
I was also using a cpl filter 👌
What’s your experience about a6700 in these kind of weather conditions?
I bought an A7III camera a few days ago, but the image quality was very normal, similar to the quality of the iPhone with a lens. It was a disappointment. I do not know how you take the best picture with this amazing quality. I hope to learn that.
Lenses are very important for the quality of photos. If you're using the kit lens, it's not the best.
What focus method did you use? One Shot AF or AI Servo AF? 1-point AF/Spot AF/Expand AF area/Zone AF?
The DJI is so reliable even if the image quality is slightly not as good as GoPro. Reliability has to win
Reliability is so key! I’d have to say that the DJI action 4 image quality is wayyyy better, for one it’s a bigger sensor, the white balance is always more accurate and the colours as a result are spot on, at least that’s my findings between the Hero 11 and Action 4 ⚡️
Which a series model, or any camera really that is around $600 is best for concert/nature photos?
Are you using manual mode all over the shoot?
Aperture priority 📸

Which lens would you recommend: the Sigma 23mm f/1.4 or the Viltrox 27mm f/1.2?
Exactly what I'm dealing with right now haha

do you shoot raw sir or jpeg?
