i do like my jeans and jacket if i’m just nipping into town for a coffee or something but if i’m out properly.. it’s my 2 piece dainese suit everytime, love your gear. i hate seeing people out without full gear on. 👍🏻
Howzit, I think your a good RUclipsr, I like your interest and enthusiasm in for bikes and the gear, very down to earth just like talking to my mates about bikes in the pub. Keep up the great work.
Chaz, you are one my favorite 3 channels on youtube. so glad riding season is here and there will be steady vids from you. Missed you during the off season.
Nice to see another great video chaz, gear videos are always great, good advice thank you, separate back protector is a no brainer, ride safe and enjoy the sun everyone 🏍✊🏻
Really enjoyed the video Riding a motorcycle is a passion and you really show it in your videos Riding Gear protects you and you don't forget about style and that's what I like about you
A well paced honest video. I use Knox Handroid gloves, although not at this time of year. A separate back protector is definitely a must have. Well done Chaz.
when i first started riding 35 years ago lol there wasn’t the gear back then but there is no excuse these days of not wearing the right gear, great video and your Beautiful what more could we ask for ;) look forward to seeing more vids like this
You've got such an awesome 'down-to-earth' way of talking to your audience. I'm sure that's why people relate to you and like your vids. Not surprisingly, there's heaps of really important and handy tips in this vid for picking gear. Top work PHC :)
You already Made me buy the pyramid plastics fly screen. Now I cant stop thinking about those handroids. Especially since I hurt my wrist last year in a collision with a car and am looking for a good glove with excellent wrist protection. So I guess I should thank you... But my wallet kinda hates you :p
Thanks for the gear run through Chaz, always enjoy your videos, youre a genuine fun person who doesnt seem to take life to serious, keep up the good work
You should try BKS leathers, British company, bespoke fitting, you choose the colour/style/stitching/lettering/sleeve length. Once it's broken in, literally will fit like a second skin. More expensive than off the shelf but will fit you properly everywhere and last for years. No more ball space lol
I honestly dont trust customs now haha. I had one made and it fit worse than my off the shelf mens A stars. I honestly dont really care about the fit anymore im over it 😂. Aslong as they arent unsafe because they are too busy I can deal with it.
Great video Chaz. What i do before i go out on my bike and it,s raining is put a black bin liner into my ruck sack and then put all the stuff i want to carry into it. Elastic band round the top. If my gear is leaking, not leathers, i spray my jacket etc with Grangers Footwear Repel and let it dry in for 15 - 20 mins.
Another thing that is often overlooked is hip protection. Most car or bike derived broken backs are a result of some kind of hip trauma, rather than an injury to the actual back. Also a broken hip or pelvis is pretty serious anyway, so it’s worth getting some kind of hip protection, even the little foam pads you get in some jeans work.
Always enjoy hearing your opinions about your experience on gear and accessories! I have been riding 4 years now and my gear consists of lots of base layers and a joe rocket mesh jacket, mesh pants, and gloves. I ride in Chicago so the weather is from 90f in the summer to 10f in winter, and I can say I've ridden in both of those conditions extensively. I got the mesh jacket and pants because in the summer I can still feel like I'm riding in shorts and tshirt without risking being a squid and when it gets cold just layer up! Excellent airflow for pants and jacket and the jacket came with a rain layer so that helps when temps drop! For the longest time I only rode in sneakers, like high top Nike jordans but I recently got myself 2 pairs of riding sneakers from speed and strength I think, they are budget shoes since it is my first few pair but well rated and stylish for my commute/work riding. I have a bell helmet that is due for a replacement soon as well :O I was looking at the Kreiger (sp?) dry packs for my touring adventures, much easier than getting hard bags on the seat if I'm only packing for a week long trip! Glad to hear you like the brand! I know that you ride with the gopro most often, and I was a daily gopro rider too until I found this dual camera 'dashcam' motorcycle DVR and I highly recommend it after a few months and quite a few crazy clips saved (not sponsored or anything, just a quality product). It's called the INNOVV K2 and runs about the same cost as a go pro but includes front and rear video, GPS speed overlaid on video, GPS position for GMaps and auto recording any time you start the bike up. I am pretty competent working on bikes and with electrical so it took me about 34-45 m to install and it's been working like a champ since. Keep up the good work and videos, and ride safe! Edit: On the note that you asked how we ride, if we ever go without gear, my answer is NO. I always gear up, which is also a reason I got the mesh. Heat can't be an excuse to ride in shorts and a tshirt and rip yourself up if you spill. I always gear up because my first year on a bike I grabbed too much front brake during a panic stop and the bike just fell over leaving me with a few nice patches of skin missing from my hands/arms. No damage to the bike aside from a few 'character' scratches, so what are you going to do :'D
Nice video and very informative. I'm a ATGATT person and wear a textile jacket with CE rated armor in the elbows, shoulder and back. My jeans are kevlar lined with CE rated hip and knee armor. Boots are Spidi XP's which are great. Kevlar has a life of about 5 years. This was the max for ballistic resistance vests that I wore over a 30 year career in law enforcement and the environment was much harsher than you would ever expect to for jeans.but I think it is more of a CYA thing for the company. My helmet is a Scorpion EXO2000 which although is not a s high end as the Shoe it is Snell rated. Fits really snug and flows a air like crazy. BTW the weather here today was 70 F (21 C) and was awesome.Went out and hammered on my SV650 for 120 miles. Missed your vlogs over the winter and can't wait for more content from you. You know your stuff! Ride safe!
I've always liked gear even when I was too little to ride, but may sound odd, but I love getting geared up...the straps, zippers, buckles...it's like you're a pilot getting ready for flight
Great video, time has proven, leathers win every time, Summer is coming hopefully as long as last year, so we can all get out. O and love the wall paper 😊
hi chaz, great video, and really really awesome tip on that back protector, am a new rider, and this is actually the first video I came across about those, thank you for the gear tips and I hope you keep the vids coming, ride safe n happy days :)
Soooo ... I do wear riding jeans, not common in US to see full leathers on the streets. I dont like it ... so I wear my motocross knee guard setup underneath, but still .... makes a guy feel vulnerable. And .. expensive helmets .. yes, and YES. Expensive gear, YES. But, it can take years to accumulate good gear, so people shouldn't get discouraged it they cant blow big money right away. Upgrade as you can .. Good vid Chaz :)
I am SO impressed how you are all about protection. So smart! Thank you for a great Video and sharing your gear. As a female rider, this was so informative and enjoyable to watch. Do you wear your leather suit every time you ride? Respect 👊🏼and I am a fan from California.
Thank you! If its above say 10 degrees always yes! Now I'm no longer commuting I don't need to ride in the cold so I'll be wearing my suit everytime. 😊
Chaz , AndyManCam , Matt @ the workshop & Chronicles of Mr. Fish , All you need for Biker Info Top Video , Damn right about the Helmets & Protective Gear Although I use Kevlar Jeans & Protective Pads , Cant afford the Leathers Yet , Love Gore-Tex too As for the Bag I decided to youtube Marine / Divers Bags & it came back with Bear Grylls Overboard Divers Bag . . . . Its 30L a Black or Fluo one & they are totally Submersible .... Takers waterproofing to another level
I don't wear my neck warmer in summer... pain in the arse tucking it up into the helmet... I use LS2 carbon helmets ( got 2 now ) and very light and affordable.. RST tractech evo gloves and tractech boots... spike one piece always... not fun going to the loo but a small price to pay.... Always a compromise on cost and comfort, especially if you do take a tumble and need replacing again.... Glad I don't have your length hair 😂
Great vid again, thanks for sharing. I like the use of the back protector. Tbh it never crossed my mind to have one but will be getting one soon. makes sense. ta much.
Another great vid chaz I couldn’t agree with you more how important your gear is. It is well worth spending that extra money to protect ourselves. I have thought about the Knox gloves before but why do they not bridge the 3rd-4th fingers like my alpinestars super tech
All helmets are safe as they need to pass a SHARPS test. But you are right invest in a good one as they are lighter, quieter and fit better also they don't fog up. Good vid keep up the good work.
Great video Chaz. Agree with the leathers statement but I ride all year round, so unless I'm out for a sunny play day I wear Alpnestars textiles. They're brilliant, waterproof and warm in the cold. May not be as good sliding down the road but Im hoping not to put that too the test.. 😎
Yep, we can't always wear leathers. I didnt commute in winter in them obviously 😂 textiles are meant for that but I definitely don't feel safe.🤣 Comfy though!
I shop gear target what I want & wait for it to go on sale . Nothing like Rukka Shoei Schueberth Revit at 40% off. It’s nice to have info at hand ,but don’t swea it u can add it just like u did . Just say u will add it and point to where u will put it and like magic it’s there. Fun video and nice gear . The colors don’t clash . Lol.
Great video , got some awesome gear ( especially them socks haha ) The sidi boots are awesome I have them to. They took a bit of time getting use to doing them up but wouldn’t change them for anything else. Oh the start of video made me laugh. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏼
PistonHeadChaz It’s not as easy as people think to talk to a camera.... that’s one of the reasons I stopped mine videos. It takes a lot of time & ideas etc etc to do vblogs, so I know what you mean so I appreciate people making them when they can.
Whatup Chaz 👍🏻 i agree 💯 with everything you have said here about gear its so important. I myself have quite a bit I’m a Dainese nut 🥰. Ive two Dainese race suits the Laguna Seca and the Crono i also have two pairs of Dainese ST Giro boots one white pair one black two lids one a Shoei NXR MM93 rep and the HJC RPHA fuera Lorenzo ghost just to mix it up a little. A Dainese-D Core dry under suit soooooooo nice to wear under your leathers again like yourself i don’t understand why people don’t wear them its a must for me. I have a Dainese air frame D1 textile jacket that i wear with some Bull-It sr6 jeans and Alpinestars Anaheim Hi-Tops if i go on a chilled out ride ive a few pairs of gloves all summer ones from Alpinestars to Dainese that I mix match. Sorry to bore you with this comment but i so agree with you on gear its so important!!!! Oh ive actually brought a new bike to for this season its not been delivered yet as having a couple of bits done before i take delivery but its a 2016 Zx10R winter edition can’t wait 😊
Great Video and like you have gear to nice for the track. 😄 I find TCX all weather base layer is great. And grey stripped, you look like you're part of the Startrek crew. You can also get Kriega back protectors you can put into back packs. Thus your back pack out on the road, becomes a secondary back Protector.
Got the R30, the strap add on and a 10l pack. You really do get what you pay for with bike gear, you can get the odd bargain like my bluetooth headset £30 and it's outstanding even compared to the £100-200 units.
Totally agree on helmets!!! My first helmet was not a great fit, tho it might been of the price. That's until brought a Shoei Neotec what a difference it makes my riding, well worth the money! Great info video!🤙
The Alpine Stars Look nice .. Dainise makes an air bag system.. I think now there is an air bag vest you can wear under your present riding gear.. Sorry I forgot the exact details ..
@@MotoMichelle Funny I just called a local Dealer about snowmobile clothes that float if you fall in the Water.. I also was looking into an air cell vest just for warmth.. Sold from I think the UK . This small Local dealer wants $100.00 cash for a 1 year membership .. Then you can buy all the parts and accessories they sell for 15% over dealer cost.. They used to be a Triumph Dealer and a KTM Dealer but now they just sell parts and do minor service like change tires brakes oil changes. Most of us enthusiasts do all that in our garages..
This Clothing Company is based in Canada. I guess if you are not crossing Lakes and Rivers on a snowmobile being able to float is not a big deal. www.fxrracing.com/snow/mens/jackets/performance-trail.html
Its a serious comment , i had sidi boots on when i had an accident and the paramedics struggled to pull the boots off my badly broken leg , ouch !! ( i wasnt able to instruct them )
Thanks for your gear presentation ! You said that you use your old helmet on track but are you allowed to use it with the camera ? In france we can't because of safety. And the Handroids are just beautiful !! I want them!!
Cool video Chaz 👍🏻 The thing is with bike gear, its like Tattoos, once you start your can't stop !! 🙈 You get what you pay for at the end the day, & that can be very very expensive, so i guess buy as good as you can afford. RST leathers are good, not as cool as a set of Dienese or Alpinestars leathers, but less expensive to replace after sliding down the road on your Butt, which i found out myself.😂😎
@@PistonHeadChaz Glad to hear it! 😂 Don't get me wrong, if i had endless funds i would buy all the top gear . I got enough stick off my mates when i was upside down in a hedge as it was, imagine what i would have got if i was dressed the same as Rossi ( Marquez in your case ) 🙈🙈🤣
Love the helmets but can I suggest you look at the Sony action cams; I had a go-pro but the square shape is rubbish for mounting on the side of the helmet. The Sony shape is bang on the money and the image quality is pretty top notch as well.
I can barely move my legs when I put my leathers on with thermals on..God knows how they get on in Jean's 🤔 Think my next is going to be a Shoei since the HJC I have is too noisy
Nice segment about gear but, your choice of wallpaper speaks to your chill demeanor. Anyway, what about jackets and pants with built in armor? Or would you say buy the armor separate from the clothing?
Its not my house so not my choice in wallpaper lol. Sometimes the built in stuff can move around making it pretty much useless so separate would be the best option.
I have some sidi boots got them 8 years ago and they are still in great condition. As for the vortice my mate shattered his pelvis and elbow in an accident and came away with just a foot sprain from those !!!!! Wouldnt use anything else 👍👍👍👍
@@PistonHeadChaz yeah he was wearing full gear £500 arai lid and was unconscious when I ran over to him.....😔 although just a little over a year later now and he's back riding with me !
Hi Chaz. Really like your videos, great gear and awesome bike. I'm a Rossi fan but not fanatical enough to get 46 tattooed on my arm, you have bigger balls then me lol. 👍
Really liked the video chaz! I've got tons of gear myself! With three bikes and wanting some versitality from time to time :P.. Got some bags matching the brands of the bikes too!
Good video. I just wear my jeans and leather Jacket when going to wuk along with my boots. But any other time it's full leathers. I think it makes the rides better as I push the bike harder when wearing all the gear.
One item you really should add to your riding kit - Please get yourself a Chest Impact Protector! A hard hit to the chest and not having a chest impact protector will really mess up your internals... I do know many women say the chest protectors are not the most comfortable to have under the leathers for natural reasons.... but..... -Take care and Let it Roaaaarrrr!!!
PistonHeadChaz you never know what might come in the future, you’ve got your whole life ahead of you. Save £100 a month and you will have a made to measure Dainese in your own design fitting you perfect in 15 months time. 🤟😀
Know one judges you harder than yourself. You Seem so genuine really glad your part of the motorcyclist community. Also very pretty, intelligent. And i love you voice. I'm from bristol if i go too far north it gets harder too understand the accent.
I have never worn leather, have had 2 accidents, the first was in full textile gear, draggin jeans, dri rider jacket, alpine stars c10 wind stopper gloves and icon reign gloves, i had a little bit of gravel rash on my elbows, knees and lower back, the elbows and knees were due to being 145kg so the armour never sat where it was meant to, leather could have saved the little bit of gravel rash though, how ever the major injuries were impact related, smashed wrist, 3 broken ribs and a dead kidney, leather would not have saved that, the second one i had normal work jeans and runners on, had gravel rash on my knee, fractured wrist (same wrist as the last accident) and sprained shoulder, once again apart from the knee leather would not have helped me much, so from my experience, for road riding and commuting leather is not as good at injury prevention as people think it is, for the average rider good quality and good fitting textile will do fine, and if you get the right gear its much warmer.
just do your thing girl , do what you like :-) you rock girl, looking very good and crazy of motor bikes what do we need more :-) keep positieve and enjoy your sunday girl. greetings from Belgium ;)
Hello , i was looking at your video about Shoei Xspirit 3 and i wanted to ask you about the differences between old model and newer model .. can u feel the differences between them ? i mean your red/black 2017 shoei xpirit 3 is bigger/sharper , but the red/white/blue 2019 shoei xpirit 3 has more rounded shapes in the front and at the back .. u got my subscription / like because u presented them both , thank you /ride safe !!
This girl is such a sweetheart. Great to see your passion for safe riding.
Good video Chaz, you're genuine and honest with no bullshit which makes you good to watch and listen to.

Some collection there!😂 Enjoy the new bike!😊
PistonHeadChaz yup its taken some time for me to get all this gear but you can never have to much lol 😂. And thank you i definitely will
Love the vids good to have you back...And that nervous laugh is cute
Love the videos. I could literally listen to you all day.
Glad to see you back!!
Yes I did see those! Great idea
Love the mario at the beginning
Got the R30, the strap add on and a 10l pack. You really do get what you pay for with bike gear, you can get the odd bargain like my bluetooth headset £30 and it's outstanding even compared to the £100-200 units.
Glad to see you back 🙂. If you fancy a new leather suit I recommend the RST Tractech Evo 3 really good quality leathers 👍
Sorry I forgot the exact details ..
yes i like the look of the air bag vest :)
@@MotoMichelle Funny I just called a local Dealer about snowmobile clothes that float if you fall in the Water..
I also was looking into an air cell vest just for warmth.. Sold from I think the UK

Paramedic "we need to get this boot off right away"
.... How haha 😂 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Fantastic video tho, keep uploading 👍
Goof job lots of us are bikers😂
Its a serious comment , i had sidi boots on when i had an accident and the paramedics struggled to pull the boots off my badly broken leg , ouch !! ( i wasnt able to instruct them )
@@colin9967 see, with boots it has to be protected but easy to come off, if an accident does happen
The suit suits you.. those boots look really nice.. almost like a robot's boots..
Thanks for your gear presentation !
You said that you use your old helmet on track but are you allowed to use it with the camera ? In france we can't because of safety.
And the Handroids are just beautiful !! I want them!!
No we aren't allowed either I have to take the camera off for track days 😞.
Hi chaz great to see you . Love your style with hat 😀 👍 . Love your, reviews keep them coming look forward to your uploads . Ride safe 😀
Great video you are completely right about old alpinestars ive got an old alpine jacket it’s really thick and heavy compared to today’s equivalent
Nice one chaz gear is such a personal choice needs to work be comfy and of course look good thanks for posting
Cool video Chaz 👍🏻
The thing is with bike gear, its like Tattoos, once you start your can't stop !!
Yep, it's true. My boyfriend has a Spada set and he crashed 3 times in them racing and they were completely fine.😂
Yep they do seem much more aerodynamic!
I can barely move my legs when I put my leathers on with thermals on..God knows how they get on in Jean's 🤔 Think my next is going to be a Shoei since the HJC I have is too noisy
Yep, it baffles me 😂.
Atleast my girlfriend is inspired to ride cuz of you. That i couldn't do. Thanks to you. keep the good work going on!
Brilliant!😁
Great video Chaz,I hope to get my first ride of the year in tomorrow as well
Enjoy!😁
By the way. I always wear my leather suit. It makes me feel safe
Love the videos, could you show us your winter gear please?
I don't have anything worth showing. I've never bough anything decent. If I had the money it would all be Rukka but it's way too expensive.
Great video, back protectors something to look at
Nice video chaz! A fan here from philippines.. 👌😎🏍Team Yamaha!
Great informative video. You do tend to pay for what you get with bike gear.
I have some sidi boots got them 8 years ago and they are still in great condition. As for the vortice my mate shattered his pelvis and elbow in an accident and came away with just a foot sprain from those !!!!! Wouldnt use anything else 👍👍👍👍
Great to hear about the boots! Not so much your friends accident🙈.
@@PistonHeadChaz yeah he was wearing full gear £500 arai lid and was unconscious when I ran over to him.....😔 although just a little over a year later now and he's back riding with me !
@@jakebutcher3494 Sounds like he got lucky! Glad he's ok.
Its ok if you talk for days i like listening to you plus its informative.. love your content
Hi Chaz. Really like your videos, great gear and awesome bike. I'm a Rossi fan but not fanatical enough to get 46 tattooed on my arm, you have bigger balls then me lol. 👍
93 is my birth year!😂
That's cool, same as Marc. 👍
Really liked the video chaz! I've got tons of gear myself! With three bikes and wanting some versitality from time to time :P.. Got some bags matching the brands of the bikes too!
Oo snazzy 😎🤣
@@PistonHeadChaz Are you on facebook too, or just instagram?
I have a page but I'm currently taking a break from FB. 😊
@@PistonHeadChaz fair enough :)
Great video Chaz :)
I love Knox too :)
Yes Knox gloves are brill
Thanks and yes they are a brilliant brand.😊
@@PistonHeadChaz I also have the knox armored jacket which I love 😃
Good video. I just wear my jeans and leather Jacket when going to wuk along with my boots. But any other time it's full leathers. I think it makes the rides better as I push the bike harder when wearing all the gear.
Definitely leather, even if its stinking hot. I've been knocked off twice and walked away relatively unscathed.
Good video Chaz Really enjoyed the video
One item you really should add to your riding kit - Please get yourself a Chest Impact Protector! A hard hit to the chest and not having a chest impact protector will really mess up your internals... I do know many women say the chest protectors are not the most comfortable to have under the leathers for natural reasons.... but..... -Take care and Let it Roaaaarrrr!!!
Yes! I do need one! I should have mentioned one tbh but I forgot!
@@PistonHeadChaz -Happy Riding and stay SAFE : )
Funny wallpaper :)
Evening Chaz, when you get a new set of leathers Manchester Dainese do made to measure for around £1500.
Pfftt I'll never have that kind of money for a suit 🤣.
PistonHeadChaz you never know what might come in the future, you’ve got your whole life ahead of you. Save £100 a month and you will have a made to measure Dainese in your own design fitting you perfect in 15 months time. 🤟😀
Great video chaz. Nice to see you back. Ride safe.
Thanks and you.😁
Chaz, where do you keep your bike clothing, garage or indoors?@@PistonHeadChaz
@@martin319 Indoors
Love your videos. Nobody likes their own content.
I guess!🤣
Know one judges you harder than yourself. You Seem so genuine really glad your part of the motorcyclist community. Also very pretty, intelligent. And i love you voice. I'm from bristol if i go too far north it gets harder too understand the accent.
Love your videos Chaz, gorgeous! I've wanted the MT07 for ages....but I've nowhere to keep it :(
I have never worn leather, have had 2 accidents, the first was in full textile gear, draggin jeans, dri rider jacket, alpine stars c10 wind stopper gloves and icon reign gloves, i had a little bit of gravel rash on my elbows, knees and lower back, the elbows and knees were due to being 145kg so the armour never sat where it was meant to, leather could have saved the little bit of gravel rash though, how ever the major injuries were impact related, smashed wrist, 3 broken ribs and a dead kidney, leather would not have saved that, the second one i had normal work jeans and runners on, had gravel rash on my knee, fractured wrist (same wrist as the last accident) and sprained shoulder, once again apart from the knee leather would not have helped me much, so from my experience, for road riding and commuting leather is not as good at injury prevention as people think it is, for the average rider good quality and good fitting textile will do fine, and if you get the right gear its much warmer.
No of course but I just feel better wearing it.
Mmmm, the gear, that's why I'm here :)
Another good video... Agree that your head and feet are important; oh and all the rest in between to 😂
lol :)
Moto Michelle 👍

Hello , i was looking at your video about Shoei Xspirit 3 and i wanted to ask you about the differences between old model and newer model .. can u feel the differences between them ? i mean your red/black 2017 shoei xpirit 3 is bigger/sharper , but the red/white/blue 2019 shoei xpirit 3 has more rounded shapes in the front and at the back .. u got my subscription / like because u presented them both , thank you /ride safe !!
